Has anyone else seen "North Country" yet?

I saw it yesterday and it was really good. Charlize Theron did a phenominal job.

It was a sad and disturbing true story though. I swear I wanted to jump out of my seat and beat the heck out of those creeps a number of times!!

It made me cry! What an awesome movie though. It's definitely going to be nominated for an Academy Award too...I just know it!

i don't wanna sound morbid but do they show rape in this movie. i got fooled when i saw prince of tides and it just disturbed me so badly i never even want the dang movie in this house, or hear the name.i wanna see it b/c charlize is just awesome,but i don't want that to be the only thing i remember from the movie.

They show a very quick scene of her being raped as a teenager by her teacher. They don't show it until almost the end of the movie. She is talking about it in court. They are both fully clothed though, and you just see their heads through the window of a door. They don't show it all, but you know what is going on.

It was hard to watch that part, but it was a great movie.

that i can handle is showing it full out is what bother me. it was hard for me to get through monster after that scene as well. even though she did an incredible job in her transformation for that role. and they do such a good job at acting its almost like its real for me. thanks for the heads up though that should encourage me to get a night out soon.

I saw this yesterday too. I thought it was a great movie. I cried too - very disturbing.

BTW, my DH and I always eat at that restaurant that was in the movie. The Village Inn.
