Morning Everyone,

This morning was CTX Shoulders & Imax 3 modifying some of the higher impact jumps on the rebounder. I hope I'm not sorry that I did those shrugs. I'm not really supposed to do them cuz of my injury, but I did it with lighter weights and kept my shoulderblades retracted. My shoulders are still hurting from yesterday's leg workout which I might add was pretty good since my legs are a bit sore today. Surely all that squatting and lunging has to do something for me!

ETA: I meant to add - maybe I am getting a bit more muscular, as when I put my work tee shirt (that I haven't worn for a month or so) and blouse this morning, it was awful tight thru my chest, back and under my arms.....I guess I should have taken pictures when I started doing Cathe to compare.

Hello All!

This morning I did IMAX 3. This afternoon I will do about 30 minutes on the Elliptical and then I will do a shoulder workout. As you know I don't have the CTX series (not yet anyway). I can look up the exercises, but can someone tell me in general about how many reps they are doing on the exercises?

Lora...way to go muscle woman!! Take measurements at least so you can compare.

Hi Guys!

I overslept today! I hit the snooze once, then turned off the alarm. So, I had to cut my w/o short.

I did CTX shoulders and IMAX3 warm up through Interval 6.

Lora, this may sound corney, but when I was doing those shrugs, I thought of you. I wondered if you would/could do those. I did use 12 pounds, but would not want to go any heavier than that.

Marietta, the exercises done in CTX are:

overhead press warm up set (5 pounds)
overhead press for two sets (Cathe uses 15 pounds)

bent arm side lateral raises for two sets

giant set (using 5 pounds)
- long lever side lateral raises
- rear delt flys (45 degree tilt)
- front raises

bent over shrug (45 degree tilt) for two sets (12 pounds)

overhead press (8 pounds) for 16 reps

I don't know the reps for these exercises except the last one, since Cathe says it. My guess is around 12 to 16.

Morning ladies

Sounds like you all had some great workouts! (all the same ones) Hehehe.

Today I have Step Heat since I am a day behind for the week. No swimming today. Mom needs a break from taking all 3 kids. I do not believe I have done Step Heat since I have a real hard time with the step workouts and figuring them out. Should be interesting! LOL!

Bevelry-How was the Kenny Chesney concert?! I am excited to hear. Did you buy a t-shirt? How was Gretchan Wilson and Pat Green?

If you stand with a slight tip forward about 45 degrees and hold the dumbbells in front of you, parellel to the floor, then shrug your shoulders up. YOur arms stay straight and do not move. You'll really feel it in your traps. Make sure your shoulders do not round forward.

I've got the kids weeding right now}( , and then lunch and then I will take them to the pool!!

Marietta thanks..... I am going to stick with Bootcamp and see where it takes me??? I will do that this evening. I am flirting with the idea to get a weighted ball. (currently I have 2lb oof ball)I have been subbing a wt and using my ball for the workout right now.

What size should I go with?? I am thinking 5 or 6lbs???

I use an eight pound medicine ball. It's not too heavy for the exercises Cathe does.

I have a question for you, could you swing in SJP in with your BC rotation, or are you focusing on something in particular that's in that w/o?

ps. good for you getting your kids to help with the yard work.

I just want to say...........I can't believe I'm supposed to do Leaner Legs tomorrow! My legs are sore. I just walked back from the cafeteria. Yikes.

Thanks for the imput. I was not sure about the ball? I just thought I would do a Bootcamp rotation. One of the ya ya's did and had GREAT results. I don't think she even did any cardio imbetween. I really enjoy bootcamp (think it is a GOOD total body workout) It's kinda nice to really get to KNOW a dvd. (I have never really done that before:7

I find the taking the kids to the pool such a good incentive to get them to do something.:D

P:S: BTW I am modifying some of bootcamps high impact with the rebounder. There is no WAY I could do that every other day without modifying:)
 
Hi Ladies,

Yesterday I did a 7.5 mile run. Today I did a 5.5 mile run and MM (56 min timesaver). It was a good total body. I have lost some strength not lifting for a few weeks.

Kenney Chesney concert was awesome. Gretchen Wilson was my favorite singer though. Kenney was nice to look at.. :D Pat Greene sung a few and Uncle Kracker sang too. I had a blast....

Nicole, isn't that called bribery... HE HE :D Sounds like a good way to get some help..
