Hardcore Rotation Checkin Wednesday July 13

Morning Everyone,

This morning I did Muscle Endurance. I had my rotation paper marked to add on 20 minutes of cardio, but I didn't see it until it was too late and I had to start getting ready for work.

I'm a little out of whack this week, as I have just come down with a sinus infection over the last 2 days. I never take any time off work sick and I'm heavily debating calling off sick Thursday and Friday. I am well enough to go in, but I'm thinking I need a couple mental health days anyway.....but then I feel guilty if I do that. We'll see what I decide.

ETA: By the way -- when Cathe has a rotation that has 2 ab portions back to back, is this an error or are we supposed to work our abs 2 days in a row? I always thought we were supposed to treat them like any other muscle group with a rest period. Also, on the rotation week I'm doing, she has Pure Strength Legs scheduled the day after Muscle Endurance. Is this right or an error? I have moved my days around to space it out....cuz I had to in order to get the 20 minute extra aerobic workout in that I missed today....but I'd still like to know for future reference.

This morning I did Lean Legs and I also did GS-Back. I will be going for a run during lunch this afternoon.

Lora...Sorry you're not feeling well...I think you should call in. I think you could really use some time off...you work so hard!!

On the workouts...I believe that occasionally it would be okay to do abs two days in a row as long as you're not sore from the previous day. As for following ME with complete leg workout the following day, I think the same thing applies. Generally circuit workouts do not exhaust my legs and I find that I can do good complete leg workout the day after. That's just my opinion. If you don't feel comfortable doing that...then I would switch things around a bit to accomodate.

Good Morning,

Lora you ask really good questions about rotations. Those are things I struggle with too. Most of Cathe's weight workouts are total body or circuit. So, what are you supposed do? Personally, I think abs can be worked two days in a row if no weight is being used. The ab sections at the end of the workouts are not tough enough for me to feel I shouldn't do them again. I hope others have answers for us.

Well, guys, I've been holding off mentioning this, but....I'm PREGNANT! I'm three months along now. That is why I've decided not to go on the road trip.
This was an unexpected surprise, and I've already gotten rid of all the baby things we had before, so working and not spending the money on the trip is best for us right now.
BTW, the nurse practioner keeps reminding me of my "advanced age" so I better be "careful", especially exercising...oh if she only knew who Cathe is! hahaha I'm 34, and will be 35 August 27. So I'm OLD.

This morning I did GS Chest and Triceps. I can still do all the push up on my toes.:)

Yesterday I stuck with doing KPC. Today I had bootcamp planned but I need to finish packing for the trip since my flight leaves at 5:55 in the morning. We are having company over tonight since today is my Birthday. Eating well is probably out of the question for today. My sons brought me breakfast in bed. I had a bowl of cereal, a blueberry muffin bar, and OJ. How sweet is that?! Of course mommy had to eat it, how could I not. Sweeties!! :)

Susan! Congratulations!! If you are old then I must be a senior citizen!! Certainly you can take easy, but because you are already active you can still work out pretty good...Just listen very closely to your body.

Sabrina...Happy Birthday Girl!! Have a great day and if you don't get to do Bootcamp today...that's okay because you're gonna work out plenty this weekend! Breakfast in Bed from your sons...how sweet is that!! Enjoy...

Sabrina - Happy Birthday. I don't think I've ever had breakfast in bed and I've been around for quite some time. How special!
 
Marietta & Lora--Thank you for the birthday wishes!! The breakfast in bed was a sweet thing for my boys to do! I ate every bite of it too. Good thing I will be working out all weekend! LOL! I will need it. They also made me a cake with Dad last night and they want to make me smores this evening over the fire pit. :)

Todays workout was KM w/u & cardio followed by KPC intensity drills, then Bowflex & Free weights back & biceps, Stretch Max w/ band.

Lora I often go ahead and do two ab segments back to back days. These are not real long. If you are not using weight or anything go ahead. As for PS Legs and ME, ME has a very small amount of time invested in lower body. Unless you are feeling a lot of muscle soreness after one of these I don't see a problem with doing them on consecutive days.

Susan congratualations on the baby. I wouldn't think of you as old:) You are in much better shape to handle a pregnancy than a lot of women would be.

Sabrina happy birthday. That is so sweet that your family is making sure you have a great birthday:)
