Hardcore Rotation Checkin Tuesday April 5

Morning Ladies -

I did Standing Legs, Core Max (balanced core), and some Low & High Intensity Drills from Kick, Punch and Crunch today. My lats are still very sore. It's weird to have only certain body parts sore. I've never worked my muscles like this. I've always done full body workouts, so I'm hoping to get good results with this rotation (if I could ever figure out what weights to use when).

I just ate some almonds and yogurt and I'm going to have some Shredded Wheats. I had a protein drink after my workout. I have been starving the last few days....combination of PMS and this workout routine. I'll have salad for lunch and fruit for snacks.

I did Lowmax this morning. I am following the ME hardcore rotation with some tweeks here and there.
I'm glad we're keeping up with the check ins. It keeps me motivated.

Today was MIS, first time on this one and I am in need of something fresh ( I have done MM soooo many times in the ME rotation so I subbed today ).
I really liked MIS, similar to PH in it's format, but more strength oriented. Nice workout!

Hi guys,
I haven’t been around these last few days since I was visiting my parents, and didn't workout at all. Now, I find out I have to go away again at the end of this week, and may have another weekend off. I may not be able to follow the rotation this and next week, since I like to work my legs twice a week (one HEAVY and one endurance).
So, if you don't mind I can check in during the week, just not the weekends.

Hi Everybody ~

Well, despite my best intentions, I did not train at 4AM. (If my sleep is interrupted, and it usually is, it's a workout getting out of bed at 4AM.) Needless to say, I felt like a slug the entire day. But I kept my diet relatively clean (I ate only 1 Dove Dark Chocolate Promise!) and pyched myself up for IMAX3. When I got home, I was going to plug in IMAX2 because the last time I did IMAX3 (which was at 4AM, mind you!) I thought Cathe was CRAZY!!! I found this workout incredibly challenging. Anyway, as I was loading the DVD player I told myself, "Self, don't be a wuss. IMAX3 is on the rotation, IMAX3 is going in the DVD player. ...just do the best you can."

Guess what? I THINK I LOVE IMAX3!!! I had to make some slight variations because I don't have all the footwork down on the combos and I modified some of the blasts because I'm not "quite there yet" BUT I went thru all 10 intervals and the stretch! Yipee!!!

Interval 1 on StretchMax was also on the rotation so I indulged in the stretches. I'm excited thinking about the wonderful benefits my body will realize as I increase flexibility thru this rigorous routine. I had some "kinks" and cramping (and my sweating feet - sorry if that grosses anybody out - kept sliding on my yoga mat) but I completed that workout as well. I know I don't keep myself hydrated enough and with the heavier lifting associated with this rotation I intend to drink more H2O and incorporated more static, prolonged stretching, particularly for my upper body.

Sorry to ramble on so, but I'm jazzed about IMAX3. I never thought I would find this challenging cardio workout so enjoyable so soon after my disappointing first attempt.

I love that we're all continuing to check-in...it's so encouraging. I feel accountable to all of you and so appreciate your kind words, well wishes when I was under the weather, and mutual support and encouragement! Have a terrific night everybody!

Hi everyone--

Good job, Kim--IMAX 3 is fun. You'll get there. I always think I'm going to die during the "plie jack" interval and am soooo glad that no one sees me when I am doing this, because I'm sure I look ridiculous:+

Today, I did MM and went up to 20 lbs on my chest flies, although I could only do 10 of the 12 reps on the second set--fatigued.
