Hardcore Rotation Checkin Monday June 6

Morning Everyone,

Happy Monday.........(I hate Mondays)....sorry to be negative, but I live for my weekends. This morning I started the June Rotation and did Gym Style Chest & Back and then since I don't run, I did Kickmax for 30 minutes with the blast challenge part right after the warmup. I find that's the only way my heartrate will stay elevated enough. I used my rebounder for the higher impact moves. I'm beginning to think my foot might have a hairline fracture. It's still pretty swollen and sore and won't ease up. It feels better for a while after I soak it and stay off of it, but I have to walk. Work will make it worse, as I have to walk back and forth from my building to the hospital all day long.

Have great workouts Everyone.

Nicole - I sure hope you like your rebounder. If you're used to doing the impact on the floor, I hope you don't think the rebounder makes it too easy. I'm just not able to do that impact on the floor with my back. Now I'm gonna be nervous that you won't like it. I do love mine though....even more now that my foot is messed up. I can do aerobics on it and it's not putting any pressure on my foot. Did you get the Urban Rebounder? If so, it should come with the instructional DVD and the basic workouts. They're okay......a bit boring but it's a good way to learn proper technique...althought it's really basic common sense....keep your core tight, push down into the mat.....etc.

Hi Everyone,
Yes I did get the urban rebounder! I found that got a lot of GOOD feed back at vF and then you said you were happy with yours:D (I ordered one!!) It's nice to know when you see something on TV that people actually like it! Don't worry I am sure I will like it!! I am so looking forward to doing some of Cathes high impact to this. I am even looking forward to using the stability bar with the kickmax drills.
Today I am going to do MM, and a short cardio :D

Take care, and hope everyone is having a GOOD day!!

Hello Everyone!

The 1/2 marathon is over. The weather was lousy, but that's okay because I finished! My time was 1:55:38. I was going for 2:00:00, so I'm very happy with my time.

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes!!

Today I will begin the June Rotation. This morning I ran 30 minutes and did the chest work (Gym Style) - Those push-ups are a killer, but I did it!! This afternoon (during lunch), I will do the back work (I'll do it without the video I have a breakdown of the workout printed out) as I ran out of time this morning because I had to get ready for work. I'll probably throw in another 30 minutes of cardio as well.

That rebounder is something I'd like to look into...the high impact doesn't bother me now, but I'm sure it will catch up to me someday.

Lora, I hope your foot get's better...do you know what's wrong?

Good day to all and happy working out!!

Regarding my foot -- (sorry for those of you that already heard this).....I'm not sure what I did to it....moved it wrong during or aerobics or what. Yesterday, I almost kicked the leg of the chair in the kitchen (iron leg) and when the tip of my foot hit it lightly, it hurt bad. I'm wondering if I "stubbed" it last week and just don't remember. I'm always running into stuff at home and I usually just shake it off and think nothing of it. Anyway, the way the pain is so tender when you touch the tip of it and apply pressure.....the more I'm thinking I may have stubbed it.....or it can just be an aerobic injury due to my age.

Question: I'm planning ahead -- the 4th week of the rotation calls for Body Max on Wednesday. I have 3 Doctor's appointments the last 2 weeks of the month and I should be okay with getting my workouts in for 2 of them, but the one on Wednesday...the day we are supposed to do Body Max, I'm only going to be able to fit in about a 45-55 minute workout that day. I've never done Body Max, so I'm not sure what I should sub (I know Body Max is really long). Do you ladies think it would be good enough to sub Step, Jump & Pump premix that is 50 minutes long for that day? I really don't want to do this, but I don't think Body Max would be as effective if I shaved some of the aerobics and exercises off of it, right? Or I can sub High Step Challenge premix that is an hour (and set my alarm 15 minutes early). I'm sorry to be a pain in the butt....but what does everyone think? I figured it would be okay to sub this workout since we do MIS, Power Hour and Bootcamp this week also.

Sorry you had to repeat yourself on your foot injury...I just had to ask because I wanted to know what was going on. It does sound pretty painful. Is that why you are going to the doctor?

BM is a pretty long workout. I know I'm going to have to wake up earlier to get it all in when the time comes. I think that a HSC would be an excellent sub because you will still get your cardio (although not steady) in along with your weight training. At least you will have a feeling of accomplishment when you are done. When it's all said and done, it's better to do something rather than nothing at all.

Hi everyone,
Todays workout was I Max3, Core Max #2 & #3, May rotation Back incorporating the Bowflex , ending with the stretch from I Max3
This is my 4th week on this rotation.

Lora, you could probably do CTX power circuit lower & cardio section and finish off with the upper sections of Body Max which is around 25 min. That would be 58 minutes with the w/u of of power circuit. Then do the stretch of Body Max 4 min. If you add on the abs that would be another 8 minutes. Just a suggestion.

Have a great day
