Hardcore Rotation Checkin July 19 Tuesday

Morning Everyone,

Boy, I didn't sleep well last night. I don't know if it's my pain (neck/shoulder) flaring up keeping me from sleeping or hormones. I usually have difficulty sleeping, especially the week before my period, as well as increased pain from my disc problem. I got thru my 2 hour dental appointment last night!! Yay....but I have to go back soon.

This morning I did Kickmax in it's entirety. I only started doing the entire aerobic DVDs about 2-3 weeks ago, as my foot is finally on the home stretch of the healing phase, but when I do a 75 minute aerobics tape (even modifying on the rebounder), it still swells up and I have to ice it and it flares up a bit. It will eventually heal though, as there is no way I'm stopping aerobics to let it heal.

Nicole - thanks for the advice on the SS rotation. Not that I don't appreciate your advice (cuz I do - I'm hardheaded though), but I think I'm going to stick with this FL rotation for the rest of the month like I planned, as I looked it over and it has some stuff in it that I haven't done for a while. Also, I was really sore from Cardio & Weights the other day (new to me) so I think maybe I might see results from this. I also just started cutting a few more calores about 2-3 weeks ago (around the same time, I increased my aerobic time). I kind of want to see how the next couple weeks go. I'm definitely gonna start doing a couple weeks of SS and other non Cathe, as I know I should, but I have to really sort of mentally prepare for this, as I've been so enamored with Cathe since discovering her.....this is gonna take some mental work.

I also have a couple questions - when you put your own music on, how do you know what you're doing? or do you know it so well that you know what's coming up. I don't know if I'll be able to follow with other music. I guess I'll have to see. Also, what kind of cardio are you suggesting if it's non-Cathe? I have an ellipitical and bike, but I can't see doing 70 minutes on one of those without being extremely bored and I'm really trying to do longer cardio sessions. I can rebound, do Tae Bo (I guess), but I don't know if a whole lot of other stuff I have is intensive enough. When you do non-Cathe aerobics, who are some tough instructors.

I was also curious if anyone here has tried the latest Firm Series - Transfirmer and what you think of it.

Does anyone here take recovery weeks and do easier workouts than Cathe?
 
Hi Everyone!!

This morning I did IMAX 3. I'm doing the Aug 04 rotation and today it called for Interval MAX which I do not have, so that's why I did IMAX 3. I have a class to teach this evening so that should do me for the day. I don't think I'll be doing anything during lunch...but we'll see. Yesterday, I did Legs and Glutes but I was at work and so I tried to do the moves on my own. Since I didn't have ankle weights, I just did some extra sets of some of the other exercises. I did not get chance to get in a 20 minute run, but I can make that up later in the week.

Lora...since I do a variety of workouts on a given week, I don't take any intentional breaks from Cathe. I may do some of the easier workouts from time to time, but that's about it.

Sabrina...I heard your luggage is lost. I hope you get it back. I saw your Roadtrip pictures. You're so cute!! Welcome back!! Looks like it was lot of fun...

I was looking around on the forum yesterday and came across a rotation from A-Jock. It's called the "Faux-CTX" 4-week rotation. I think that will be my next rotation if I actually make it through this one...

I did get my luggage back this morning about 7:30. It was delivered to my front door. Thank you for the compliment. The one picture Jes took of my levitation hold has me with a nice look on my face though. It was a blast and I would love to go again!! There was so many wonderful people. Cathe was such a doll!! Laura(Maximus) and I had the privilege to eat breakfast with her on Sunday morning. It was great! There was also several of us that took over the mens locker room to get in a shower. hehehe!

I have no idea what workout I will get in today. I have to unpack my luggage and do some laundry. It looks like my DH has to leave for Indiana this afternoon. x(

Lora it was just a thought to use SS........... heck you can use your Firms, but I just thought to mention SS to you because so many people have posted about it!! Since you are on a Cathe kick right now why don't you just do her circuit workouts every other day and add her cardio imbetween?? I would think that would maybe shake things up a bit? I found for myself that I have better results when I follow a rotation and stick with it (may deviate from it 1 day) When I said cardio imbetween SS I mean cardio of your choice. Lora's got me thinking about SS :7 I pulled out TIU and did it last night and it felt GOOD!! I even did it without my own music LOL. So next week I think I am going to go with that for a few weeks? Although Marietta I am going to go check out Aqua's Faux one:D

Sabrina you GO GIRL!! I am impressed with you Lev. hold:7 Marietta is right you are SO CUTE:D I am happy to hear you had such a good time!! Breakfast with Cathe sounds GREAT!! Did she mention when she was coming out with her next advanced series??? I am still on the fence about ordering the new ones. I was going then I was not??? Still thinking about it???

Who else from our check in has ordered?? (I know you did Lora and I think Susan did?)

I just went through the pictures from the road trip! Looks like everyone had a lot of fun! Sabrina, I'm impressed with your picture doing the levitation hold. I’d love more details.

My trip to Las Vegas went well. I ate way too much every night at dinner. The weather was unbelievably hot. I'll take 85 and humid ANY day then 120. Lora, you mentioned you’re going in August…have fun! Those buffets can be dangerous.

I got in after 1 am, so no workout this morning. I had to be back in the office by 9 today. I'm tired now, so I might just unpack and do laundry tonight.

Dallas, I haven’t taken any classes, but a cardio bag class sounds fun!

Nicole, No, I haven’t ordered the new DVD’s yet. I asked about the version for “us” with Premixes. I’ll go check to see if anyone answered. I’ve been away since Friday. What type of workouts is SS? Low weight high rep? What is it about these that work so well, do you think? Maybe we could put in a suggestion to Cathe.

Diane Sue, I think people have different perspectives on what advanced workouts are. Your daughter in law may appreciate the Abs diet workout.

Came back to add: Lora, I don't take recovery weeks. I do however, take long weekends more frequently than I'd like.
 
Susan - Please let me know if you got an answer to your question. I am very curious about the premixes and I couldn't find your question.

Nicole & Susan--Thanks, I surprised myself with that levitation hold. I had not been able to do one until Cathe was sitting with me on the gym floor and I asked her if she would do one. She did and then showed and explained to me how to do it. Then boom, the first one I tried I did it. I gasped! I was so thrilled to be able to do it right after she helped me and even in front of her. The hold has to do with hand placement, bringing your knees in and using your abs. Not much with the arms. Hard for me to explain.

Cathe did mentioned she was getting kind of burned out but the road trip was helping to ignite a fire so maybe later this year she will work on it. Not sure though. I imagine there were several of us that asked her throughout the roadtrip.

I ordered the new DVD's. I thought I have the others so I am going to get these too. The only ones I do not have are the ones that you cannot order on the site and I am not even sure what the names of them are or how many there are. I would love to know so I can search for them.
 
Hi Ladies,

I did a 5.5 mile run today and PP.

I enjoyed the Cathe trip and met a lot of great people (one of them being Sabrina).

I want to do some sort of rotation, but can't decide what to focus on. It has been in the low 100s here in Utah and looks like it will be for awhile and it makes it harder to get out and run as much as I would like.

I have been trying to push myself. I am kind of feeling tired. Maybe it is the intense cardio coach workouts I have been doing. It allows me to pick what I do
Well Could be lack of sleep. My family stayed late on Sunday evening playing games on my daughters b-day. I then got up at 5:30. I had no idea what I wanted to do. Monday I posted but errored insayin Cardio coach 3 when it was 4.
Today I did Power Max w/u and cardio circuits, kick Max - the boot camp premix, then Lower and abs bowflex, and free weights. I did
Lower walking lunges, leg extensions,leg curls, plie squats, leg press, and 5 sets Bowflex calf raises at 20 reps then I did 5 sets 20 reps seated crunches on the Bowflex, oblique crunches, reverse crunches with a med ball, sicilian crunches with a weight like in the abs diet book.

Susan I am sure you are right on different perspectives. I think my daughter in law may like the abs diet. I gave her a set of dumbbells as well. She has some one pound ones so this may be a start. I hope someone gets more use out of it that I feel I would.
