Hardcore Rotation Checkin Friday Aug 12

Morning Ladies -

Yay it's Friday!! This morning I did HSC 53 minute premix and then added a couple more weight exercises on and then did the Blast Segment of Kickmax. Of course, I modified all of the impact on the rebounder due to my foot. I'm still waiting to hear back from the doctor's office. I think I might need to buy some new athletic shoes also. How often does everyone replace theirs?

Nicole - How did you do from the Slim Series rotation you did? I've been meaning to ask you.

Today I am going to do HSC and those leg drills. My day/night got SOOOOOOOO.... busy I ended up skipping my workout yesterday:eek:


Lora I only did a week of my Slim series, but I have to say I wish I could stick with it longer because they really do work thighs/hip/butt:D I WISH they had the FUN factor Cathe's do!! That why I can never stay away from Cathe for to long:7

Good Morning Everyone!

T or F 20% of Americans lead a healthy lifestyle (includes no smoking, eating healthy, exercising for at least 30 minutes a day.

This was playing at the doc office this AM during my cholesterol screening. It was on some health channel. Or maybe it was a tape that they play? Not sure.

My work out was kind of weak this AM. I don't have MIC. I only had time for Imax 2 warm up and then step only (all 10 combo's) and then a 20 minute run on the treadmill. I still have to do a CM segment. I ran out of time because I had to go for my test. Tomorrow I'll tack on a few more miles on my run. I plan on going to the gym for that.

So, Marietta how can I do LL at the gym. I don't have the DVD yet. Or I may come home and do L&G or GSL. Which one is more like LL? I PM'd you, too.

Nicole ~ I hear you on being a busy day/night. Today doesn't look much better for me!

Terri ~ I sent you an e-mail.

So, do you want the answer? False! Can you believe it? Only 3% of Americans lead a healthy lifestyle. Can that really be true?! That is pathetic if so.

Nicole - I agree with you on SS lacking the "fun series". I only did about 3-4 of them in the week & a half I took my NonCathe break and I was extremely bored doing them...even with my CD playing in the background. Maybe, she'll come out with something more fun in the future. P90 Masters looks fun though. I'll definitely be buying that and doing a rotation when it becomes available.
 
Lora the next time I get in the mood for SS rotation. I plan on doing SS/cathe cardio rotation!! Maybe than I can stick with it longer. I have a friend that just does Tear up dvd for the last 2 years or maybe longer?? She runs and does that dvd/and parts of that dvd. Her shoulders and arms look AMAZING ( very lean looking) You will have to let us know about the P90 Masters. Also turbo jam is coming out this week I think???

Oh BTW I ended up ordering the new Cathes!! I was sold after seeing the premixes and I really like anything on the ball plus I am looking into doing more stretching this year. 12 min. seems more doable for me timewise!!

Dallas I know there are some days when it seems all you do is RUN RUN RUN..... Last night we got home late. I got the kids to bed and I EVEN put on my Workout clothes and HR monitor, and then I looked at the clock and it was 10;45 and I thought "WHAT AM I DOING"?????? So I got ready for bed:D I am okay with missing out on a workout or 2:7

Ok I need a quick suggestion on what to sub for mic. I ordered it but it doesnt come until monday:( So should I do sjp/sb cardio only and blasts no weights or lowmax or imax2 or just do a run? I also could switch monday with today...HELP!

Dallas-I got your e-mail and will be sending you one in a few minutes. Yesterday I did MIS in the afternoon. I did the hsc and kixkmax blasts in the morning. I was a bit worn out after MIS.:)

Nicole-I am sorry to report I didn't organize anything yesterday.:(

Hey Guys!

I didn't work today and I slept late (at least late for me)!!

I just finished doing MIC - However, I made some modifications because I HATE Hi/Lo aerobics. So I did the Step and Intensity blast twice!! I was sweating like crazy!! It hit the spot.

Lora - What more can say? Good workout!! Vacation is coming up...right??

Nicole - Sorry about you missing your workout yesterday...sometimes that can't be helped. All you can do is pick back up where you left off. I was going to order the new DVDs but did not. I talked my sister into getting them with the caveat that if she didn't like them I would buy them back from her...I really think she will like them. I'll borrow hers and see what I think.

Dallas - I'm not suprised at all by the number of people that don't take care of themselves...so sad but true. I have done LL at a gym - let me look at the breakdown again and offer suggestions. When are you planning on doing this?

Terri - Have you rested yet?? As for a sub for MIC, SJP does come to mind, but also I think that LoMax would do the trick as well.

Diane Sue - counting down 3...2...1!!!

Terri - yes P90 Masters is a a level between regular Power 90 & Power 90 X and is set to be released in September. I viewed clips from Beachbody on a thread that I saw on this forum about it. They look really fun and energetic. I'm extremely excited now. I can't wait to order them. I'll probably order Turbo Jam also. I'm such a sucker for Beachbody and I think my body is really used to variety, since prior to finding Cathe, I mainly did a different workout almost every day (well at least for a couple of months at a time -- large collection).

Marietta - I don't think I'm going to be able to do the hi/lo segment from MIC coming up. I don't think I can modify that on the rebounder. I only stopped limping on my foot last week (when I got the callus) and now since I've been walking normal, my foot has been hurting more and swelling up more. I'm really getting nervous since my vacation is on the 27th and you do A LOT of walking in Vegas.
 
Ok I am back! I just finished my workout and I used lowmax(thanks Marietta). I was about to tahe den mother debby's advice and do mondays workout but I really wanted to do that workout on monday:) So anyway I did cardio and core and I am happy.

Lora-Let us know how you like Masters when you start it.
Marietta-No I haven't taken a rst day yet. I was thinking I will soon though! Even if it's a active rest day. I think my body is asking for one. When I did MIS yesterday after having done hsc and km blasts in the morning I was really wiped out. I usually do 2 sometimes 2-21/2 hours a day so I guess I need a rest. Hard for me to do but I will try!

I think all my kids are sleeping! My in-laws wore them out! I'm tired too...some zzzz's right now would be good.

Nicole ~ I would not have worked out at 10:45P either. Where does the time go?! I've decided to not get the new DVDs. I really hope I won't regret that. I was thinking of getting Core Secrets on the ball. I heard there was a great abs DVD and buns DVD. Did you tell me that? Maybe it was another thread.

Marietta ~ Isn't LL in the rotation for tomorrow? I'm going to do another 5 miles at the gym and then either do my own version of LL there or come home and do GSL or L&G. I also have PLB. Your pictures are great! You have been working out hard and it shows. What kind of classes do you teach? I wrote that in yesterday's check in, but don't know if you saw it.

Lora ~ that P90 Masters sounds like a good DVD. Yes, let us know how it is.

Terri ~ I had to sub today too. I almost did LM. I did bump my step up to 8" for my step portion today. Wow! 2" makes a difference! I sent an e-mail back to you.

Hey Dallas...First, thanks for the compliment! I'm sorry, I missed your comments yesterday.

LL is tomorrow...I've been running around and I'm about to leave now for a workout session. So your 5 miles at the gym and then do LL at home. You said you enjoyed the treadmill at the gym. Nothing wrong with doing LL at home. It will give you legs a little time to recover. Wonder if I'll stick with 3 tomorrow...probably not. I'll end up doing 5 like you.

I teach step classes mainly...but I like to step/weight, and kickboxing classes as well. I like teaching because it forces me to stay on top of myself. Can let them see me sweat :eek: !
