Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Wednesday Sept 7

Morning Everyone -
This morning I did Leaner Legs followed by parts of Push and Pull upper body work and then abs from Cardio & Weights.

I've been too busy to think about my rotation for this month. Yesterday was a bad day. My pain from my herniated disc was severe and I ended up throwing up my lunch and being sick for the afternoon. I don't know if it's a combo of my pain making me nauseous, the stomach flu, or sinus drainage. Oh well. I hope I feel better today, as I have lots to do and a hair appt after work.

Terri - Yes, I got the easier version of that workout, but haven't had time to look it over well. I'm sort of afraid to do another real hard rotation this month, as I'm afraid my body will get used to it and keep wanting more and more. LOL!

Have great workouts everyone. Hello to everyone & I hope everyone and their families get to feeling better soon. I guess this is the beginning of flu season for everyone (kinda early).

This morning I did:

LM warm-up
LM cycle 1
squats, 20 reps, 45 lbs.
plie squats, 20 reps, 45 lbs.
LM cycle 2
squats, 20 reps, 45 lbs.
plie squats, 20 reps, 45 lbs.
LM cycle 3
leg presses on my Leg Press Machine (24 reps, 140 lbs)
LM cycle 4
leg presses on my Leg Press Machine (24 reps, 140 lbs)
LM cycle 5
One set of static lunges, 45 lbs., 16 reps each leg
LM cycle 6
One set of static lunges, 40 lbs., 16 reps each leg
LM cycle 7 (Step portion only - ran out of time)

I will do some tricep work during lunch and probably some low-impact cardio of some sort.

Lora - I certainly hope you find the source of your nausea and begin to feel better today.

Marietta ~ That looks awesome. Is this the LM version that Pinky posted? I've been wanting to do that one. So, how did it go? When is your half marathon? All this running talk on this board is really getting me motivated to get out an run. Now if my children would just cooperate! ha ha!

Lora ~ Girl, you better take it easy! You still have your sinus infection? Hope you feel better real soon.

Today, I got up early and did PUB. Then had to wake up DD and get her to the bus stop. I'm going down now to do that treadmill work out you sent me Marietta. Thanks for that! Boy working out is the best medicine. I feel great right now. I think my cloud of doom is gone! ;-) I think I'm going to have to cancel my DS b-day party. Poor kid!!

Dallas-I hope your son feels better soon so you don't have to cancel his birthday party. Poor baby!

Walked my kids to school, that is it for my exercise so far. I have to take my DH's car to the dealership to be looked at in an hour. I hope it doesn't cost a fortune to get it fixed (I am not sure that it is under warranty any longer). x( I also hope I am not out there too long.

Lora I hope you feel better today.
Dallas-Glad to see you are back in the swing of things. Working out always seems to make me feel better mentally when I have been down. I hope your son gets better soon, How sad he will be if the party will be cancelled. Will you re-schedule it?
Marietta-I e-mailed you the rotation I am doing. Did you get it. I add running to the rotation on days where she has no cardio. I would love to see the treadmill workout that you sent dallas if I may:)

Today is a hour long power walk and step,jump and pump on the rotatio. I will probably jog/walk and also add in more weight work. Good hing I run my business from home or no way would I have time for all this. Living alone also allows me more time and feedom:)

Hi everyone,

This morning I did HSTA and Total Body Stretching (Basic Stretch).
The stretch is a little shorter than SM, which is good. I'm not crazy about stretching.

When I opened the new DVD case, I noticed the center of the disk is cracked. One of my CTX DVD's was like that too. I hope it continues to work ok.

Lora, back pain can cause nausea, I hope that's all that is was to make you feel sick. I hope you feel better today ~ maybe after your haircut.

Dallas, I'm glad to hear you're getting back to your usual schedule. My poor son didn't have his 5-year b-day. I wished I had done something at least at his daycare. My grandfather was dieing and it was a very difficult time so I never planned one. Maybe you can just postpone your sons.

Sabrina, good luck at the car dealership. Maybe you can get a short walk in while you wait for the car to be looked at.

Terri, I'd love to have your schedule. I can't stand going into an office. I have a loooong commute!

Nicole is going to see her sister today. I really hope she's getting better.

Hello Again...

Dallas - You are correct, that is the workout that Pinky posted...mine is slightly modified from hers, but she did post the initial workout. You have to do it...I'd been wanting to do it as well. Since my rotation called for a much easier version of LoMAX, I figured this was the day. It was great! I'm glad you liked the treadmill workout - it's pretty intense.

I hope you DS get's better soon so that the party won't have to be cancelled. When will you make that decision?

Sabrina - I hope your DH's car is under warranty, it's very expensive to fix cars anymore. So...what workout are you doing today??

Terri - Oh yeah! Got that rotation...Love it!! Will use in the near future. I sent you the treadmill workout...let me know what you think.

Susan - I'm not all that thrilled about stretching either. I only do enough to get by...nothing more, nothing less. I know that will have to change, but for now it's sufficient.

Afternoon ladies

I spent two hours at the dealership. If I would have known it was going to take that long I would have went for a walk. I was told 1/2 an hour. Grrr! I have to take the car back when the parts some in. The car is not under warranty so it will cost $249 to fix it. Not happy about that.

I think I will be going over to the track with my sons this evening. My oldest asked if we were going to go last night and I was too tired from getting my DH to the airport. He wants to work on his mile run for school. Maybe a bike ride after that. Have to keep the kids busy with something so they don't miss Dad so much.

Hi Everyone
Today I did Step Blast stopping at the stretch, then the second segment of step works up till the cooldown followed by the abs off cardio hits, then GS chest & triceps no warm up. I would like to get in more ab work. I had to quit to go get my shower and pick up my granddaughter.

Lora, I hope you get to feeling better. Sorry to hear you are feeling badly

Terri & Marrietta the long cardios help me when I am feeling stressed. Today is better, dh called from Iraq this morning so now I know he made it there safely.

Dallas, sorry to hear your son is sick & may miss his birthday. We often reschedule birthdays in our family just so everyone can be there. Maybe that would be a possibility. In answer to your question regarding dh, he is not military. He helped them with their networking etc.. Now is doing something else. All government related.

Terri we don't know how long my son in law will be gone to New Orleans

Hi Susan!

Yes I saw that post. What a tear jerker! I have one son to go and that is not for two years yet. It is hard for each and everyone of them to go. It does get easier as the days go by. Especially when you see how much they love it and the excitement they show when they learn something new.

Made it to the middle school to help my oldest son with him mile that he has to run. He made it in 12:06 (it that right?). Monday night he had it in 11:36, so he was a little disappointed. I told him there would be days like that. I had the same pace since I stuck with him the whole time. I guess I will get better too! LOL! ;-) I am not sure what is considered good, bad, or even great.

Susan ~ Thanks for the link. That got sent home with my DS from his kindergarten teacher. I cried again re-reading it though. ;( Good luck to your son!

Thanks for all the well wishes for my DS. I haven't cancelled the party yet. Tomorrow morning if his temp is not broken I'll have to reschedule it. We're having it at this place called Pump It Up. He's so excited about it. I thought it was just a local thing, but I checked the web site for the phone number and they are all over. He does seem a little better this evening. Cross your fingers, OK?

Diane Sue ~ You must be on pins and needles all the time knowing your DH is over there. I know I was when my brother was there. Every time the news came on with another Marine casualty I would be so uptight until the would finally release the name.

Marietta ~ That was some treadmill run. I can't believe how fast 5.5 miles went by! I can't wait to do that again. I want to find more work outs like that for the treadmill.

Terri ~ Did you get the treadmill work out? I can send it, if not.

Sabrina ~ That is so sweet - running with your son. What bonding time! Do your other boys run around the track too? What I really want to know is how you do homework with 2 kids? Tonight I sat with both of them. I thought I can do this, by the time we finished I had a headache. It was just hard to get them each to concentrate. My DD would say something silly and then my DS would start laughing or vice versa. I'm all for fun and laughing, but I just wanted to get it done!! I guess I'll have to take turns with each of them. My DS just had some coloring, so I thought it would be doable.

Well, have lots of laundry to catch up with!
