Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Wednesday October 26

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Slow & Heavy Chest & Back. My rotation also called for a run, so I did 10 minute Solutions Carb Burner (3 sections = 30 minutes)modifying on the rebounder. This workout is perfect to do on the rebounder and during the warm up and cool downs of each 10 minute segments, I jogged with high knees on the rebounder. I then did abs/core from High Step Challenge & the stretch from High Step Challenge.

I can't wait until we get the treadmill we're supposed to be getting from my father-in-law's estate. I'm going to be able to work up to jogging (indoors). Hopefully my foot will be healed enough to start this when we get the treadmill.

I'm going to try & fit a 2nd workout in later today. I'll probably do a non-Cathe workout.

Sabrina - Did you go to a Cathe get together in Chicago? I must have missed that post. Did you get out of your funky mood?

Susan - Are you feeling a little better today?

Diana Sue - I remember you telling me once (a while ago) that you usually do a week (or 2) of circuit type training after you finish a Slow & Heavy rotation (or similar type of rotation), but I can't remember if you said you do it for 1 week or 2 weeks. I just wanted you to clarify this, as I'm planning on finishing up this October rotation, then taking a recovery week and then I was going to do a week (or two) of circuit type of workouts, i.e., The Gauntlet, High Step Challenge, etc.

On a totally off topic note- I'm wearing my "Sugar Skull" (Halloween Limited Edition blend) perfume oil today and I must say, I love it. It is "vibrant with the joy and sweetness of life in death! A blend of five sugars, lightly dusted with candied fruits". I must say it's really delectable. I also have another sweet one called Trick or Treat which is a fun candy corn blend!

Woo Hoo!!! The Sox won last night! :7 :7 :7 :7 Unfortunately, I did not get my workout done because the game was the longest in World Series history! :-( So, if I don't collapse I'll do the scheduled workout on the rotation or something that motivates me.

Lora ~ You'll love having a treadmill in your house. I'd be lost without it.

Diane Sue ~ Thanks for the recipe! I can't wait to try it.

Hi Dallas and lora

Today is S&h back and chest which I am moving from tomorrow until today. Then I am suppose to do KPC but if I do I will do the premix that includes legs and gluetes. Or I may run depends on my mood when it is time for cardio :)

Lora-You have so many non cathe workouts too, I wish I were brave enough to risk getting some and not wind up liking them. I still think I will try Jillians though. If they are too easy I will do them back to back. What do you think?

Morning ladies!!

Lora-yes I went to the GTG in Chicago. It was a blast. There is a picture of me doing the levitation hold in the middle of the resturant (The Cheesecake Factory). Not a very flattering picture since I have my eyes closed though.

Dallas-Glad the Sox won!!

Terri-Do KPC do KPC!! I love KPC!! lol I bought the Jillian workouts but mine are STILL on backorder. I am not a happy camper about it. I have looked in the stores for them too and have not found them. I hope you can find them if you decide to get them.

Not sure what workout I am doing today. I am a little nerved up since I have decided to take a Real Estate class and it starts next week. I am scared to death. It has been a long time since I have been in school. I had to mail my registration form and check by today.

This am. I did GS legs standing section (about 40 min with stretch) I will do the floor part of this dvd this afternoon. I hit the snooze to many times :D Then I run out of time have to take a quick showere and taking my kids to school!!


Dallas it is very exciting about the white sox!! I really hope they win!!

Lora I read yet again another Slim Series thread yesterday!! I tell ya after reading this I have do a SS rotation!! I think I am going to give it a whirl when I get done with my one body part rotation!! Btw here is the thread...

Terri if you want to venture out and do other instructor's VideoFitness is the place to go!! That is how I found out about Cathe 10 years ago :D I do mainly Cathe, but it is a nice change of pace to do others, and it makes you appriate Cathe so much more!!:D

Hi guys,

I'm not any better.:( I went to bed extra early last night, but that didn't help.

This morning I did GS Shoulders and Back (subbed Barbell Pullovers,
modified back extensions and Prone Back Side Rotations for Good Mornings w/ 15 bb). For cardio I attempted KPC. Every time I 'pop pop and ducked' I thought my head was going to 'pop' off! SO, I stopped early.:( I'm so unbelievably tired. So, so tired. No man could ever have this stamina. I'm here at my office on time. The poor guy I work with had a "tough" trip last night and got in at 9:30 at night and was too tired to get to the office before 9:30. a-hole! sorry, I'm sooo mad, cranky, cold and oh yes, tired.

Sabrina, you'll do fine at your class. I know someone who took the class. I saw some of the books/documents she had to learn, and it seems pretty straightforward.

Dallas, how 'bout those Sox??? I watched the game the other night they won.

Lora, you'll like having a treadmill. I don't use mine that often, but it is a lot easier on the knees, plus with winter coming it'll be nice to have.

I just wanted to comment on the Jillian Michaels DVD's. I still don't have my Maximize Complete ones (backorder), but Collage has them listed as more Intermediate/Advanced and the others are listed as Intermediate. I don't even know if I'm going to end up getting them because the place I have them on backorder says they can't guarantee they'll ever get them in. They are a lot more expensive at Collage though and since I'm unemployed, I better not pay more for them.

Terry - I think you might like Jillians if you do 3 of them back to back since you like long workouts.

Well my mood was just shot to heck! I just called Unemployment to register (they are just so friendly there, NOT). It is only good for 6 months and they no longer give you the 3 month extension. I really hope I find a job sooner than that, but this is a tough time of year for hiring and the area I live in is not exactly "booming" in the job market.

Also, a note to anyone with arthritic feet (like me) --- I've been using my "Footsie Roller" from the Body Shop. I had it buried in my closet and broke it out recently and it really does a good job at working the stiffness out of your feet.

I'm super depressed now.......I'm going to have to find a happy DVD...maybe I'll do Turbo Jam, as Chalene is usually pretty happy and the music is fun.
 
I just finished my 2nd workout. I did Yoga Booty Ballet Body Sculpting Bollywood Style. I repeated each segment twce.
 
Ok Back to say I did Slow and heavy back and chest. Then per Nicole :) I did KPC/LG premix. Eighty Three minutes for that pe-mix! It felt good!!

Susan-Sorry to hear you are still sick:( I hope you feel bette soon.
Lora-I copied Nicole again and am renting one of Jilians workouts from netflix. It is the fromt one. I will let ya know what I think of it.

I'm back really quick before my dd's bus gets here.

Today I did GS-biceps (The rotation said to do MM-biceps, but I remember that one not being long enough.). I then did HSC fast forwarding through the leg resistance cycles. That was good that A-Jock said to do that because let me tell you my legs and butt are really feeling yesterday's workout! }( Major DOMS going on here. ha ha! I also skipped the back exercises because tomorrow calls for back. I pooped out on CM#3, so I'll add that on to tomorrow's workout. I sure hope the Sox can wrap this up tonight in 9 innings! LOL! I can't stay up again tonight. Last night's game finally finished after 1A!

Susan ~ I'm sorry you're feeling so badly. What is Netflix? I'll have to google it. Is it renting on-line? That's a good idea to try out the workouts before buying them.

Terri ~ Once again, you got a great workout in today. You two Lora, doubling up! You go girl! :7

Looks like everyone has some great workouts going on today!! Way to go!! Not sure about mine since I have a parent/teacher conference again tonight (I had one yesterday too). This one will take longer since it is for my middle school boy and he has a different teacher for every subject.

I had an interesting afternoon. DH had a Futrex Body Composition done at work today and they told him I could come. He called me and I drove over there and had it done too. It told me I have 13.4% Body fat, my fat weight is 14.3, my lean weight is 92.2, my body mass index is 18.2. It was really cool! Here is a link to what they used.

Thank you ladies for all your well wishes on my new venture. I will keep you posted on how it goes. I start on Nov 3. The class is from 6:00-9:30pm on Mon and Thurs. There is also two Saturday's I have to go from 9:00 to 12:30.

Wow Sabrina! You're in great shape by the numbers! Also I seen the pic of you doing the levitation hold so I know you are in awesome shape! I hope you enjoy the Real Estate class and it all works out for you.
