Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Wednesday Nov 2

Morning Everyone -

This morning I did P90 Masters Core Cardio and YBB Cardio Cabaret. It made for another fun workout, although I think I jumped on my foot a bit too much. I hate modifying these on the rebounder.

I couldn't sleep last night ...only got 4 hours, but at least I don't have to go anywhere today. I've been getting too much sleep lately and knew this would happen and it's PMS week, so I'll probably have difficulty sleeping all week. My sinuses/asthma/allergies are extremely flared up right now. My nose has been bleeding and I'm all congested and my throat is sore. I think dusting the other day exacerbated it (allergic to dust) and the fall weather is bad on my asthma, as I'm allergic to mold also.

Well, I was up late last night creating an E-bay account. My computer is on a phone line and it is really SLOW and this is exactly why I haven't taken the time to open an E-bay account.....cuz it takes forever for my computer to do anything. Ugh!!

Well *WE* were up quite a bit last night to. I HATE those high fevers. I will call the Dr. today to give me a idea HOW LONG this virus will last??

Lora did you get a chance to see I posted our rotation yesterday Also have you turned on your furnace??? If so do you have a humidifyer?? My son used to get blood nose's until I bought a humidifyer and that made all the difference!!!

Well I gotta go quick my kids to school!! I will be back SOON:)
 
Hey I too woke up early...:( I also have a runny nose and a sore throat. Is it poosable to catch things through cyber space :) ? I hope we all feel better soon. Today is a 60 minute run,GS B,S,B, MM B,S,S + abs.

Marietta-I think Jillians work outs are not as intense as cathes nor do they have the fun factor. It is a bootcamp style workout doing mountain climbers abd squat thrusts then she has you do some light weights work while doing standing mountain climbers followes by inner thigh work and core work and chest. Then you do it over again with squats no weights and push ups are also in the dvd. IMO not well structured, not intense and not fun. Also the workout is 30 minutes so I aded it to imax2 yesterday. I got this from netflix and I am happy to be sending it back :)

Diane Sue-Thanks for your thoughts on my dad. I agree he did the right thing to leave. Why should he be bullied by my brother! I don't see that things will work out by the holidays. The independant living center my dad moved to has a year lease. I would hope though that he and my mom can at least get on speaking terms after 50 plus years of marriage it would be a shame not to ever speak again because she chose my brother. FYI him and his kids can do know wrong in her eyes.

Ok I am off to get some things done. I will check backlater.

Nicole - Yes, I saw the post. What day are you scheduled to start? I will try and do it with you but I'm not going to make any promises, as I don't know if I'll be able to continue. I get bored quickly and need variety. I'll give it a try though. Do you think adding a 2nd short aerobic session in the PM would be too much?
 
Good Morning to my Hardcore Friends!!

This morning I did intervals on my treadmill for about 35 minutes and then I did PS Back. Didn't have time to do biceps...I'll do them later. I will probably do a easy run at lunch today and also try to do some biceps.

Lora - Hope you feel better soon. You're a tough little cookie...hang in there!

Nicole - Sorry you guys had a long night...Sure hope you guys start to feel better.

Terri - Hey! Hope I don't get the cyber germs! Thanks for the Jillian info. I'm definitely gonna pass on her...

Good Morning,

This morning was PS Back and Biceps, then MIS Back, then LowMax 1-5, then Total Body Stretching stability ball #2. I feel some doms in my lats already.:D

I have Jillian's workout at home. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. I'll try to tonight.

Lora, I'm sorry to hear they cancelled the interview. But, that just means something BETTER is going to come along. At least you have good qualifications. In my job now, it's so esoteric that I'd never find one like it again (at least where I live).
My goals for this month are, to *try* to keep as much strength as I can. In Sept. I did a lot circuit and total body workouts and felt I lost too much strength. Since I'm not lifting at my full capacity, I'll keep maintaining what I can. Plus I've added a bit of cardio in each workout, otherwise I'd probably never to it.
What's strange is, my body can handle jumps/jacks/plyos etc. but I can not jog at all. I found that out when I was barely two months pregnant. Hmmm.

Marietta, I LOVE burritos! I have for my lunch today. I usually have the ones from Amy's Gourmet Kitchen. They're pretty good. I wish they would take out some of the potatoes and corn... too much starch!
So you like my rotation? It goes to show you how often I do LM...NOT.. I didn't know there are only 7 intervals, so I'll make sure tomorrow I do 3 through 7.

Sabrina, does your class start tomorrow? I hope you feel better by then.

Dallas, Sorry your son is sick. It's great that you are able to stay with him and take care of him.

Nicole, what's this??? No Cathe this month? Isn't the Slim Series total body with tons of reps? Do you and VF (?) people really like the results of doing so many reps. I think I'd rather squat 200 pounds 6 times than 20 pounds 100 times. Maybe I should try them.

Diane Sue, I need you at my house telling me NOT to eat all the Halloween candy. hahaha

Good Morning Everyone!

I have a few more days of the rotation I'm following. This last week I've really been changing a lot, so i don't know if you'd say I'm truly following it. It does give me a baseline, however with the weights and which body part to work.

Today, I totally changed the called workout. I did 10-10-10 (for 20 minutes) as a warm up, then PLB floorwork only, and then I did Bryan Kest's Power Yoga - Energize. His workout is a 55 minute practice, but it's just what I needed. Somehow my hamstring has been acting up. It's been off and on for awhile now. I'm thinking it was from the cardio bag class I took. Maybe the whole barefoot thing isn't such a good idea.

Lora ~ Let us know what your username is on ebay. I've purchased a few things there.

Marietta ~ How did your class go last night. Was your class begging for mercy?!}(

Nicole ~ I hate those high fevers too. That happens all to often here. I hope it breaks really soon.

Susan ~ No, my ds is not sick. He is just freaked out from Halloween, I think. He's been waking up very scared. One of the houses we went to was all done up with mechanical stuff jumping out, etc.. I wished we had skipped that house now.:( My older two really wanted to go. This too shall pass. I've had a workout buddy every morning. He wanted to know where Cathe was when I was doing yoga! LOL!

Diane Sue ~ It's good to hear that there are grandparents that discipline. I just got off the phone with my SIL and we were talking/venting about it again.:(

Lora that is WHY I have never done a SS rotation haha. But this time I am going to regardless.}( I just keep hearing and hearing how wonderful these have been for people, and I think I have these dvds, and have never really given them a chance. SO now I am going to :D Btw I plan on starting mon.

Susan I have started this month on doing nothing:( Really I am kinda of looking forward to doing something different. I KNOW this will really SHAKE MY BODY:7 ha ha. I have to start getting my music ready. I only plan to do 2 weeks and then I know I will be dying for Cathe.

Terri sorry about giving you this darn runny nose. Quick go wash your hands before you next post, and I am sure that will keep you from the fever haha ;)

Marietta how are you liking your PS dvd??? Looks like you have been using it quite a bit. I have to say the legs is one of Cathe best!!

Dallas I called the Dr. and they want me be bring her in. I think she be out of school the rest of the week:( Now I am praying the others do not get it!!!

Hi Everyone -

I just finished my second workout. I did 30 minutes of Intervals on the Elliptical followed by HSC stretch.

It took me all morning to list about 10 things on E-bay. I had to read a magazine while I was doing it cuz the wait was driving me crazy. I don't have patience. I didn't put up any of the Videos yet. I only posted some CD's and Perfume Oil Blends, oh and 1 DVD....Core Secrets ...Head to Toe in 30 Minutes. My user name is lorajc946 (not very difficult to figure out who it is, huh?)


ETA: I think my HRM may be broken. I replaced the battery and everything is functioning, but it won't take my heart rate. I'm so mad cuz I'm so dependent on it and now jobless.......so buying another isn't an option right now.

Lora-you have been busy!! You have in two workouts and I don't even have one. lol I was going to run on the treadmill last night but my one ear is bothering me so I didn't figure it would be a good idea.

Nicole-I am not getting much sleep either. I keep waking up coughing. I hope the doctors appointment goes well and that that fever breaks soon. I hate it when the boys are sick.

Terri-I hope you feel better soon. I am starting to wonder about catching this through cyber space too. lol

Susan-What Jillain workout did you get? I got the cardio kickbox one in the mail yesterday. My real estate class does start tomorrow night. I have everything ready. I have the textbook too and I almost fainted. It is just over 600 pages. Yikes!!

Dallas-I hope you son gets over being freaked out soon. Good luck with your Christmas shopping. I have a really good start on mine. There are things I need for the boys but they have not been released yet so i have to wait.

Todays workout was HSTA w/u cardio&lower premix, Circuit Max, doing the circuits with a barbell for lower body, Pyramid lower calves 2X and floorwork, Pyramid abs/core, HSCh abs, Core Max#1 st.
I just recieved the new 30 minute South Beach Cookbook. Maybe it will help me get my diet back on track. It seems like I have had company a lot and eaten out a lot which is harder to control what I eat. Especially if I dont know the nutrition facts.

I hope all of you and your families that are sick get to feeling better.

Lora have you tried an ionic breeze to help with dust and allergens? I have heard from people with allergies, that it is helpful. I sent DH one to help with his stay in Iraq. They have huge sandstorms. And dust from blasts and bombings.

Susan, if I rely on circuits for much more than two weeks I lose strength. It doesn't take long to get back where I was though. If I have a rotation for a month that includes them I make sure there is other weight work added in. I rarely do a total body workout day though. Circuits really help lean out.

I guess my sore throat must have been a allergy thing this am as I feel fine now! YIPPEEE!

Dallas, Oh, I miss-read what you said about your son. I thought he was sick. I'm glad he's not. I'm glad the holiday is over. I wish the candy was gone though. Well, in a way. I admit I kinda like it. :9

Sabrina, The Jillian dvd I have is the one with FRONT in the title. I don't remember the actual name.

Diane Sue, I felt after doing circuits for all of September, I just wasn't as strong as I should be. That's why I'm focusing more on two body parts a day with some cardio. One circuit and/or one total body per week.
I'm really not setting goals for myself. I'm so happy I can keep on going, even as this belly grows.:7

Hey Guys!! I finally made it back...work got really busy so I didn't get a chance to check in earlier.

I went for a run at lunch today. It was supposed to be easy, but it actually wasn't. We ended up running about 5.5 miles. But the weather felt good and it was awesome. It was a steady except for a few steep but short hills. I have run about 9 miles total today...I didn't get my bicep work in. I may do it tonight or I'll have to add it in on in the morning.

Dallas - Girl, I had an excellent class last night...I was pumped as you can tell from my post. I love feeling like that before I go to class.

Susan - Silly Momma....it's all good on the Low Max Mix Up (say that 10 times). I probably would have picked up on it if I'd done the workout. I do like your rotation...maybe I'll do Kickmax in the morning...we'll see. I also am thinking about RS for some reason.

Sabrina - Wishing you the best with you class tomorrow. Can't wait to hear how it goes!!

Nicole - YES!! I love PS...the workouts are short and to the point and I love it!! Hope your baby gets better...

Terri - Glad you are feeling better and don't have anything that will hold you back...you get kinda cranky when that happens (smile).

Diane Sue - You are the workout queen, you amaze me with the workouts you do...go on with your bad self!!
