Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Tuesday Sept 6

Hi Everyone,

This morning the schedule called for StepWorks (which I don't own), so I did Step Fit in place of it. I haven't been using the rebounder for the last few days and my foot is telling me about it, so I guess I better continue to modify until I get my foot x-rayed again next month.

Terry - I will take the easier version of Charlotte's rotation if you have it. I don't have that much time to workout. Is the easy version too easy though? Cuz, if it is....I better take the hard version and modify it a bit.

Have great workouts everyone. I doubt if I'll be able to check in from work today, as my boss will probably be there and I'm not allowed to be on the internet when she's there! Work really does suck. I can't wait until I'm retired........only 20 more years!! Ugh!

Hi ladies!

I am dead tired! I had to get up at 3am to take my DH to the airport. I want to crawl back into bed. LOL! We didn't go to bed until 10 last night and then I couldn't sleep.

Not sure about todays workout. Might nap instead! hehe Yesterday we ended up tagging things and getting them ready for my MIL yard sale she plans on having Saturday if it is not raining. We have a nice size pile ready to take over in the garage. Had a cookout at 1:00 too so our day was pretty much gone. Helped DH pack his bag after dinner last night and then we went out for ice cream. :) DH wanted some before he left.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I will check in later. :)

Lora, my dog is our "baby". He was first. My parents are watching my son this week, so he is loving his own attention. He is very affectionate, and is in his glory having the cuddy in the boat to himself, the whole back seat of the car, etc.
I too find it difficult to watch the news about the damage the hurricane left. I just can't image loosing everything. I mean, how can you even claim your identity? What happens to the banks that are holding any stock certificates ??? I just can't image it at all. I haven't seen many pets either on any news clip.

Nicole, have a safe trip tomorrow to see your sister. $5,000 for a treadmill?!? You have *got* to use it! ;)

Sabrina, my DH travels quite a bit for his job. A couple years ago he would leave on a Sunday afternoon and come home Friday night; week after week after week. The only time it was difficult was during a couple of winter storms, other than that, I'm fine w/o him around. It seems lonely at first, but you get used to it. I do most everything around the house anyway (except pack his suitcase).

Dallas, your son is exactly two months older than mine. Sorry, to hear he is not feeling well.

Hi Terri, Marietta and Diane Sue.

I'll check in later.

Susan

Good Morning Ladies!

Sabrina ~ I hear you on being dead tired! I think I've gotten into a routine of waking up at 1A automatically! I then don't go back to sleep into 4-4:30A. My ds threw a curve ball at us last night. He got sick. I won't elaborate! :-( Thankfully, my dd and I didn't have that happen when we were sick. Back to the dr with him today.

I did manage to do LM and CM - tough core yesterday. Today isn't looking so good for a work out. I may have to take a nap, too! This is definitely catching up with me.

Lora ~ Are you doing Charlotte's rotation? I haven't decide which rotation I'm following. I won't start anything until next week anyway. Work outs this week will be sporadic, I'm sure.:-(

Hi to all who follow!

ETA: Susan, we posted at the same time! That rotation looks good. Nicole, have a safe trip. Are you coming to Chicago?

Dallas

Hi again!

Got the boys walked to school. Trying to decide what to tackle now. Might end up being my pillow! LOL!

Susan-DH has been to Arizona a few times for work now. I still hate it though. We get along great and would rather be together all the time. I don't normally take him to the airport since he does leave so early but I have to take his car to be looked at in the morning to see why the engine light stays on all the time. I thought it would be better to do it now since he wont be needing it.

Nicole-have fun on your trip! I would check out that treadmill too. I bet it has lots of bells and whistles on it! hehe

Dallas-Sorry your son is sick! I hope he gets better soon. I think I am going to do the September rotation. I hope the kids will cooperate since DH will be gone.

Hi Lora, Terri, Diane Sue, and Beverly (where are you??)!! :)

See you ladies later!

Susan - What are Gorsha Lunges?

My boss isn't coming in until 1:30 so I snuck on here for a minute to checkin. My afternoon will be ruined though. My boss is a meany!

Hello Ladies,

Today I will be doing imax2 and 200 jumping jacks and 50 pushups. Later I will do a upperbody workout.

Lora-I will e-mail you the rotation ok?
Sabrina-Try to stay busy while DH is away so you don't miss him to much.
Susan-That rotation looks good. I however am a cardio junkie and have to do cardio everyday as well as weights.
Dallas-WOW you have really had a rough couple of weeks. I give you credit for hanging in there and being seemingly upbeat. I think by now I would be reduced to depression and tears!
Nicole-I hope your sister is doing better. Have a safe trip and check in when you can.

Hello to Marietta and to Diane Sue and WHAT did happen to Beverly?

Terri

Hi Friends!!

I think my life is back to normal...or at least pretty close to it. I have started the A-Jock HC-"Faux CTX" 4-week rotation. I'm now on day 2.

So today I did the Kick Max challenge and I did Muscle Max chest work (but I added a little extra). I'll do a short run at lunch.

Sabrina - girl, I thought I was a busy body, but you take the cake. Hope you get some rest.

Dallas - Hope you get some rest today, I hate when I wake up and can't get back to sleep!!

Lora - I can't believe there is a workout that you don't own...how did that happen??!!

Susan - Your rotation looks really good. Think I'll have to print that off for future reference. You know I have seen lots of animals on TV lately in the flooded states. But mostly they are stranded on porches. They have rescued a few people and let them take their dogs, but I'm sure that is the exception rather than the rule.

Nicole - Have a safe trip and I'll be thinking about you and your sister.

Terri - Hey you!! What you up to? What rotation are you on now??

I'll check back in later...

Marietta - I don't hardly have any of the workouts that are older than the Pure Strength series. They aren't even on my "wish list" as I don't really care for the music in them. I really prefer the newer series....but I had to buy some of the older ones for rotation purposes.

You ladies are making me second guess my choice for rotation this month. I still need to lose a few pounds (even after that hard rotation last month). If I ever get time to look, I'll have to review the A-Jock one. Now I don't know what to do. I'm such an indecisive Libra.

Hi again,

Lora, gorsha lunges are like a split lunge, however your back leg is elevated high ~ like the height of a weight bench. I use this exercise in place of walking lunges.

Sabrina, I hope you didn't take what I said the wrong way. I just meant if your husband had to travel a lot, it does get easier. I wish my DH didn't go as often as he does.

Marietta, I'm glad to hear you've seen people taking their pets!

Hi everyone,
I started yesterday morning seeing my husband off to Iraq. Then I started LowMax. My daughter called about 28 minutes into it. My heart wasn't really in it anyway. We went shopping and got lunch at Olive Garden. She was alone as well. Her dh left to help in New Orleans.
Anyway today I started out with a good workout an a new schedule with my grandchildren and school. I did I Max 3 stopping at the stretch and I Max 2 intervals 1-5. Then Muscle Max Lower no w/u and 3 sets each leg curls, leg extensions, leg presses and calf raises on the Bowflex, then MM stretch.
I don't have a rotation in mind yet. I can sympathize with having problems sleeping. It is rare for me to sleep a whole night through. Last night I slept 45 minutes and then did the clock watching thing and dozed periodically. I had stayed up with dh packing till 2 am the night before so thought I would surely sleep.
I am about ready to go pick up my second kindergarten grandchild. The other one I picked up at 10:50 this morning.
Have a great day.

Diane Sue,

It is so nice to hear from you. I know you must be very sad about DH going back to iraq. You certainly did a great workout today so I hoped that helped get out your frustrations. How long will you SIL be in New Orleans? I am glad you and your daughter got outtogether yesterday and hope you enjoyed yourselves.

Terri

Susan-What you said is fine. My DH use to have to travel a lot for another job and we all hated it. It has not happened a lot so far with this job but it has picked up. He will be gone all this week and then be home next week and then it is looking like he will be gone again for another week. I HATE that! :-(

Hey guys...I'm back again.

I went for a run at lunch today. I went about 3.5 miles. It was pretty hot so it was kinda tough...but I made it.

Diane Sue - Great to hear from you again. I know it was hard for you to have to send your DH off to Iraq again.

How in the world could you possibly add on to an IMAX3 workout? I thought I was doing something just for making it through that workout by itself...guess I need to get to where you are!! You are the woman!!

Lora - I just didn't care for the September rotation. Not enough weight work for me personally. Plus, I don't like rotations where I don't have a lot of the workouts and there are a bunch on this one I don't have. I'm with you in that I think I have all the older workouts that I'm going to unless I inherit some or something.

Enjoy the rest of your day ladies!!

Another Rotation Question peeps. I never did a non-Cathe rotation. I guess I feel like she's the expert and that's why I do hers. Has anyone ever done a non-Cathe rotation (i.e., from a forum member) and gotten good results. Geez.........now I guess I've gotta go home and figure out what I'm going to do for September. I also thought the Sept rotation was light on weight work, but I was planning on doing a circuit workout (like Gauntlet or Viper) on my rest days to make up for that.

Hi Marietta!! I forgot to say "Hi" to you this morning, I am so sorry! I am not sure if I have been with it for most of the day. hehe ;-) I have been busy lately. I am not usually that is what is so strange. I imagine it will slow down here real soon. I am kind of enjoying being busy though. :D

I am glad you made it through your run. It has been hot here too. Not bad in the mornings but hot in the afternoons. I wish I could run. I cannot even run a mile without having to walk several times. LOL! What is a good time for a mile? Maybe I should work on my mile since DH and I are helping our son with his.

I will check in with you ladies again later!

Have a great evening!

hello again Ladies,

Marietta, I am doing a rotaation that another lady on the forums( Charlotte) made for me. She had made another one with a check in but I didn't feel it gave me enough so she did one for me. I could e-mail it to you if you want to see it. I HAVE to do weights and cardio everyday to feel good about my workouts. I usually split it up doing one in the am and the other one in the pm. She also put rest days in there as I am trying to be better about taking the rest days.

Lora-I did e-mail you the easier (not easy) version. Did you get it?

Sabrina-Being busy can feel good at times can't it!

Enjoy your evening

Terri

Good evening....

Hey Sabrina - Don't worry about it. I know it's not intentional. That goes for everyone. I know sometimes we just forget to say hi and I know I do it myself from time to time...it just happens sometimes.

You know I think a good goal for running a mile for beginners is about a 12-minute mile pace. Once you make it to that, then your can re-set your goal. Start off by walking and then running...eventually, you will begin to run more than you walk. Let me know if you need more info. I'd be more than happy to help...

Terri - I would love to see the rotation you are doing...please email it to me. I'm like you, I've got to have plenty of strength and cardio. Thanks!

Good night!!

Hi again!

Diane Sue ~ Whoa! I'd say you got a work out in. You added onto Imax 3!! I just managed to finish that one for the first time recently! Is your dh in the services or is he helping rebuild? It just seems like such a mess over there.

Terri ~ Thanks for the compliment. I don't feel very positive at this point. I want to get into a new "school" routine, but haven't yet because of all these illnesses. I'm sleeping so horribly because I'm so worried about the kids and their fevers at night. I swear I must be the lightest sleeper. I was never that way until I had kids.

Sabrina ~ Did you take that nap today? By the time I got everything done around here it was 2P and my dd bus was coming, had to make dinner, etc. so here I am and still tired! :-(

Marietta ~ You got a great work out in. Let me know what you think of that rotation. I know we were going to do that one before.

My little guy drank out of my other son's glass today! Oh no!! The dr. put my son on antibiotics. He gave him 3 days worth in hopes that he'll be well for his b-day party Friday. I have 25 kids coming! What was I thinking?!

OK, got to go read some books now.
