Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Tuesday Aug 9

Hi Everyone,

This morning I was supposed to do a 5 mile run, but since I don't run, I did aerobic sections from the Gauntlet for 60 minutes and then I did PUB Abs and stretch. That was a good workout. I modified a lot of the jumping on the rebounder since my back was hurting from too much impact and also since I found out I have a healing stress fracture in my foot that was injured for those 2 months that I hobbled around. Thank goodness for the rebounder! What would I do without it?

Susan - I hope your neck starts to feel better. I've been having bad spasms in my neck and traps for the last couple of days more severely than normal and it really sucks.

Everyone's really doing well on this rotation. It's very inspiring. It makes me want to keep pushing harder and harder (although I guess I better still take it easy on my foot since it's not totally healed).

Lora thank goodness you foot is going to be ok, and you know why you have been having all the footpain. You must have a very high pain tolerance!!

Susan how many weeks are you now?

Marietta yesterday I did do the Cardio blasts of IMAX3}( I decided to do the warm-up and then the blasts and then I went on and did the IMAX3. I felt pretty darn GOOD those endorphins really started to kick in!!

How's everyone doing? It was quite on the check in yesterday. I was surprised when I signed on today.

Lora ~ I'm so glad you went to the dr. I can't believe that you were working out on a stress fracture for 2 months! Didn't it hurt when you were working out? I had them before from being on the track team in high school. You ARE one tough cookie!

Susan ~ How's your neck/back? Do you think it's pregnancy related. I had sciatic pain with my third pregnancy. For me the pain was in the lower back.

Nicole ~ I agree this rotation is just what I needed to push myself more. Next week, however, I don't have half of the work outs. I guess, I'll be doing a lot of running. I'll have to figure out my substitutions.

Marietta/Terri ~ You two never take any rest days?! I need at least one day a week to regroup. I did feel like a slug on Sunday though.

Hi Shaun, Diane Sue and Beverly!

I'm taking the kids to the gym, since I overslept. I'll do my 5 miles on the treadmill. Last night's concert was super long. Bo did sing! Carrie was wonderful! Actually, they all sounded much better!

Hello Everyone~

This morning I did BootcampX2...It really wasn't that bad, but it took so darn long. I did the warmup and the workout and then skipped the warmup the second time around. I just got this workout on DVD and this was the first time I used the new DVD - sure came in handy! I didn't even get to stretch afterwards because I had to get ready for work...It took me close to 2 hours to complete the workout. But I'm glad I did it! It was great. I don't think I'll workout during lunch today. I do have class this evening...It will be a step class (cardio).

Lora...A stress fracture??!! It would have been nice if they had told you what it was at the time...I probably wouldn't have stopped working out either unless I had known it was a fracture. Don't beat yourself up about that....sounds like you had an excellent workout. Wow! If you didn't have your rebounder, you'd be in BIG trouble!!

Nicole...that was a good idea for you to do the blast first. I'll have to try that sometimes. I just love IMAX3...I know, you've heard it before.

I am expecting to get my Rymthic Step DVD today....been waiting on that for quite a while...WOO-HOO!!

Oh yeah, I wanted to thank you again for suggesting that book. I did another closet over the weekend. My dd now needs a whole new wardrobe!

Good Morning everyone,

I did BC and then BC/ME Premix. The Premix doesn't have the core work in BC, and more weight exercises are done (from ME), plus it's just a little bit longer. It took nearly two hours to complete.
I can't seem to jump like I used to, so the intensity just wasn't there.

Lora, I'm glad the doctor removed the callus. That's got to be a relief.

Nicole, I'm only 14 weeks! I feel fine, it's just when I exercise I notice how my body is changing.

Dallas, It was my lower back that hurt while jogging yesterday. Once I stopped, the pain went away. I think I might stop jogging altogether and use my stepper/elliptical on days Cathe has us run.
I bet the concert was great! Glad that Bo did sing. I really liked him a lot. I like Carrie also. She's doing a candy commercial now.

Marietta and Terri, I usually take a rest day once every seven to ten days. If I do a good job alternating lifting and cardio, I can go some time without a day off.

Diane Sue, sounds like you have family over a lot ~ must be nice.

Good Morning Ladies,

Since I did bootcamp on sunday I am going to run again today. That way I will be back on the same day as most tomorrow with KPC. Then later I will do a weight workout and some ab work. Good job to all who have done bootcamp double so far today!

Marietta-Yeah rest days are not for me metally like I said in the thread you read. Nice to see someone else who doesn't take one very often either even if it's for a different reason then me:)

Susan and Dallas- The reason I don't take one is that I always feel like I will get fat if I miss a day. Unrealistic I know but my brain tells me that evertime I try and take one! Dallas I am glad you enjoyed the concert:)

Lora-Stress fracture! Oh my see you are a real trooper to keep plugging along!

Nicole-I am still waiting on my book to come but I have been doing things to get more organized in the mean time.

Hello all:

Today I did Bootcamp x 1. I don't intend to do it again tonight. I only had about 6 hours of sleep, but even so, I still didn't intend to do it twice. Like Cathe's post on the "ask Cathe" board said, you have to listen to your body. That is too much for me during the week on too little sleep, but I admire those of you who can do this.

For the first time in months, I'm having some issues with burnout. I dreaded BC today (but enjoyed it while doing it) and am REALLY dreading KPC tomorrow. Hopefully this is all just PMS and the heat/humidity getting to me and will pass!

Marietta Imax 3 is one of my favorites to!! I think it is much more doable to do the blasts first!! (you can't talk your self out of it ha ha)

Dallas I am enjoying the book to I've got a BIG 55 gallon garbage bag full of stuff to go to goodwill and another half full today!! I have started on my closet. So you keep on telling me all you are doing because it makes me want to keep up with you :7 Terri Day 1 of the book is take a full hour of your day and fill a garbage bag full of stuff and take that bag to good will that day!! So now you know Day 1 so lets GET GOING Girl}( I am going to really TRY and focus on Day 1 this week!! As I have a things to get rid of:7

Susan you sure have a lot of energy for 14weeks. Gosh I did'nt have any until 5 months, and then I could do anything :7

Diane Sue I think it is GREAT the kids, and grandkids keep you busy :D Did you get your fence done? Your Dh should be home soon!!

Foodie Sue sometimes taking a day or 2 off really helps me. Also I will get out a different dvds to shake things up a bit. Good luck and hope this pass's!! Keep on checking in!! This really helps and makes it more motivating and fun.

Hi everyone,
This mornings workout was IMax3, followed by intervals 1-5 of I Max 2,CTX leaner legs stopping at the abs, Pyramid calves and floorwork, Stability ball abs, then leaner legs abs and stretch. Oh and I did 5 sets of 20 kneeling crunches on the Bowflex, s sets of 20 rocket shoots w/ med ball and 2 sets of barbell roll outs on my knees. A long workout:)

Susan yes my family is here a lot. My dh says he knows if anything happened to him he would not have to worry about me by myself and needing help. I hope your back is better. Maybe the jumps are geting a little harder as you have a little baby weight. I think I slept through two thirds of my pregnancies.

Nicole, yes the fence is finished finally. It looks great. My son is on vacation this week so came over yesterday to take care of some other things since I will be gone. I think doing the blasts first was a great idea. I haven't done them on I MAx 3 yet. I usually do it with Imax 2 blasts and then Imax 2 or 3.

I got a few minutes, so I popped in here. Diane Sue and Nicole when you do the blasts first in Imax 2 or 3, do you do them again during the regular work out? Wow, that would be a sweatfest! I'm going to keep that in mind for a future work out.

Diane Sue ~ How long does a work out like you posted take? That was some work out! Girl, you don't mess around!:D

I loved my treadmill run at the gym today. I think I like their treadmill better. I have a Precor, the gym had Life Fitness. The 5 miles was way easier there. I did a Cathe CM segment (somewhat, I couldn't remember all of the exercises) too. My kids had a blast in the Kid's Club. Now I think I miss working out at the gym.:-(

This workout took me 2 and a half hours. Yes I do the blasts and the complete Interval workout from there. One w/u & stretch. I wish I had a treadmill. I had a proform at one time and it only lasted about a year and a half with dh & I using it. Next time I will make sure I can buy an extended warranty.
