Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Tues Jan 17

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Mindy Mylrea's Interval Express. It is an interval/cardio workout that uses a medicine ball in segments. I bought this a long time ago when I first got my med ball, but most of the med ball work is lower body and it is more aerobic than what I wanted at that time, so I never really used it again. This is a good advanced interval workout. If you can stand Mindy! She reminds me of an advanced Denise Austin on speed. LOL! The only complaint I had with this workout is that there was zero stretching at the end or beginning. I did a Cathe stretch segment for my cool down/stretch.

My boss was at me again all day yesterday. She is in a foul mood and certainly taking it out on me. I got sort of emotional at one point during the day yesterday (darned PMS) and she asked me if I wanted to talk to her. So, all I said was that recently it seems as if I can't do anything right (according to her ....that is). I think she realized how she was being cuz she definitely changed her altitude with me. I hate that I'm such an emotional person! I can cry at the drop of a hat.

Anyway - have great workout ladies. I really wish my Push DVDs would get here, cuz after I try them, I want to get back into lifting a little more and heavier. I think my muscles have had enough of a break from heavy lifting. Although, I still need to lose a few pounds...so I'm not sure what I'm going to do for a future rotation.

ETA: To whomever asked about the older TLP DVD's. I know you can purchase them somewhere, but I can't remember where. Maybe if you post over at Tracielongtraining.com Forum....she can answer that. I notice she is VERY active on her board. She even forwarded an email to the Physical Therapy/Trainer specialist at V for a recommendation on exercises for my disc bulge injury. Tracie is a real sweetheart and it's really nice to see someone so active in their online community. I have a lot of respect for her because of that. I wish Cathe spent more time with us.

I missed everyone...I had been off work since last Friday and didn't go anywhere near a computer!

Here are some of the workouts I've done recently:

Sunday - 7.5 mile treadmill run
Monday - Bootcamp & Intervals 1-5 of Imax 2, Back workout
Today - Hardcore Extreme #2

Lora - I'm glad you had the opportunity to let you boss know how you were feeling. I understand how you didn't want your emotions involved, but at least she got the understanding of how you were feeling. I think I'm going to order the Coffey workouts you recommended today.

How is our buddy Susan doing these days?

Hi everyone!

I dint have access to a computer yesterday! Talk about withdrawal. hahaha

OK, what I have is sciatic pain in my right. I found out the "technical" term. I was calling it posterior pelvic pain. Anyway, it hurts like crazy!! So, I'm totally unable to do ANYTHING with my legs. I even tried to do squeezed with my Pilates Ring and saw stars. Ugh.

Yesterday I did GS Shoulders twice (instead of the band, I used 5# db).

Today I did GS Triceps twice. I will not be able to do anything with back and legs for a while. I'll be putting the "muscle memory" theory to the test, won't I?

You will NOT believe what happened yesterday. I went to the dr. for now my weekly check-in. As she was checking the baby out she says....."Oh look! There's the BOY parts" and focused in on them. I was FURIOUS!!!! I've only said for the last ten months I don't want to know what it is. I only saw her seven days ago and said it again. I then was mad at myself for being SO mad at her and NOT being happy that I'm having a boy...so then I was double mad. What a viscous cycle, huh?
We had already picked out our names, but now we know we will have a Spencer Aiden added to the family in two weeks.

Lora, I remember when Push came out. Let us know how the workouts are.

Dallas, I think I asked this over the weekend so I'm not sure you saw it or not, but did you ever purchase the natural peanut butter stirrer? I wondered how well it worked.

Sabrina sounds like the new job is going well. Just wait until you get your first sale. That will be exciting.

Diane Sue, I had really good Customer SErvice from BeachBody. I had accidentally ordered VHS, and it took hmmmmm, about a week for me to receive. I called the co. and said "whoops" and the delivered the DVD's to be that day BEFORE I had the VHS in UPS. I didn't have any problems with my credit card either.

Lora-I am sorry your boss has been such a witch. I hope she changes her attitude soon. I was the one that asked about the TLP DVD's. Thanks for the info. I might have to try that. I hope I can find them. Is there a website on that PushTv? I thought I would check it out.

Marietta-Did you have a nice break from work? You got in some great workouts I see. Let me know what you think of the Coffey workouts too. I have been thinking of ordering them. Lora likes them so she has me interested too.

Hi Dallas, Diane Sue, Nicole, Susan, and Terri! How are you ladies?

I have to go grocery shopping today. Not sure what else I need to do. I have class tomorrow and Thursday from 8:15 to 4:00 (plus an hour driving each way) and Class Friday from 8:15 to 1:00. Those will be some long days. I need some stress release. Maybe I should do some KPC! LOL!

Good Morning Everyone!

This AM I did LL and a 25 minute steady state treadmill run. It was SOOOOO hard getting out of bed at 5A, but so glad I did. Again during my run, my heart rate monitor was flashing at me indicating I was above my zone. I felt good however, not winded or anything. Hmmm, I'll have to do a search on here. I'm sure this has come up. Maybe I'll have to do a fitness test to see where my zone is? Does that make sense to anyone? I still have abs and a stretch to do. I may try TLT-FYC, but I think it may be too long.

Lora ~ Sorry, you're having problems with your boss. At least her attitude changed when you talked to her. I was checking out Kelly Coffey on collage. I'm SO tempted! :) I also saw a yoga DVD by Anthony Carillo that interested me. I'll have to research more.

Marietta ~ You got some great workouts in this weekend. Were you busy with the kids?

Susan ~ I had sciatic pain with my third. I feel your pain. Honestly, it was so bad that if that had happened with my first I'm not so sure I would have had more kids! That bad. The doctor recommended this belt that I wore under my clothes and it fit around the lower back. It might have helped a little. I did not get that peanut butter gadget. I meant to, but then forgot all about it. Turning it upside down in the frig seems to work quite well. :)

Terri ~ Well, what happened with your son????? I'm crossing my fingers!:)

Sabrina ~ Put KPC in the DVD player..you'll WANT to jump right in with Cathe and crew!

ETA: Marietta, I've been meaning to tell you that I found those treadmill workouts in my issue of Fitness Rx for Her. I've had that issue, but just now read through some of the articles. Thanks again for typing ALL of that up! :) Terri, there's an article in the most recent issue (Feb 2006) you may be interested. The workout looks "freestyle-ish". I've skimmed it, but still have to read the article.

Well I don't think my son got the job. They were having a hard time deciding between him and another guy. Looks like the other guy one out since he was older and closer to the age of the rest of the team. He doesn't seem to upset and will continue looking.

Lora-I feel bad for you having such a mean boss. Oh hey I ordered the saucony shoes like yours. I love the brand and the colors are so pretty!

Susan-I would be furious as well if they told me the sex and I didn't want to know!

Marietta-Nice to see you back again. Glad to see you had a nice weekend.

I am not sure yet what workouts I am doing today besides Chest and tris. I will most likely run and do Burn it up. I am in a funky mood today. I feel like I need some motivation.

I haven't finished my abs yet because I've been online looking at train fares now. My dh won't fly! Oh boy! :-(

Good afternoon,
Today I did Cardio Coach #5, GSback adding 3 sets each reverse close grip pulldowns and wide grip pulldowns on the Bowflex, GS shoulders, Gs Biceps adding 2 sets of alternating biceps curls and Timesave#3biceps work, GS st.. Maybe I can get in a Str. Max this evening.

Marietta, it looks like you got in some good workouts. Hope you enjoyed your days off.

Terri, I am sorry your son didn't get the job. I am sure another is out there for him. I hate not feeling motivated. Maybe if you start with something that you always enjoy doing. I sometimes do that and once I am started I get on a roll and do a lot. It will make you feel much better:)

Susan, thanks for the good info on Beach Body. I am hoping it all runs smoothly. I am anxious to get the new workouts. I forgot I had a 10% off coupon with the SS dvd's when I ordered:( I remember having the low and to the side back pain when pregnant. It was so hard to find any position that was comfortable. I don't see how you workout. Maybe that helps though.

Hey guys checking back in to see what you guys are up to...

I did the EFX at lunch for 30 minutes, then I did 200 walking lunges with 10 lbs, and then some chest work. Think I'm done for today.

Terri - So sorry your son didn't get the job. He will find something. As for you...I think Diane Sue had a great suggestion, try doing something that you really like to get you going.

Susan - That's messed up that they kept telling you that you are having a boy. They need to stop assuming that everyone wants to know and pay attention to what the patient wants!! Okay...I'm off my soapbox now.

Dallas - Hey, I understand what you were saying about the heartrate...I use the perceived exertion method because it just works better for me. When I wear a heartrate monitor I do worse, because I spend a lot of energy worrying about it. It drives me crazy. I did enjoy my days off...My kids spent the night at some relatives for a few days so they weren't around too much. Me and the DH went out for dinner and a movie though...

Sabrina - Are you close to your first sale yet? How's work going? Have you been about to get in any workouts?

Tonight my DD has a basketball game...so looks like another late night for me.

I won't be at work tomorrow because I'll be celebrating my mom's 70th birthday. I just want to spend some time with her so darn it, that's what I'm gonna do!!

If I don't check in tomorrow...I'll be back on Thursday.

Thanks for the advice ladies! I did get going with some good music on my nano and then did chest and triceps. Now later I am shooting to do a SS workout.

Hi everyone,
I got a call from my neice today. She lost the baby. After trying for so long I felt so sorry for her. There is not much you can say when someone is suffering like that. They were so happy when they found she was expecting. She goes to the dr. again on Thursday. I posted that she just found out Thursday. She was 5 weeks.

I am so sorry about about Niece. I know the feeling, I lost a baby at 7-8 weeks several years ago. Give her big (((hugs))) from me.
