Morning Ladies -
This morning I did Kelly Coffey's Get Ready, Step, Go. This was a really good workout. My HR stayed in the 140's and 150's throughout (plus my face was BEET red when I went to get my shower), but I had a bit of trouble catching on since this was my first time. She doesn't really break anything down. She sort of just does it, adds on and is like "watch me and then you do it". I learn better when moves are broken down and then done....but her moves weren't so complex that you'll never get it. Her moves are more athletic than dancy. We did skiing, jumping, kicks, jacks, etc. I should start doing better after I've done it a few to several times. It had a LOT of plyometrics. A lot of jumping up on the step and off and ended with some standing oblique and ab work. The stretch was very minimal (my only complaint).
All in all, I like her and I enjoyed the DVD. I emailed her yesterday to ask her if she had any other DVDs out because I like her and she told me that she has taught for 22 years and never wanted to put out any DVDs. In fact, she said she did not really do this to make money for herself. I guess her father who is 74 (and was really fit and healthy up until now) has developed dementia and she is raising money for research for the disease and his treatment. She said she may do a couple more if she needs to (for her father).
I just checked my tracking for my TLTs and they are in Columbus, OH which is about 3.5 hours away from here (4:00 am this morning). I wonder if they'll get them to Youngstown in time for them to be loaded on the truck for today's shipment! Someone on Videofitness rec'd hers yesterday afternoon and did 2 of them right in a row. I'm sure that's what you ladies will all be doing!!
I'm thinking I'm going to take a rest day Saturday since I haven't had a total rest day since October. Does doing a Yoga/Pilates blend tape and stretch count as a total rest day?
Have great workouts and I'll check back later. I hope everyone is doing well today. Did anyone get their TLTs yesterday? Which one are you going to do first? I posted over at TLTs Forum asking them to post a rotation.....one with only the TLTs and TLPs and one with traditional weight work and aerobics. No response yet.
ETA: Sorry this is so long.......I guess I had a lot to say this morning.
