Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Thursday Jan 5

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Kelly Coffey's Get Ready, Step, Go. This was a really good workout. My HR stayed in the 140's and 150's throughout (plus my face was BEET red when I went to get my shower), but I had a bit of trouble catching on since this was my first time. She doesn't really break anything down. She sort of just does it, adds on and is like "watch me and then you do it". I learn better when moves are broken down and then done....but her moves weren't so complex that you'll never get it. Her moves are more athletic than dancy. We did skiing, jumping, kicks, jacks, etc. I should start doing better after I've done it a few to several times. It had a LOT of plyometrics. A lot of jumping up on the step and off and ended with some standing oblique and ab work. The stretch was very minimal (my only complaint).

All in all, I like her and I enjoyed the DVD. I emailed her yesterday to ask her if she had any other DVDs out because I like her and she told me that she has taught for 22 years and never wanted to put out any DVDs. In fact, she said she did not really do this to make money for herself. I guess her father who is 74 (and was really fit and healthy up until now) has developed dementia and she is raising money for research for the disease and his treatment. She said she may do a couple more if she needs to (for her father).

I just checked my tracking for my TLTs and they are in Columbus, OH which is about 3.5 hours away from here (4:00 am this morning). I wonder if they'll get them to Youngstown in time for them to be loaded on the truck for today's shipment! Someone on Videofitness rec'd hers yesterday afternoon and did 2 of them right in a row. I'm sure that's what you ladies will all be doing!!

I'm thinking I'm going to take a rest day Saturday since I haven't had a total rest day since October. Does doing a Yoga/Pilates blend tape and stretch count as a total rest day?

Have great workouts and I'll check back later. I hope everyone is doing well today. Did anyone get their TLTs yesterday? Which one are you going to do first? I posted over at TLTs Forum asking them to post a rotation.....one with only the TLTs and TLPs and one with traditional weight work and aerobics. No response yet.

ETA: Sorry this is so long.......I guess I had a lot to say this morning.

Good Morning Ladies!

No way could i get up this AM. We didn't get home from the Bulls game until 11:30P. I knew it would be a late one, but I still set my alarm. That was the kid's first game. Well, my dd has been before. The boys were dancing all over the box every time the music came on!:D I wished I had brought a camera.:(

Anyway, the rotation I'm following calls for S&H shoulders and cardio. I'm substituting CC #2. I can't remember how many miles that brings me to, but I'm shooting for at least 5.

Lora ~ I just checked the tracking and mine should be here by Friday. I **try** to do yoga on the weekend too. I don't think it would be a "total rest", but I always feel good after I do it.

Well, I better get moving before the kids wake up. My dh is home, so he'll start breakfast if I'm not finished when they wake up.

Hi to all who follow.

Dallas:)

Status of my TLT's "out for delivery" in my town!!!

I have to see which one I want to do tomorrow!!

Morning ladies!

Lora-I think I might have to check out those DVD's. Kelly only has two out? What are the TLT ones that you ladies are getting? I am glad you are getting them today. My workout collection could always be bigger!! LOL! I am in the mood to shop for some more DVD's.

Dallas-Sounds like the game was a lot of fun. I have never been to a game.

Nicole-Hang in there. Hopefully it will all be over soon. Poor babies!

Marietta-Have a nice run. It is soooo gloomy here and it has been for days. Depressing!!

I will be back later. I have a meeting at 12:00 and then I work from 1:00 to 5:00. I will have to see if I can get online up there. Hmmm. lol

Good Morning,

I'm getting in late today since we had a lot of ice this morning. I had to change my drs. apt. to Monday because of it. Boy, it the baby active. I've read movements usually slow down about now....I hope I don't end up a crazy kid! hahaha

This morning I did PH w/u, MIS Back, Biceps, PH squats and plies, and PS Back and Biceps. I didnt have time for abs. Tough stuff. I have to use db's instead a bb for better ROM. More than 30 pounds is too much pull on my lower back, but still I feel it.:)

Lora, I LOVE Plyos. I really shouldn't get another w/o....but you said Kelly is raising money for a good cause...sounds like a good reason to me;) My SPRI ball arrived yesterday. Thank you for suggesting the heavier one. I was all set to order three pounds.
My TLT's are in town! Yay! I'll have them at my house this morning. I put rock salt out so the UPS guy wont slip.
I'll preview the workouts, I'm not sure if I'll do them or not.
I read some reviews this morning on the YaYa Board. Now I'm HAPPY I purchased them!

Dallas, Are you using Cardio Coach? I'm not positive if that's what you were referring to. How long are the CD's? I've heard they are great for cardio equipment. I'm not even sure if I have a CD player. I'm really not into music that much.

Nicole, You're a great Mom taking care of everyone while they are sick.

Looks like another busy day at the office, but I'll check back around lunchtime.

I will for sure do a ss workout and some heavier upper body work. I may or may not do cardio today.

Nicole-I hope everyone at your house gets better soon.
Dallas-The game sounds so fun and I bet you enjoyed watching the kids more then the game :)
Diane Sue-Sounds like you are doing much better
Lora-You have me interested in the workouts but I am giving serious thought (still) to the TLT's
Marietta-Your workouts are looking great. How is the new year going?
Sabrina-Good luck at work today!
Susan-Our weather is so mild here. Fifties and sixties here In Denver for January is unusual! I have a feeling it will catch up to us soon.

Terri

Susan like you I read the reviews at ya ya's, and I am really happy I jumped on this bandwagon to:7 I am anxiously waiting for my door bell to ring:D I can't believe the workouts you do?????? You are just amazing!!! I am thinking you should have ordered a 10lb ball:p

Marietta I have not done Step blast in awhile!! I know you really enjoy step!!I did cardio and weights yesterday, and had so much fun. I think I had been away from step to long LOL.

Marietta and everyone what is your most favorite step dvd?

Hello Again...

Just got back from a 3.5 mile run. Also did some shoulder work.

I'm very interested in the workouts that Lora is talking about...If nothing else, it's for a good cause...

I just looked at the January rotation that Cathe put out as well...it looks darn good too. The only thing I would do is add weight work. I may start it next week, unless I get a better offer.

Susan - you be careful in that ice. Your baby is probably working out that's why you're getting all that activity...you have no one to blame but yourself Ms. Can't-Be-Still!! (Not mad at you, because I did the exact same thing!!).

Terri - What is up with You my friend? Sorry you're not feeling 100%...but glad you're better. My new year is going good...I feel good and I'm just going all out in EVERYTHING that I do. My goal is to improve in all aspects of my life and so far I'm off to a good start. We are having some very mild weather for January as well...and I agree that it will probably catch up with us real soon.

Nicole - Yep! Lovin Step Blast!! It's probably my favorite in terms of steady state, but for intensity, I choose IMAX 3. I agree that Susan is something else!!

Sabrina - you seem incredibly busy. You must tell us about your job and what you think of it.

Hi Diane Sue!!

Take care...

Hi again!

Nicole ~ You've had your hands full over there. So sorry. :-( Hopefully, it will get out of your house really soon. No, I never did get those donut weights. I do have the adjustable ankle weights. They just came in the mail. I forgot I had ordered those too. ;) Yes, Terri we ARE addicts! LOL!

Susan ~ Yes, it was Cardio Coach volume 2 that I did this AM. I had to rewind to get the 5.25 miles in. I guess I should look at another volume that he has. I really like CC. Yes, you ARE working it mommy! LOL!

Marietta ~ I just printed out your hill workouts. I'll have to give them a try really soon. The Globetrotters would be fun to see.

Diane Sue ~ You have volume 5 of Cardio Coach? How long is that? Do you like the music?

Sabrina ~ Have fun at work? How's things going?

Terri ~ Did you decide on the TLT? I hope you feel better really soon. Yes, I have to admit I had more fun watching my kids get into all the action. My ds2 was fascinated by the big blow up Benny the Bull that flies around the stadium. He wanted to know where he went. LOL! I thought for sure that they'd get on the "fan cam" all 8 kids with their Hinrich jerseys on.

Lora ~ Thanks for the reviews. How did you find out about Kelly Coffey? You might have mentioned it before...sorry.

Have to go do returns from Christmas still. Not too many, but I always dread doing this.

Have a great day everyone.

Dallas

I saw Kelly Coffey mentioned on Videofitness. Speaking of her (since I made the negative comment yesterday about the other person's belly bulge)! Kelly's legs are exactly how I wished mine looked. They are toned, define and muscular, yet thin (if that makes sense). I think it must be all of those plyometrics!

Also, on the belly bulge instructor ....I previewed that DVD again last night and my eyes just can't even leave that area of her body. I'm totally fixated on it. I'm weird like that.....if I see a news person that has a funny facial feature, I can't even concentrate on what they are saying. I looked at her website and she looks good on it.....maybe the outfit she has on just doesn't do her justice. I'm going to be trying the workout itself soon though.

My TLTs are at my house. I just phoned home. I know what i'll be doing tonight (previewing and deciding).

Oh and someone else watched the Coffey clip on Collage and said she looked "similar to Cathe".

Hey there!!!

I was just reading over your posts and I was wondering what TLT's were? Also, where is the Yaya boards? Sorry so many dumb questions!

Thank you!

Kristen :)

OK, I came back **thinking** Nicole would have written reviews for the TLT's. hahahaha Mine are at home too! I'll preview them tonight; maybe I'll have the gumption to do one also.

Lora, you're funny! I'm the same way! Where my parents live there is a newsperson who has funny chunky highlights in her bangs and they are so blond on her dark brown hair. I couldn't tell a thing she said.

Kristen, here is the link to the Ya Ya Board. You have to register, but it's free. I've been registered there for years and never posted. http://p199.ezboard.com/bfirmbelivers

here is the link to TLT's: http://www.tracielongtraining.com/Pages/Shop.php

It's "funny" but not funny, haha, I ONLY exercised to a Cathe DVD until I caught up with this crew. They are a bad (but a *good* bad) influence. hahahahahahahaha

Evening ladies!

No one wanting to sell or buy a house today. Shoot!

Not sure what I am doing this evening. I thought about working out but DH brought home Krispy Kreme donuts and they are calling to me. LOL!

What are you ladies up to this evening?

Check back later!

Good evening
Late posting. This felt like a long day. I went out and ran a load of errands between picking up grandchildren. I started my workout this morning kind of late. I did HSCh w/u & cardio, Premix add on SB #2,#3,challenge then finished off with HSCh stretch because I thought I really need to run these errands.(This was bugging me through the whole workout) I will get lower in in the am and maybe workout Sunday. I accomplished Tag agency, bank, Walmart, gas, BurgerKing(granddaughter wanted a Furby, spoiled child she has a real one) Library(as I reserved rabbit books), two trips to schools, car wash, and in between I set up appointments for a computer technician to come in and a sprinkler system guy to come and work on my timer, I could have dragged these out forever but decided to get them overwith. Now I need to finish cleaning house:)Oh and to top it off I stayed up to watch USC and Texas play in the rose bowl. Close game. I forgot to set the alarm and woke up at 7:30.

Susan& Dallas, in answer to your questions, Cardio Coach workouts vary in length. Vol 2 is almost 39 min, Vol 3 is 49 min, Vol 4 55 min., Vol 5 I have just downloaded but looking at the breakdown it is 1 hr and 3 min. or if you stop before challenge 3 it is 54 min. It has a lot longer high intensity intervals IMO. I am looking
forwards to doing this one.

Hi to my friends!!
I hope you had a wonderful day
Diane Sue

Wow Diane Sue! You sure did get a lot done today. I love days like that.
Thanks for the info. on Cardio Coach. It's so embarrassing how music technology illiterate I am. I don’t know what an mp3 player is! I sound like I should be 90 years old. hahaha I think Vol. 3 is about right for me.
