Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Thursday Dec 29

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Power 90 Masters Sweat 5-6. I skipped the Yoga part and did a few segments twice. It came in at about 50 min's and then I did YBB Hip Hop Abs, abs only section.

I know a lot of people don't like Tony's cardio, but I like it. They are athletic moves and you can put as much or as little into the movements to get your heartrate up. This DVD has a jump kick, block punch, punch upper cut sequence and for those of you familiar with Power 90 X....you do Heisman's, Defense Back Scoots (don't know if these are knew but they're fun), plyo tires, but fast....so they're called tires on fire....and Groucho walk is fast....thus called fast Groucho walk. For some reason these moves feel like "child's play" to me and I always look forward to doing them. Plyo Legs and Core Cardio (P90 Masters) have a similar feel. I just wish they were a bit longer and they'd be perfect, but there is always the rewind/repeat feature.

Good Morning,

I'm going to be taking today as an unplanned day off. I woke up around 1am due to difficulty breathing, then I did get up again at 4, but just didn't want to push myself, so back to bed I went until 7am!!

We are going to my parents for the weekend (leaving tonight), so most likely the whole weekend will be off. We're coming home Monday morning so I wont be checking in at all.

Lora, Tony's cardio seemed kind of easy in P90X. I think because of the breaks in between each exercise. I'll be sure to do his w/o again with my Jolie's in a couple of months. I liked the jump over the river and the catch the ball and shoot in the basket (something like that - basketball move).

I'm just getting into the office, so I'll check back later.

Good Morning!!

This morning I did a KPC premix (Intensity drills and combos 1&2, and abs). I will probably do a short run at lunch and do some chest work.


Lora/Susan - So, what do you think I'd like from that Tony dude? I think you guys know that I like hardcore stuff...will this do the trick?

Lora - How's work going this week?

Susan - Sorry you are not feeling well...what do you think is the matter? Glad you went back to bed...hope you feel better.

Marietta - I think you'd like P90X!!! But the cardio is a bit weak, as is the leg work, but you could customize it with Cathe added in.

Susan - Yes, when he stops and talks in between (out of breath, I might add -- moreso than me) it irritates me, but I've learned to either jog or do jumping jacks while he talks or if I know the DVD and what move he's explaining, I just start doing it. I do this with everything by him!!! Why are you having difficulty breathing? Sinus problems?

My boss is on vacation for 2 weeks, thus the only reason I'm able to be online. Work is doing okay. It's very busy (especially when my boss is here) and I can barely keep up with her, but so far.....so good. I hope I didn't jinx myself. There are annyoances (spelling?), as with any job...but it's just your normal stuff....like "why does my supervisor always have her head up her ass" and so on and so forth!! (can you tell I have a hard time dealing with people who aren't on the ball?)

Susan - what are jolies? I must have missed the explanation of those, but I noticed everyone is getting them.
 
Lora, Isn't it nice when the boss is away? My boss is leaving the USA on 1/7 for three weeks!! By the time he gets back, I'll be leaving to have the baby.
Jolie weights are tiny weights you strap onto the laces of your sneakers. It's just a little added resistance when doing cardio or ab work. Diane Sue has turned us onto them. Marietta, I think you will like P90X. The workouts are designed so you do as many reps as YOU want for YOUR goals. I have the entire set, but have not done all the workouts. To be honest, they annoy the living daylights out of me. Not so much Tony, but his crew. The camera zooming in and out all over the place (esp. on peoples sweaty foreheads) and showing them sucking on their water bottles drives me bonkers!! Like Lora said, the cardio and leg workout is beginner level. You could do a search and find TONS of info. on these workouts. Most people LOVE it and have had great results. I personally enjoy Cathe SO much more; I couldn't stick with P90X for more than a week at a time.

Morning Everyone!

I was all dressed to work out w/iPod in hand and decided to not workout. This cold is getting the best of me and I just don't want to push it. At least, the pink eye is gone! :) My dd woke up sounding worse than me. :-( So, I think some chicken soup is in order. My neighbor gave me a good recipe.

Susan ~ I remember that feeling of being out of breathe with the pregnancies. I hope you have a fun this weekend with your family. Maybe it's a BB thing, but even the SS you can hear Debbie breathing and that annoys me too. Once I get the workouts down, I'll just put on my iPod.;-)

Marietta ~ You on the prowl for some new videos? I still would like to get Circuit Max, Cardio Kicks and Pure Strength, but will wait for now.;-)

Lora ~ you would like the Jolie's, but with your foot problems I wonder if it would aggravate it. I use them for leg and ab work and not cardio, so maybe it would be OK?

Oh....Dallas, sorry you are not feeling well. Probably not a good idea to be working out. I think I am on the prowl...you know, I don't have Circuit Max or Cardio Kicks either. I was thinking I didn't want them...but I'm re-thinking that now.

Susan - Have fun on your trip...take it easy.

Lora - Glad work is going okay...you're right that no matter where you work, it will always be something.

Terri - I love the attitude you have to begin the new year with...way to go!!


I did get in a 3.5 mile run and I did chest work as well. That just may be all for me today.

Anybody got new year plans?

OK, I just ordered the 4-pound Xerball. There! That's it!! PLEASE don't tell me about any awesome, got to have workouts or gadgets (coving ears) LA LA LA...I can't heeear you! hahaha

MY DH accepted another job offer today. It's a bit of a pay cut and other benefit cuts, BUT, in the long run it is a better choice than where he is at now (future-wise). Plus, his Mon-Fri travel will be gone. I don't mind him gone, but I think for the kids it's best he's home anyway.

Here is my January rotation! Yippee!
There is a slight possibility I might NOT get to do the VIPER since I could have the baby that day. :D

Dallas - that's funny.....Debbie's breathing annoys me also. I don't get annoyed by much on exercise tapes....but that did me in! I'm starting to think about doing another SS rotation, but I get bored quickly on them.

Susan - that's some rotation you put together and your pregnant. I think I must be slacking! I've never been pregnant, so I had no clue about the breathing thing. I feel like a dummy. I thought people only had difficulty breathing from asthma, sinuses or cardiac reasons.

Who all is getting the TLT's? I see on VF that they are scheduled to be shipped out Monday. Per Tracie, they are having a big shipping party on Saturday. I think I need to get a 4 lb ball also. I just saw on the VF forum that you can get them at Amazon (can't remember the name brand) for $7.99....but they are 5" in diameter versus the 4" inch. I'm so mad.......sorry Susan....I just found out. I wonder if the new workouts use the band around the ankles?....anyone know.
 
Hi to everyone,
It has been another busy day for me. This morning I did Cardio Coach #2 stopped and helped granddaughter start knitting, then LowMax segments 4-7, GS Chest, stopping after bench press, and flys to do 2 sets ea. on the Bowflex, then after the incline work I did one set each bench press and flys on the Bowflex, then finished the workout. Hopefully tomorrow I will get in a thorough ab workout.

Marietta I would definitely get Circuit Max. You can alter it or do it as is. It is a good cardio workout with light or I sometimes substitute heavier weight work. I like Kick Max as well and you can do just the power drills at the end for a 14 min. add on.
