Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Thurs Aug 25

Morning Everyone,

This morning I did Bootcamp and modified the jumping on the rebounder for my foot. I pulled or strained something in my low back/right hip area and I'm having a hard time straigtening up. I think I did it lifting a box and twisting at work yesterday when in a big hurry. I sure hope it doesn't last long.

As far as the add ons this week, I knew I was going to have a hectic week so, last Saturday (instead of resting), I did Kickmax Drills, 200 walking lunges, some cardio, ab work, and PLB from this week's rotation.

I hope everyone is doing better today. Sounds like we have quite a few in the group having bad weeks with family problems and health issues this week.

Have great workouts everyone and tomorrow will be my last check in for a few days. When I return from Vegas, there will most likely be a new rotation posted!
 
Morning Ladies

Lora-I hope you aches and pains go away soon! Have a great time in Vegas!! I would like to go someday.

Walked the boys to school. That is as far as I have gotten today. Not sure what I am going to do later. DH and I are trying to figure out what SUV we are going to get. Maybe I will test drive some this evening. Maybe I can get a workout in too.

I have a new niece too!! She was born yesterday at 1:02. My brother and SIL named her Hannah May. She was 7lbs 4 ozs and 19 inches long. My brother now has 2 girls and I have 3 boys. LOL!

Day 4 of the book is easy enough for me today since I only have two sets of sheets for everyones beds in the house. I will not be getting rid of any. LOL! I think I will work on the simplifing. Get rid of some things in our bedroom maybe. Straighten up some. How are you ladies doing?

Good morning!!

This morning I did CTX Step and Intervals and GS-Biceps. I'm thinking about running during lunch today...but I don't know about that. I also have an Interval/Weight class this evening.

Lora - Hope your back gets better, especially before your trip!! When will you be back from vacation? Enjoy yourself...you certainly deserve it!!

It will be weird not having you start the daily thread...I guess whoever get's here first in the morning will have to do it until Lora returns. Lora is just so darn good and consistent...hard act to follow!!

I know Terri is gone until next week....

Good Morning,

Today I did BC (modified or skipped a lot of the planks/core). I followed with my new TLP Cardio Core. I loved it! This is my first purchase of a DVD since "finding" Cathe. I know Cathe's workouts so well, I lip sync with most workouts.

Lora, almost time for Vegas!! I hope your foot and back aches will go away during your vacation.

Dallas, good luck at the doctors. Be verrrry careful if they give you any type of medicine. I've had terrible experiences with doctors and will not go other than to have a baby or if I'm dying.

Nicole, any updates on your sister? I'm glad your parents are able to stay with her and they you are nearby to visit. It's got to be very challenging to keep everything together when you want to be two places at once.

Sabrina, Congrats on being a new Aunt! How exciting. I like the name they choose too.

Today I am going to do ME and one of my other dvds since I decided to take yesterday off:D I started DEJUNKING the kids room and I was still feeling sore from MM and those 200 walking lunges on Mon.... So I took the kids to the pool:7

Sabrina so far that is the only workout I have gotten in to :D(walking the kids to school and biking over to get my kindergartner)I just LOVE the wheather we are having!! Congrats on you new niece!!

Day 4 has quite a few things to do!! I cleaned under the kids beds yesterday, but today I NEED to vacuum under them!!! I WOULD LOVE to remove the TV from our bedroom, but my dh would not like that :D ha ha I suppose I could take it out and see if he noticed :p

Susan I have heard wonderful things about core foundations!! I will prob. buy it if I see it out when I am at Target. I would like to own Functional fitness dvd. I have heard that this one is hard to master???

The Doctors think that my sisters counts are stabilizing so I was happy to hear that!! Just hope they stay that way!!

Marietta sounds like you are putting in a good day for workout!!

Hey Dallas how are you coming along with Day 4!! I had to giggle when I read Sabrina's thing about the sheets!! When I first got this book I had like 4-5 sets of sheets for my bed ha ha. I goodwilled the big pile that was hogging my linen closet!! I think I am going to check out that book mentioned on page 30 ha ha.

Well gotta go!! I will try to check in later, but dd has swim lessons, and still really been focusing on dejunking. Gosh I can't believe how much I can get done with the kids are in school!! ;-)

Ha ha! I had to get my book out to see what book was listed on page 30! Could be interesting! LOL!

I am not getting very far today on our bedroom. I have been on the laptop most of the day searching for SUV's. We are going to get a new one since I have not been happy with our van since we got it just over a year ago.

It is raining here too and I am kind of bummed.

Nicole I am glad your sister stabilizing. That is good news.

I better get back to my searching. :)

Check out what I did at lunch today:

Cathe’s Advanced Treadmill Workout (modified)

3.4 - 4 min.
3.8 - 4 min.
4.4 - 4 min.
5.5 - 4 min.
6.5 - 5 min.
7.0 - 10 min.
7.5 - 5 min. (OPTIONAL!)
Slow down over 1 min. to 3.8
Raise incline to level 14 and walk uphill for 5 min.
Lower to level 9 and increase speed to 4.8 for 5 min.
Lower to ground level over 1 min.
Then do:
4 interval cycles of 8.0 for 1 min. and 6.0 for 30 seconds.
Finish with:
6.0 - 2 min.
3.8 - 1 min.

This took me every bit of about 56 minutes and I actually cut out a few minutes here and there. I'm showing above what I actually did and below is the actual workout.

Afternoon Everyone!

OK, I think I'm finally starting to get better now. I'm not taking any Tylenol and my throat is not hurting anymore! :D I also got CTX in the mail. I put it on while I was cleaning out some drawers. I did those 2 drawers that have been bugging me all summer. They are completely empty now! Anyway, CTX looks so fun. I can't wait to work out again. Today still isn't the day. Soon though.

Lora ~ Looks like another good work out! Have a great vacation!

Marietta ~ I was wondering the same thing...who's going to start our check in? I guess, like you said, whoever gets here first.

Susan ~ I know what you mean about docs. I have more than a few bad stories I could share. How is your son? Did your SIL ever say anything?

Nicole ~ Glad to here your sister is stabilizing. Are you still going to Chicago? Day 4 isn't a problem for me either. I cleaned out all the linen closets before we moved. I figured less to pack. So, today I'll work on more drawers, etc. My dh won't let me take the TV out either, but it's in a really pretty armoire when closed you don't even know it's there. I think it's somewhere in Day 6, she says something about having one pair of neutral shoes. OK, I have to draw the line there! Ha ha! :7

Sabrina ~ What kind of SUV are you looking for? We have a Tahoe and I love it. I used to drive an Expedition, so the Tahoe seems so much smaller. Good luck making a decision.

That is some workout Marietta! I really don't think I could go 8mph, maybe not even 7.

Reading what everyone says about this book is interesting. One thing about me is I don't keep many things, so it's rare there is clutter in my house. If it doesn't serve a purpose, it's gone. I think I have 3, maybe 4 sets of sheets for 2 queen size beds. etc.

Justin is doing very well. He didn't seem bothered by the whole experience at all. Did you see what I said about him when I took him trick or treating last Halloween?

TLP is Tracie Long Productions. They focus on functional fitness. It's totally different from Cathe. In the cardio workout they use a 3-pound ball, step and xering. Here is the link:http://www.tracielong.net/index.html
I really, really liked it. I viewed the strength w/o. There is a lot is both w/o's I cannot do now, but wait till I pop this baby!!

Marietta ~ Is this work out on a DVD/tape or posted somewhere? I've never seen it . I printing this and adding it to my work out rotations. Did you like it? I usually start out walking at 4.5 -5.0 before I start running. I'll have to give it a try.

We are actually looking at a Chevrolet Avalanche. Didn't like them at first but now I do. I have wanted to try ones for months now. I finally have DH interested in them because he hated them.

We also are considering a Yukon Denali. We also thought about the Expedition.

I think I am going with the Avalanche or Denali. We are going to go drive the Avalanche later. I don't know anyone that has one to see what they think of them though.

Dallas - You know I'm a lurker so I don't miss too much...

I found that workout on the forum somewhere quite some time ago and always figured it would come in handy. What made me think of it again was the fact that someone else on the forum was looking for it because they had heard about it as well.

Just what I did came up to litte over 5 miles...so had I not modified a little it would have been close to 6 miles.

Susan - I'm glad your DS is okay. Yeah, I did see what you said about him on halloween....He's a true animal lover indeed!!

Sabrina - I love both of those SUV's!! Let us know how it goes...

Evening ladies!

Quick question. Do you think it would be too soon for me to do a weight work out? Upper body or a lower body work out tomorrow? That's all I would do. I definitely don't want to have a relapse. I know I have to listen to my body. If you think that would be too strenous, what about yoga? I have to do something! :p
