Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Sunday Nov 6

Morning Ladies -

This morning I'm just going to stretch. I just got home from the concert at 2:30 am and got up at 6:00 am......so, I don't think I should push it. Plus ....I'm having stomach problems and I don't know if it's a bug, something I ate or my IBS.

The concert was great ...after we got there. We got so lost that I didn't think we were ever going to find the place. Seether really rocked and one of the opening bands, 30 Seconds From Mars....my niece really likes. Jared Leto (the movie star) is the lead singer and after the show , they were in the back of the place selling CD's and autographing stuff, so my niece tried to get her CD signed and I wasn't with her. She told me about it and said she didn't really get to talk to him, so I said ...let's go back and shove your way in there and be assertive. I told her these people are used to it and he'd be nice to her. Sure enough, we went back and got to the front and she told him she really liked him and was a big fan and asked if he'd sign her CD "to Jessica" and he did. He looked at her and smiled and she was thrilled. I felt like the mother watching over her and I told him how much she liked him so she wanted to come back and get a chance to say hi. She was so thrilled and I felt so happy for her. It was pretty exciting for her.

Nicole - Slim Series tomorrow, right? I guess I better get my CDs ready as I can't stand the music!!
 
Hi everyone,

I honestly forgot what I put for my w/o today. I have to refer to my sheet. My family is still here, so I thought I'd check in real quick while I had a second.

Well, my DH got stuck at the airport on Friday, so he missed his flight. He had a limo arranged to pick us up and take us out to dinner. He came home with a dozen roses and a Yankee candle. We'll have to go out another time ~ he promised.

Sabrina, I bet your hair looks great. I swear you can’t always live your life according to everyone else's schedule. I've learned that. I put myself last far, far too often. It's been almost 8 months since I've gotten my hair cut.


My son’s b-day party went extremely well yesterday! He got so many great gifts. My sister suggested setting some aside and giving them for Christmas. 28 kids were there!

Lora-what a late night! I am glad you had such a nice time with your niece. That is so nice that she got to have her CD signed.

Susan-Sorry your DH missed his flight. How sweet that he brought you roses and a candle though. That was very thoughtful!! I know about the schedule thing. With three kids I don't get to do a lot for myself or even have some time to myself. This class that I am taking is a first for me. I have not done anything but be a SAHM for almost 11 years. WOW your son had a great turn out for his party. I bet he was beside himself, especially with all those presents. Did he get them all open?? How old is your son?

I have to go grocery shopping today. What fun! I think we are also going back to my IL's to help them unpack some more.

Hello Everyone,
Well my BIGGEST FEAR happened last night while I was sleeping!! A tornado came through or culdasac, and of course we wake up as it is coming through!!

It was really scary!! Did'nt even get a chance to get to the basement!! Believe it or not our house had no damage (praise the lord) other than a somebodys shingle sticking in the front of our house!! The boys basketball hoop glass is broken, and just a broken light.

It's my poor neighbors around me that really got it all siding gone, chimney's gone, big tree's blocking driveways etc..... The boys have spent the morning cleaning up siding from our yard and the neighorbors.

I have been up since 3:20 am, but other than that I am just so thankful that everyone is ok!!

Lora it sounds like you are a WONDERFUL Aunt. Your niece's are so lucky to have you!! Oh and I know what you mean about the music!! I need to find my tomb raider cd!! I like to pretend I am Lora Croft haha!!

Susan to bad your Dh missed his flight!! Be sure you two have your romantic night SOON!!!

Today is KPC and gymstyle legs and abs. I am going to go see my dad today. I think my son and his gf will be coming up and going with me. My dad is adjusting to his new living enviroment. It really is a cute little apartment in a independant living center. My mom and brother are still not speaking to him and I don't think this will resolve before the holidays. I am not allowed to call the house where my mom and brother live. It is all so sad and nutty! I hope everyone can live with the choices they hav made.

Nicole - Where do you live. Oh my goodness! That's terrible. I'm glad you're okay. Yes, my nieces have always been very close to me, as they have absentee parents. It's a long family horror story. They lived in a household with a crack addict (my sister's boyfriend - who's finally no longer around) and they had some pretty rough times. When they were real little, their mother was never around and always dumped them off at my Mom's and since my husband and I are always at my Mom's....we became very close with the 3 girls. We are more on their age level than their parents, as we like all of the TV shows, bands, etc that they like. They can talk to us about anything and we never judge them.

Dallas - Where do you live? I was just curious where you saw Bon Jovi.

Sabrina - You're tape is in the mail.

ETA: My baby just got really sick again last night and this morning. The medication is not helping. We called the EMergency Vet and he said to start him on Kaopectate and get him in our regular Vet first thing in the morning. Poor baby.
 
Lora I am in Indiana!! Gosh after hearing your nieces story I am really glad that they have you!!

Tomorrow I plan on starting with Shape it up!! Get that 78 min. workout out of the way:D I going to follow the Slim training rotation. My GOAL is to do 2 weeks of SS and than add some of my Cathe's mixed in with them!!

Terri KPC sounds fun!!

Nicole - What threads were you reading to get you psyched? I need to get psyched and I did a search and couldn't really find what I was looking for. I just found reviews. I'm also doing Shape it Up Tomorrow and if I don't start work on Tuesday, I'll do Tear it Up then. I can't find your original post with the rotation, but I was planning on doing them on the days when I can fit them in (the longer ones). It doesn't matter what order you do them in, does it? Also, I don't want to take 2 rest days, just 1 and do a non-Cathe non-Slim Series on the other day. Do you think that will be okay?

Oh and you can squeeze in Cool it off or any of your yoga dvds. I would just play it by ear and see how you feel. I have to get up a 35 min. earlier in am just so I can get Shape it up done in time to take dd to school.

I am going to go in my workout room and get everything ready tonight!! Hope the link works!!
