Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Saturday Nov 12

Cathlete
Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Tamilee Webb's Defy Gravity Cardio. It was 45 minutes and I had to really add intensity to get my heartrate up. I added a bit of impact and plyo to it. I find myself doing this with all non-Cathe workouts these days. Oh....the music in this was awful. Really makes you appreciate Cathe, but I want to change things up a lot on my body, so I chose a non-Cathe cardio today. I probably should have done a rest day, as I'm sore from Slim Series, but I really feel I need more cardio with the Slim Series. I also did Slim & Limber stretch.

Nicole - Tomorrow I'm due for Firm It Up and I'm a little nervous, as my legs have been pretty sore from the other tapes! I'm feeling a lot of sorenss in my sides and back where I never have it. I've seen more striations in my shoulders from doing these. My abs may look a little more toned also so far. Also, as far as YBB or Turbo Jam - I'm not sure what to tell you, but I can tell you this. You'll need to to YBB x 2 if you get them, as they're pretty short and aren't good workouts standing alone. I like them as add ons or on "recovery workout" days, or if I want a regular workout, I do YBB x 2 and then it's okay. I like both series, but for different reasons. Do you have any other BB series? I was thinking maybe we could do a different rotation in the future, i.e., Power Half Hour/P90X/Power 90 Masters or something like that.

As far as the job, I'll just say that it's a lot of work, a lot of responsibility. The boss is a tyrant and very demanding. I have eyes and ears and can see this for myself, but I'm really sick of everyone "warning" me about her wherever I go in the hospital. For goodness sakes - when I went to HR to get my new name badge, before the lady took my picture - she gave me the third degree about my new boss (I guess she used to work with her) and now you should see my ID badge picture. I look horrid!! LOL! I'm just so sick of everyone telling me the same thing over and over when I work for her!

Have great workouts everyone! (or rest days)

sorry for the long post

Hello Everyone,
Today I will do Tear it up:D Last night I did Cool it off. I have to say I really enjoyed the stretchs and I liked how long she held the stretch. I also really appreiated all the lower back exercise's/stretchs.

Lora I know what you mean about these dvds. I really feel it in most of what I call my problem area's ha ha. My jjeans are definitely looser!! I think that would be a GREAT idea to mix our other BB stuff with the SS!!. I found some rotations using the other BB workouts(the ones that I have) I will email you the rotations and we can decide which one we can start mon?? Btw I just want to add I think it is smart to NOT listen to everyone about your boss!! You may end up really liking her!! (I hope;-))

Terri I hope you enjoy Shape it up today!!

Marietta WOW you do look GREAT!! Thanks for pointing that out to me Dallas:D

Well gotta go email Lora:7

Take care,
~Nicole

Hi Ladies,

Someone asked me about the music in the SS workout yesterday. It wasn;t that great but to be honest I was focusing so hard on doing the workout I didn't notice. :) I am sure it was because it was my first time doing it. You all know how that goes. You try to really focus on a new workout.

I must say that I am sore today in places I usually don't get doms. My legs (outer thigh espedially) and my hips and glutes are sore. In a good way! So Nicole I have to agree with what you said about problem areas being sore.

Lora-Maybe you should keep putting your resume out there. I am of the mind set that a job takes up so much of our time we should not be miserable where we work. It is one of the reasons I started my own business. I hope it gets better for you

Hello to Marietta, Dallas,Sabrina and Susan:) Oh and of course Diane Sue!

Today I will do Shape it up from the SS series and a run and some abs. I will be back with my review after I do shape it up. If I don't win tear it up on ebay I may order it from BB.

Terri

Hey there!

Today I did PLB and then the 20 minute run. I increased my weights today for PLB. Whew. I realized that I was off by 5 lbs from Cathe and crew. That was a good feeling. I'm sure glad it was only a 20 minute run because my legs were fried.

For all those who have bought on ebay. I received an e-mail saying that I have a second chance to purchase Turbo Jam Cardio Party for $22. Would you do it? It's new and sealed. Since on the Beachbody site it has them all grouped together, I'm not sure if that is a good deal. Also, you can't purchase the Turbo Jam DVDs separately. Help?! :)

Nicole, Lora, and Terri ~ Glad to see you're enjoying the SS. Terri I can't wait to hear you review on Shape it Up.

I have another question for you smart ladies. On my left side which would include my hamstring, quadricep, lower left back, and now today my left side of my neck, I have been experiencing some pain. I've been working out still, obviously. However, if a particular muscle is bothering me, I'll just work a different muscle. I think this stems from either picking up that milk crate sometime ago and/or the cardio bag class. Ever since something hasn't been right. Some days there's no pain and other days, it seems like out of the blue something will really start hurting. It will usually be just one of the muscles I mentioned above. My first thought was to go to a chiropractor for a good "crack". LOL! What do you think? Do you think I should create a new thread for this? Again, help! :)

Sorry so long!

I'll check back later.
Dallas

Dallas - I always work out with muscle pain due to my disc herniation. I've also pulled something in my lower back and have worked out with it. I'm just careful and I probably shouldn't be telling you to do it, as I'm not the best to ask since I tend to have so many problems with pain.

Nicole - I have to look over your email. I've been busy today, but I'll look at it soon. Do you have P90X?

Hi Terri - How'd you like the SS Shape it Up? I really felt that one the next day, but it was lacking in cardio (they all are to me).

Ok Ladies I am here with my review:) First though I wanted to tell nicole and Lora I won tear it up on e-bay!

Shape it up was a good workout IMO. Not cardio wise but once again with the freestyle method I really felt worked out. I used 8 pounds sometimes like for bi's and tri.s. I like the way this workout flowed and I especially enjoyed the standing ab work. It was a nice change. I really think this dvd can lean a person out if they use it in a rotation with some heavier weght work and adding cardio. If you bulk easy in the legs and hips then this is the workout for you. The music is not great but once again not something I gave a whole lot of thought to as I was busy isolating the muscles and focusing. I will be anxious to see how I feel tomorrow as I was sore already from tone it up yesterday. It is nice to have doms in my inner and outer thighs and hips! I will be anxious to see how Tear it Up compares to these two. When it arrives I will of course do a review :)

I also ran today for an hour and OUCH after being so sore:) It hurts so good:)
