Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Sat Jan 7

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did TLT Strength in Movement with Jen Carmen. I liked it. There are some moves I need to get used to that are new. I used my 4 lb ball for some of the new moves and my 5 pounder for the rest. I used 5 & 10 pound weights for the weight segments and 3 pounders for one shoulder segment.

I'll type more later (if anyone's around today). I have an early dental appt so I gotta run.

Have great workouts or rest days & I'll check back later.

I just finished breakfast, so I’ll workout in a little while. Today is cardio. I'm doing KPC and maybe a segment of L&G.

Marietta, Yes! TLT's are NOTHING like P90X. Since you go a gym I can explain it better (I hope) You know how (usually) guys lift...where say for example, one arm rows. They'll yank a heavy weight four times then let their arm hang for a few seconds and pound out a few more reps? That's how Tony lifts. He counts HIS reps really loud. If Cathe does a set, she knows how many reps she is going to do and lifts up/down, up/down and speaks in a normal voice.

Today will be filled with errands and vacuuming.

Yesterday I went to my son’s school as a "secret reader". As we were leaving, his teacher pulled me aside and said she wants to meet with me next week. She commented how well my son reads and writes. She thinks he should go straight to second grade. I thought all kindergarteners could read, but he is just beyond Level 3.

Dallas, I would like to utilize my treadmill and stepper more, so maybe I'll try one of the cardio coach cd's. I might look into an mp3 player, but I think they are 'spensive. hahaha

Susan,
If you have a dvd player you should be able to play the cds as long as your player handles the format like -r etc. I do not have any that don't handle this including my car. I download and use media player to record a cd. Then I put it in my dvd player, turn on the television and I can hear it. I do have other options and the sound is better through the mp3 player as opposed to going through the television which I have to increase volume on. I started my children in a private school and they were reading at 4 years old. My grandchildren could all write letters and numbers when they started school. I think if schools had more control over teaching, our kids would learn so much. They absorb so much. I bet you have read to him and helped him when he asks. Mostly we just need to pay attention to the fact that they are inquisitive and have a desire to learn. I think it is stifled many times by parents or teachers that have another agenda. Sounds like he is really smart. Level 3!! That is great:) I think that is a lot the parents. Great job!!

Good afternoon,
This morning I did Cardio Coach #5 great workout! I added a little. The entire workout with the 9 minutes st was 1 hr 2 min according to my treadmill. I did a lower intensity jog through the cooldown. Then I did MM core and st.. I pushed to 8 mph on a lot of these sprints and kept the incline to at least 5, raising it to 8 on some hills. I can see I can push this pretty hard:) I used to get above 8mph. I will get there soon I hope! Hoping to talk to dh and then do an upper body workout and more abs/core. I like to get in something just in case something comes up. I really want to take tomorrow as a rest day.

Lora the TLT's look good. I have watched some of the clips.

Today I am going to do TLT finding your core (I am hoping I will ha ha:7)and I think maybe I will do step blast for some needed cardio!

Susan I did BBBB and was happy that you mentioned you would wear your jolie wts. I wore mine last night and I think it was a nice little bonus!! I think once I get these down and can really focus on the moves I will really enjoy these!!

Susan that is great that son is doing so well in school!! I agree with Diane Sue.. It is because of you!!

Diane Sue how is your DH?? Will he be coming home soon? I always think about him when I see the news!! and you to of course:D

Marietta sorry are *we* being a bad influence on you}( To answer your questions best...... I would go over to Videofitness.com and do a search on any questions. That is what always works best for me. I really wanted to order Tracies last DVD's, but when I found out through VF that they were dvr's I decided to pass on those. (which I am happy that I did because they are not working for some people anymore.

I hope I did not offend here. I think your son sounds like he is way ahead. And I think that reflects well on you as a parent. You wont find many children in Kindergarten at a second grade level. I am just kind of ranting about parents and our educational system.

Afternoon Everyone!

This AM I did Imax 3 and MTV pilates abs (both sections). I'd like to do S&H Triceps and some floorwork for legs...later though. I have a few things I have to do first.

Diane Sue ~ That was some workout! That was a long one! Maybe I'll go with vol#4 first.

Nicole ~ Sounds like you're liking the TLT's? I just opened two this morning. I previewed the BBBB first and a little of the core one. My dh said, "What's this now!?" ha ha! and then asked if I was really going to do these. LOL!

Hi ladies,

Wanted to say a quick hello. I have been super busy. Remember the employee I had issues with? Well she has now Hired a lawyer and filed a workers comp claim. The dates she has filed for she states she was off work which SHE was not! That will be easy to prove as I have my payroll records but it is a pain in the butt getting everything tohether for my lawyer! Can you believe this girl? Out and out fraud IMO. She was not injured on the job nor was she off work. She was in a minor fender bender but that had nothing to do with work nor did she ever miss a day off work! I hate dealing with this stuff but I am even more outraged that she THINKS she can get by with these lies!

I am doing cathe cardio today and a SS workout. I haven't been running as much lately and I need to. I miss it. Ever since I go addicted to SS (thanks Nicole) :0 I have longer exercise days.

Hope everyone is well and doing ok. I will try to get caught up on this thread later.

I just got back from a Wedding Dinner --- ugh....cake!! So much for my diet.

Nicole - yes, I totally agree. The TLP's, as well as the TLT's take some getting used to before you can really "work it". I find I enjoy them more as I do them over and over.

This morning's workout was fun. Again, it worked me, but did not leave me drained. Although it wasn't much cardio, it seemed like I sweated a lot and my heartrate must have stayed a little elevated. I only burned 300 calories but I need to get used to some of the moves (a little hard to follow the first time). I really enjoyed the shoulder segment which was unique and the new move where you hold the ball out to one side and then the other. I also liked the drawing the sword move and some other new moves.

I redid my rotation a little bit ago, as the TLTs aren't enough cardio for me. I'm planning on doing a TLT or TLP one day, cardio the next day, weights the next day and so on and so forth. I'm going to do this for a couple of weeks and then hopefully I'll start my Push rotation. Geez...when will I get back to a Cathe rotation?
 
Hey Nicole or anyone else who's interested ~ I've meaning to tell you Bed, Bath and Beyond has utility totes 50% off. I've been working on the kid's closets and getting them organized with these handy totes. They're just the right size for their little socks, etc.

How's the chore chart idea working. I did that one for awhile, but **I** got lax with it. It really worked though. I think I'll try the marble jar idea instead. When something/anything good gets done I'll toss a marble in the jar. When it gets filled up, then they'll get their reward. I just haven't decided if I should do one for each kid or a "group" effort thing. Things that make you go, hmmmm.:)

Ok, have to go make some din-din. I'd still like to get some floorwork and/or S&H triceps in tonight. It just may not happen though.

Lora I totally agree with you on the TLT's:D You are so right they don't drain you, and the time seems to fly. I like all the reminders on pulling your belly to your spine.}(

Terri I am sorry to hear what that your x-eployee is being so dishonest:-( I know that this must be a pain in the neck for you!! I know what you mean about the SS being addicting I feel as though I am going through withdrawal:p (its been 2 day since I have done one??) I will for sure do one or part of one tomorrow after one of my TLT's. (it is so fun to get some new workouts:7) I have found that SS are kind of a comfort workout for me :7

Diane Sue I just have to tell you again. I am loving these jolie weights they are working out GREAT with the 2 TLT's that I have done so far:D

Dallas that book that I read did the marble jar, and my sons teacher does that with the marble jar, but I am in the mode of not buying anymore stuff. The chore chart is working!!!! Although with 2 of the kids being sick this week. They had some missing stars, and that really bothered my 8 year old:7 So we will get back to it next week.Hey how are you liking you new dvds???

Susan I had to giggle last night on some of the moves for BBBB. I had trouble with some of the moves I thought of you:7
