Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Friday October 28

Morning Everyone -

This morning I woke up feeling very stiff, achy and chilled. I don't know if it's just soreness and the weather or if I'm fighting something. Thank goodness my rotation only called for Slow & Heavy Shoulders and a section of Coremax. I did S&H Shoulders, Tough Core Premix & 20 minutes of Turbo Jam.

I'm going to try and do a second workout later today if I'm feeling up to it. Yesterday, I attempted Christi Taylor's Still Steppin for 30 minutes, but I did so horribly following the footwork that my heartrate hardly elevated and I didn't like the music she chose.

My husband and I are supposed to go to a Wedding tomorrow, but he has to work all day first.....so he'll be in a bad mood.

I'm a little down today, as there have been ZERO job opportunities.

Have great workouts everyone. I'll check back later....hopefully after I do another workout.

Dallas - As far as non-Cathe workouts, I'd say I mostly reach for TLP's and Beachbody programs like Yoga Booty Ballet, Power 90 Masters, Turbo Jam, Power Half Hour and Power 90 X for non-Cathe days. I also like Slim Series (some times - with my own music though)and an occasional Tae Bo Live.
 
Good Morning Everyone!

Yesterday, was so busy. I never even made it to the workout room. :-( I was too tired to work out anyway. So, I'll be doing a treadmill run. Probably only 30 minutes. Then GS-Back and CM#3. Everything I was supposed to do yesterday.

Lora, thanks for the list of DVDs. It may be nice to have some others to throw into the mix - change things up a bit. I know it has to be the hardest thing searching for a job especially when you're under pressure. I'll say a prayer for you.:)

Oh boy, where did that time go! I better start my workout! I'll check back to see how everyone else is doing.

Hello Everyone,
This am. I did low step lower cardio blast or whatever that premix is called. Clocks in at 49 min. without a stretch. I really like this workout!! I plan to do GS shoulders later today!!


Susan and Sabrina have you done this one yet?? I know you have lora.

Well hate to cut it short, but I am off to Halloween parties :7

Hi Ladies, Sorry the day was so busy yesterday I never got the time to check in. Today will be bodymax and I may add some more ab work to it. My son is coming up after noon so we can do last minute shopping for the cd release party tomorrow night. I am so excited for him!

Lora-Can you tell me more about turbo jam? What are your favs from that series? I think some things to shake it up will be nice. I am getting Jullians from netflix so I can try before I buy.

TGIF!!!

Well since I was off work for a few days this week for being sick, I was really busy yesterday and didn't get a chance to check-in. I managed a few workouts yesterday and did okay. Looks like I'm getting better.

This morning I did IMAX 1....not sure what I'll do at lunch.

I found some excellent hill workouts for the treadmill. Once I type them up, I'll share them with anyone who is interested. They will be great to "shake" things up a bit.

This week is kind of shot for me as far as weight training is concerned. I think I'll figure out a rotation to start on Monday to get myself back on track.

Lora - You'll get tired of hearing this, but be patient...things are going to work out for you.

Dallas - So what Non-Cathe workouts are you considering? I should probably get more, but wouldn't know where to start either.

Susan - I saw that you were not feeling too well. Hope you are starting to feel better now.

Sabrina - Your bodyfat numbers look excellent! Looking at you, I'd say they are pretty accurate. I also saw your Chicago pics...looks like you guys had an awesome time.

Terri - How's it going lady?? Are you back in the groove??

Diane Sue - I'm thinking you are out of town or something...hope you're having fun.

Nicole - What is going on with you? I'm sure you're keeping busy. How's the family??

Dallas-don't you hate it when you have a workout planned and really really look forward to it and then something comes up?! Seems to happen a lot here. I did manage to get on the treadmill last night while watching Survivor. I power walked 40 minutes. Hopefully I can get in something today but the boys are out of school for parent/teacher conf.

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone. I'm so depressed that I can't even make myself start doing stuff around the house that needs done.

I just finished my 2nd workout (at least I'm not too depressed to workout...LOL). I did 20 minutes on the bike followed by Core Secrets Head to Toe in 30 minutes.

Re: the Turbojam's...I've only done the cardio ones and ab one. I haven't yet done the sculpt one or lower body one, but I plan on it in the next week or so (as a 2nd workout). The Cardios are really fun. I really like the 20 minute one cuz it's perfect for adding short cardio on to my weight training days. The 45 minute ones are fun also. I'm looking forward to the new ones coming out (I think Live series with 30 minute cardios and a couple hour cardios).
 
Lora-I really hope you feel better soon. I know it's hard to feel so down. I have benn there a time or two myself. I am glad you can workout as it does so much for helping when you are depressed. If Ilived closer to you I would send one of my cleaning crew over to clean your house :) Thanks for the turbo jam info. I think I am going to order one.


Sabrina-Thanks for the well wishes for my son tomorrow. I am beyond thrilled!

Terri! ~ I'm sorry I skimmed the thread so quickly that I missed the part about your son and his CD release. Best of luck! You all deserve something good after all the rotten luck! Have fun and we can't wait to hear all about it.

Marietta ~ Yes, please post your treadmill hill workout. I'm always trying to find ways to spice up my treadmill workouts. I recently downloaded cutie pie Sean O'Malley to my iPod for another variation on an interval workout. His voice is so soothing! :) As for the videos, I'm not sure which way I'll go. Maybe I'll look into Turbo Jam as well.

Sabrina ~ I know I hate when I don't get up at 5A to workout because then I have this dread factor the rest of the day. Believe you me I'd rather be working out, but you know, the family... Yesterday, I started carving pumpkins at 3:30P and started cleaning up at 7P. Can you believe I'm not done. I did all the poking for the stencils, so i still have to carve/cut today. This year we have one Buzz Lightyear, Jesse, and scary pumpkin face. We have one more, I think I'll do a black cat or something.

I'm Back...I really made it back today.
I ran about 3.5 miles (give or take) at lunch today and then just added on a little bit of lower body work. I'm feelin like my old self again. My running buddies said they can't even tell I've been sick...I like that!!

Terri - Have a ball at your son's CD release party...cannot wait to hear all about it! I just love BodyMax...last workout I did before I got sick.

Dallas Darling - I will get those workouts typed out. They look pretty darn good to me. I think you'll like em.

Nicole - Hope you have fun at your parties!!

Lora - Working out soothes the soul like nothing else I can think of...

I have had my Dad visiting and have had a busy week.
Wed. was a rest day
Thurs. HCExtreme Interval Circuits no st.,IMax3 intervals7,8,&9,Push&Pull upper 2sets, HSch abs &st.
Today was Kpc/L&G Premix Circuit,no abs or st,KPC combo #1 that was missing followed by KPC leg presses,KMax segment2,3,4,then L&G floorwork and sr.
I am hoping to do another upper circuit workout tomorrow and get in some abs. I am really liking doing these.

Terri have fun with your sons CD release party

Lora, you asked about circuits after S&H rotation. I usually do these for a week. Sometimes I will go for two and maybe add some other endurance work in. The circuits really help me lean out after a really heavy rotation. I also find them fun for a change.

Marietta, no I am not out of town, just incredibly busy w/ company and grandchildrens play.
