Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Friday November 11

Morning Everyone -

This morning I did Slim Series Mix It Up.

Nicole - How's your body feeling? I'm feeling pretty sore right about now! I guess the minimal sleep over the last 2 days is not helping my muscles recover.

I won't discuss my job today, as I don't want to be negative. I'm really glad it's Friday. I haven't had much time to check up on the threads to see how everyone is. I did skim it briefly.

Terri - If you get an Slim Series, I'd get Tear It Up. I think you'd like that one.

I couldn't get into the doctors yesterday as he was in surgery all day and only in a half a day today and I can't go in the middle of the day, so I go in on Monday for this cyst. I also started my period again yesterday. That makes 2 in 1 month along with migraines and all. Don't know what's up with that!

Good Morning All!

Was up kind of late last night because my dd had a friend stay over. They weren't being bad, but I could hear them giggling which seemed like forever. LOL!

Lora ~ You and Nicole are really getting me interested in your workouts! :)

Susan ~ I did see those moon boots, but dh didn't think it was a good idea. He ended up going with me which was a big help. We finished my dd yesterday. My dh ordered a digital camera and dry erase board (she like's to play school) on-line. We also had gotten her roller blades and a dance mat yesterday. Now I can concentrate on all the little stuff for them and the "hard" adults. ;-)

Today is a 30 minute interval run, core max, and SM. I may substitute Core Secrets - ab assault, but if it doesn't seem hard enough I'll go back to CM.

Is it getting cold by any of you? I woke up last night to put an extra blanket on the bed. BRRRR!

Today is my REST day!! I say a MUST for me!!I think later today I will do cool it off ( my stretch dvd.) (I have NEVER done it before)

Lora I have been little sore every day in muscles that I have not in a LONG time. I find that now that I am doing a pure SS rotation I am NOT as bored as I thought I would be?? I am liking it better each day. I enjoy not having to do those MEC (mad equip. changes):7 and also ALL those reps...........they are quite challenging!!

Dallas I think these are a really good change from Cathe. I know when I go back to Cathe she will really shock my body:D Fyi Sometime beachbody has a 25% off sale.

Terri I can't wait to hear about your first SS workout??? I tell ya Tone it up really got me the other day :7

Lora tell me about Turbo jam I am tempted to get it??? or do you like yoga booty ballet better???

Sabrina I hope you find that magazine???

Hey Marietta how did your run go yesterday? Do you run outside?? If so is it getting cold??

Oh Dallas I am going to look into getting the kids one of those DDR mats. You know the kind that goes with either xbox or ps2. I am researching it right now I may get 2 mats because you can have like dance contests??? Also a lot of people for vf use them for exercise haha.

Would'nt you guys love that.....Today I am going to dance for 30min. ha ha. I think they might have fun with it?


Also for your dd mine like anything crafty!! For my dd6 birthday. I got a cute magnet jewelrey kit. She loved making it and loves wearing the jewelry. I found it a Walmart.

Also my kids LOVE our magnet connect. You know they are magnets that you connect and make things. Kinda like playing with leggo's but funner..

Hope this give you some ideas. I will keep you posted with any new ideas.

Hi Ladies,
Today is suppose to be a run and Bootcamp. I am going to try one of the slim series dvd's that I picked up at target yesterday. Nicole I gather you read my post from last night :) I will try the one you suggested.
Lora-I bid on Tear it up late last night on ebay. If I win then I will have 3 oot of the series since I got two at target. It is actullay two in one package and was 19.99. Tone it up and shape it up I think are the names.
Dallas-Maybe try your target for the set I got. Also there is 2 tear it ups on ebay:) I only bid on one so you might want to bid on the other :)

I actually slept 6 hours through last night. I can handle that :) The situation with the family has became even nuttier. They have now stooped to sending me certified letters which are basically threats. Why can't they just leave me alone and stop making me the bad guy because I am helping my dad! Jerry Springer material for sure!

Susan, Sabrina, Diane Sue, marietta-I hope you all are doing fine. Marietta, I posted last evening that I only did one BSB dvd per your sugestion:)

Hello Everyone!!

I did IMAX 3 this morning. I'm going to do something else but I havn't decided what I will do just yet. I do think I am going to do biceps and triceps, but I also think I'll add some more cardio...perhaps RS.

I am off work today for Veteran's day. I'm going to meet my mom for lunch in a few hours and I'm going to make my MIL a birthday card because today is her birthday. As for the rest of the weekend...I'm gonna play it by ear.

Lora - I hope you are not keeping your thoughts to yourself on my account. Please say whatever is on your heart...if work is not going well so be it...there is not need for you to keep it inside. I did said "think" positive, but trust me I know how hard that can be. We're here to listen...positive or negative.

Dallas - Sounds like you've got it all together....one of these years that will be me.

Nicole - When I run during lunch, I do go outside. We did run about 4 miles yesterday. They guy I ran with ran me pretty hard, but I like it like that. It is getting cooler here, but I happen to love running in cooler weather. I used to hate it, but that's an obstacle that I've learned to overcome. I will run outdoors all winter unless it's snowing or raining and if the temps fall below 20 or so.

Terri - Let me know what you think about those workouts...I'm interested in your thoughts. Were you okay with cutting back on the arm work? My thoughts are that the arms are small muscles groups and you really have to be careful not to overtrain them. It doesn't take a lot as long as it's a quality workout.

Well, I'm sending Core Secrets back to Collage. What a disappointment! I ended up doing the whole thing thinking it's got to get better/harder, nope. So, I did CM#1 right after. It's a good thing Collage takes opened DVDs back. I also did a 40 minute interval run instead of 30.

Terri ~ Gosh, I am so sorry about your family. Why are they putting you in the middle like this! Just terrible!:(

Marietta ~ Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I'm not sure I have it "all" together. ha ha. I try! ;-) Um, you're going to do more cardio after Imax 3. I bow down! :D

Nicole ~ Our target has the lamest selection of workout DVDs, besides the new Cathe step and DVDs. ;-) I'll keep my eyes open though. Maybe Wal-mart might have them.

OK, got to run to the grocery store while the two older kids are at a playdate. Shopping with one is like a vacation! :7

Ok here is my review of Tone it up...It says it is a full body cardio intensive workout. I found that cardio wise it was not that hard. However it was working my muscles in a different way then Cathe does and I could feel it. Nicole-the outer thigh work on the floor work burnt me bad! SHe does lots of lunges and functional fitness moves like biceps with lunges or squats and tris and shoulders doing leg work at the same time. Then on to the floor for inner thighs and chest and pushups and outer thighs and abs. I did sweat but I know my heart rate was not near as high as a run or cathe cardio. All in all I liked it and think it is great for switching things up! I will let you know how I feel tomorrow:) It will be great for a easier workout day or as I am doing a second easier workout after doing a hard one the same day. Tomorrow I will try shape it up and let ya all know what I think:)

Good afternoon
I am feeling much better today no migraine:) Yesterday was KPc w/u and cardio(no Stretch) S&H back and shoulders, Core Max #1 then S&hback st.
Today was HC Extreme #2 then I Max 3 intervals 1 & 2, S&H legs w/ calves done two times and st. I may get in some floor work later. I went to pick up my granddaughter and wash the car this am. I am going table shopping again w/ my son this evening. I put off the S&H lower a day from my planned workout. Even though I said working out with a migraine helps, that is usually cardio. Extra heavy lifting kind of makes me see stars and feel dizzy. If I can get through it I am much improved. I will push through most anything though.

Lora I would give the new position time. You may really get along very well with the new people.

Nicole I think your present ideas sound good. My granddaughter, 9 years, is hard to buy for. She mainly loves reading. We try to find things to keep her active. I bought her a scrapbook set, knit your own bear or purse set, and an American girl dvd.. She likes doing workouts with me, but apparently at home it is mainly reading. That is not a bad thing though.

Terri I enjoyed your mini review:7 You will feel it tommorrow}( I know what you mean cardio wise I am missing IMAX3 I just love that one. What a lot of people do with SS is put them imbetween cardio. (Debbie Siebers even recommended it!!) Tear it up has the most cardio in the series. Also I think SI6 also had a little bit more cardi??? But I do have to say my heartrate does stay up there with these??? JUst like when I do leaner legs??? Oh did you use your own music??? If not I think you should!! It makes the workout go so much better. :D

Diane Sue my kids enjoy reading to!! My 10 year old is currently reading the Chasing the Falconer series by Gordon Korman (highly recommended by teacher) It's about 2 kids who's parents go jail for treason, and kids are trying to prove they are innocent!! There are 6 books in the series, and I am buying them up rather quickly. So maybe your Granddaughter may like these???

Nicole ~ Somehow I missed your ideas for dd. Those are good ones. Thanks! She is very much into crafts. I've given that idea to several aunts/uncles. I just feel like there's not a whole lot of toys for her this year. I guess she's crossing over to the big league! ;-) :(

Diane Sue ~ Wow, some workouts for having migraines! I'm in awe! I'd probably hit the snooze button and pull the covers over my head! LOL!

Terri ~ I will sign on tomorrow just to read your review! Can't wait! What did you think of the music?

Marietta ~ I took a peak at your picture trail again. Oh my, was that competition photo always there?! You look awesome!
