Morning Ladies -
This morning I did Sweat 5-6 from Power 90 Masters. I did aerobics during the yoga part in the warmup and ran in between moves when Tony explained stuff to make it harder. I was surprised my HR was at 150-160 and this is like a steady state workout. I either worked it a bit harder today, or it's time for me to increase my aerobics on intervals. I listened to the newer ShineDown CD and it was good. I also did Ab Ripper 200. I wanted to do some yoga, but ran out of time.
I'm going to start incorporating recovery weeks in my training just so I can do yoga! I got some really good DVDs recently and have a few more coming. I just rec'd Altar of the Heart with Tilak Pyle shot in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It looks good. It's not a real strenuous practice, but looks to be a bit more than just the typical stretching type of yoga. I also ordered a 5 DVD set by Mark Blanchard that is called the Sedona Experience. A couple DVDs are 80-90 minutes and he is pretty advanced. I have an older tape of his that is 90 minutes and he actually does a full split on the tape. I still remember the day I did that!! I haven't tried it for a while, since I haven't really been allowed to do a lot in Power Yoga. I'm just going to practice modifying and try to work into it slowly. I also got some stuff on Overstock.com for really low prices. Have you ladies ever shopped there? This was a first for me.
Dallas- I slept okay the last 2 nights, but I didn't get in bed until 10:00 pm, so I still only got 4.5 hours of sleep. I'll try to get more over the weekend. That's about all I ever average during the week. I don't feel okay if I only get 3.5 though.
Marietta - yes, music is good for the soul. I always have been a music lover!
Susan - take it easy. I hope you start feeling better soon.
Terri - Yes, I also have P90X. I'm planning on doing a rotation in the near future. I wanted to play around with my P90 Masters first.
Charlotte - no word from you yet! Did you make it back from the concert?
My pain has been flaring really bad this week. I don't know if it's the heavy lifting aggravating me or the more agressive yoga I did the other day. I'll have to keep an eye on it.
Has anyone here ever tried Gliding? I'm thinking about buying it, but I'm on the fence. I need more to crosstrain with for my aerobics. I feel so fat! I'll be glad when I'm off this Prednisone. It's making me eat more and I think I may be retaining water also. I feel like a blimp!
Have great workouts. I'll try to check in from work (depending on my boss's whereabouts, etc.)
ETA: I rec'd my Collage catalog yesterday, so everyone that gets one should be receiving it. I'm on page 34 (in case you want to see who babbles on here daily).
