Hardcore Hottie Maniacs for 9/3

Ok, this is scary. I'm really liking leg day for some weird reason. I had an excellent workout this morning. I'm really liking this rotation.

1:30 minutes rest between each set and exercise.

LEGS
Squats:
115# - 6/6 (up 5#)
105# - 10 (up 10#)
95# - 12/12 (up 10#)
***These felt good. Had a bit of a hard time going to parellel with 115# but I feel I did well with it none the less.

Leg Press Station:
210# - 6/6 (up 10#)
190# - 10 (up 10#)
180# - 12/12 (up 10#)
***LOVE this exercise. I feel so strong with it.

Static Lunges:
100# - 6/6 (up 5#)
95# - 10 (up 10#)
85# - 12/12 (up 5#)
***This one felt good too. Legs were on fire by the last set.

Leg Extensions:
95# - 12/12 (up 5#)

Hamstring Curls:
57.5# - 12/12 (up 2.5#)

Leg Press Station Calf Raises:
210# - 4 sets of 15. (Up 10#) Did one set with toes front, one set with toes in, one set with toes out and one more set with toes front.
***These burned like crazy after each set of 15.

ABS
Body Max 2 Ab Work
***Did not want to do the stupid ab work they have in this rotation so I will do plank work and Cathe's ab work.

That is all...

Hey you guys:D

I'm back! called in this morning reguesting 1/2 day. I was tired from all that dog gone driving. I'm just getting back from a nice long walk, 2 1/2 hours, needing to jump start me workout. I'll talk too you guys shortly.

Debbie: Nice leg workout;)

Did 5 mile run pushing the Boss in the stroller. Haven't done it the whole summer as it was too hot for him and Nick was home from school. He started school today and Boss won't start until Monday so I figured I'd take him for the last run. WAS NOT EASY! My lower body is sore already. Now I know why I hate running in that park. My shins were freaking killing me the first 2 miles mainly due to the uneven pavement.

Debbie-AWESOME workout! Did you pass the test?

WD- Wow....You're a very busy grandma! I do admire you very much. :) If you don't mind my asking, where'd your daughter adopted the child from? I've been thinking about adopting myself but it's so expensive. I really don't get why you have to "buy" a child for more than 15K. To me, to adopt, you pay a small fee, etc but that's a huge amount of money. I know it's worth the money definitely but I have a problem with the amount.

Linda- Did the kiddos start school yet?

Anyway, everyone have a great day!

Flexit - Well, I suppose if I had my car I would have passed it. I'm such a dummy. I scheduled myself (online) for a car driving test, not a bike test. So now I have to reschudule and go back. I was none too happy yesterday. Nice workout!!!

Teddygirl - How was your vacation? I'm glad you are back!

Where is everyone???

Debbie: vacation was nice, really did me good:) I ate and ate and ate:eek: I did NOT........ I repeat I did NOT step on my scale I can see all the weight I picked up in me thighs and in my back. I lived on cake, pies, BBQ ribs and fast foods, Yowza! I really enjoyed myself. I'm on my way to Dillard's to get back my $$$$, ttyl. BTW I really appreciate you missing me, girl.;) You are alright with me.

Debbie- Sorry to hear about that. I'm laughing right now but at the same time am sorry to hear you didn't take the test. LOL Don't get mad at me. :p

Why has it been so slow lately? Hope it picks up soon.

Teddygirl - Of course I missed you! I'm glad you had such a good vacation. I ate all that bad stuff, too, when I was on vacation. That's the only way to do a vacation! Glad they only come around about once or twice a year. LOL!

Lisa - I'll get it done. I was just upset that I took a day off from work for nothing. But I did have a good day even though it was a waste. LOL!

Afternoon Maniacs,

Had an early doctor's appointment this morning. Well, today was the first leg day in this rotation and you know you are in trouble when your hammies hurt by the end of it. Took all I had to go ahead and do the cardio portion. :p

Superset A
DB Squats
8/8/8 - 52's **Do not like to do squats w/ DB, they get in my way and are hard to keep holding, will switch to BB next time.
1 Arm Overhead Press
8/8/8 - 31's**Started first set with 32's but wasn't happen so dropped to 31 mid way, amazing the difference 1# makes w/ shoulders**

Superset B
DB Reverse Lunge
6/6/6 - 42's
BSS
12/12/12 - 30's
***arms were shaking by the end of this superset from holding the DB even with my versagripps, was also huffing and puffing through this one, I hate BSS's**

Superset C

1 leg SB Curls
8/8/8
Spiderman Climbs
12/12/12
**it was nice to lose the weights here!***

Then cardio at a 60/60 ration for six rounds using Power ups from ASC. Was going to change up the cardio today but legs were fried and just didn't have it in me.

Debbie - Sorry you didn't get to take the test. Bright side is you have more time to prepare!! Awesome workout! You are definitely hardcore all the way!

Teddy - Nice to have you back! Sounds like you had a really nice time!

Lisa - Okay, now I can't imagine running five miles while pushing somebody. 5 miles by myself is hard enough! Nice job! DS went to school today, only half day today. DD starts next Tuesday!

Linda - Excellent workout girl! You are rockin' with this rotation. I cannot believe you did one arm presses with 31's. Holy crap! Nice going!

Hey Maniacs!!!

Getting ready to workout here in a few. Late posting. Hubby working at home.
Gonna work chest/triceps.

Debbie,

That is one amazing Leg workout!!! Gosh..getting right on up there, aren't ya???? Sorry you have to wait and do test another day. I know that bummed you out, but now you have something to look forward to again.

Lisa,

Your an animal!!! Endless supply of energy.

Linda,

Fantastic workout!!! I got alot of doc appts coming up here soon myself.

Teddygirl,

Glad to have you back!

Oh, Debbie, that's a bummer...the dmv isn't really a fun place to hang out; sucks to have to go back, although i guess if you have an appointment you don't have to wait, right? I was there recently (no appt) to get a new license...there were all these kids there whose parents apparently thought the dmv is the equivalent of the park, and allowed their little munchkins to act accordingly.

Dang, my shoulders are still sore from yoga a couple days ago. I want to do biceps and triceps and abs later...i guess as long as i don't directly work my shoulders all will be well.

Toasty, that's cool your husband can work at home; that probably makes things more convenient when he's feeling not so great from the treatments, or are those all taken care of?

Meals for today:

Low Calorie day

M1: ON whey protein shake w/4 strawberries & 2 oz. banana (pre workout)
M2: Same as M1 (post workout)
M3: Banana Nut Bread BSN w/ 1/2 c. oats & 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed
M4: 4 oz. turkey on one slice Ezekiel bread; 1 tbsp. raw almonds
M5: Coffee yogurt; Chocolate fudge BSN protein drink
M6: Grilled garlic chicken; sauteed veggies w/2 tsp. parm cheese; peach
M7: 2 whole eggs, 2 egg whites

1885 calories (1800 is goal)
44 g. fat - 21%
203 g. protein - 43%
169 g. carbs - 36%

I hate my low calorie days. It is so hard to get the right foods together for the correct macros. I'm not looking forward to M6 or 7. I'M SO SICK OF CHICKEN AND EGGS!!!

Debbie - Thanks! I have to really push to get those last reps on the 1 arm presses. But that's what it's all about right? For hoots and hollers I entered the Turbulence Training 12 Transformation challenge.

Workout today was 5 miles on the treadmill and I burned 547 calories. Then I did CTX back and shoulders two times. I finished off with Tracey's Total Body segment of her Parts dvd doing overhead's with the med ball instead of the chest presses, skipped the pilates and did the yoga segent.
Total calories burned was 960. 547 cardio and 413 strength and yoga.

Lisa, dd is just starting the adoption process. Finding a reputable place that does not just take your money is something to look at. she figures that it will take awhile. Checked out some people in out church that has went through this process. They have a meeting about this process set for December. She is leaning more toward international adoption. I do believe this will cost more because there is time in the other country as well as expenses for the Mother and leaving the country. Also there is medical things to think about in case insurance will not cover. Domestic I think would be less but you have to worry about open adoption. I would hate to fall in love with a child only to lose it because the parent decided that they wanted it back. There are pograms to help with costs.

Still trying for the earlier workouts, this is much better :)

Lisa- did they have fried oreo's where you went? I went to the boardwalk on vacacion a few weeks ago and there's not a single healthy thing to eat.. I kept saying i wanted to try the fried oreo's before I left (even though they seem gross)-- but I managed to do without for the whole weekend lol!

Todays workout got broken up. I dont like to go at it for too long (you know what they say about cortisol and whatnot *pht*).. and I wanted to get my shake in, so there was an hour or so break in btw legs/back and shoulders :)

Legs-
Squats 5 X failure (12/10/8/8/8).. wow, I guess I can go heavier still :-D
Statics 3 X 8
Close Squats 3 X 10
Plies 3 X 10 why do I not feel im getting enough with these and DB???
Step-Ups 3 X 10
HS Curls 3 X failure (10/8/8)

Back-
Str8 Pulldowns 5 X failure (10/9/8/9/9)
OH Pulldowns 5 X failure (10/8/8/8/8)
Pullups 3 X failure (5/2/2) w/ negatives on last two sets)

Shoulders-
BB Presses 5 X failure (12/10/8/7/6)
Front Raises 3 X failure (15/10/9)
Lat Raises 3 X failure (12/10/8)
