Yesterday was yoga x. I made it through 1 hr and 10 minutes, it's just too long. I need to break it up into 2 different days. Calorie burn was 391. Today is chest/back and a run. It's raining now, so I hope it clears later. This is my last week of the 1st month of P90x next week is a recovery week. So far I like this program, I just need to clean up my eating. I've eaten out more than I wanted last week, had more salty foods, and snuck quite a few treats. Some of my pants are tight, so I know it's time to step it up.

I am getting ready to head out for my mammogram. Thought I would go ahead and post my workout for today. I started with Kettlebell Way 2 Empire State joint mobility, then a 26min. 2 mile run on the treadmill burning 235 calories. I then did Empire State kettlebell workout. During the bonus snatch segment I followed Beth the first two minutes with the high pulls/snatch, during the second two minutes I just did swings. This workout was 48 minutes and I burned 465 calories. I also did some plyo jumps and lunges during the 1 minute rests. As much as I was sweating you would have thought the calorie burn would be better

I followed this with Amy's Kettlebell Dynamics abs segment using a 20# kettlebell and stretch. I finished with Tracey's Yoga Solutions post run mix(this always makes my arms and shoulders tired holding the down dog position for so many minutes straight) When I was done with this I did 3 sets of the M&F Hers Mag foam roller stretch shoulder/chest roll w/ passive kneeling chest stretch to help loosen the shoulders back up. I added some hamstring rolls and hip flexor rolls in. Total calories burned today was 872 165 max HR 35% fat.

Theresa, I love how I feel after Yoga X but it is long. When I did the P90X rotation before I would have to stop a lot of the time to take children to school and come back to finish up the last few minutes.
Later I just did around 20 minutes then would forward to the last 36 minutes which got in the floor work and stretching at the end.
 
Today was day one of Meso 3 and it was Chest and Back done push pull style for 4 sets, 8 reps with a minute rest between every set. So do chest rest a minute, do back rest a minute, then back to chest and so on. Problem was my low back was aching this morning which is never a good thing on back day:confused::confused::confused::confused:.

Hi all! Since I worked out yesterday I'm taking today as my rest day. Had to take my mom to the doc's this a.m.

Linda - Looks like an excellent workout. I'm looking forward to meso 3. I am so sore from my first 2 meso 2 workouts. Are you doing the ply legs with meso 3?
 
Where is everyone today?? I went for my mammogram this morning. This is my second time to this facility and I see why my doctor likes it so much. It is in the same area by the hospital that I used to use but the staff is so nice. Thye provide wipes if you wear deoderant, deoderant for when you are done, coffee while waiting. Loads of hand sanitizer. An small nicely decorated waiting areas with bathroom facilities. When you leave you get to pick out a long stemmed rose from the vase.
I ran errands afterwards. Came home to look at my e mail and found another friend has a family member with cancer:confused: This just tears my heart out. I pray things will be ok for him. He is only 28.

Debbie, I am gearing up for Meso 2. You started out with some heavy weights. Meso two is probably my favorite next to Plyo legs:) My plans may change this weekend so I may take some extra days off anyway. My legs are sore. I guess because of all of the plyo I have done and the muscle definition I did this week. Not much of a recovery week LOL
 
Hi Everyone,
I've been busy today. I was off, but had tons to do.

This morning I did Stephanie Vittorino's Body Sculpt/Cardio workout followed by Amy Bento's 5-Day Get Fix Mean Lean Sculpt. Workout was 60" and I burned 507 calories.

That's all I had time for as I had an early morning doctor appt for my neck/back. They want me to have massotherapy but insurance won't pay for it, so I doubt I can have it.

I've still been suffering in pain with my back and neck which has exacerbated from my car accident back in July.

I'm off tomorrow also, but I have to go to a meeting regarding my Godparents at the Nursing Home.....so I'll be busy again.

See everyone in the morning.

So - are you ladies liking STS and not finding it boring? I'm gearing up to start a rotation some day soon!

Debbie - Yeah, I am doing Plyo Legs. The first one will be on Wednesday! Wish me luck! Oh and congratulations on the interview, hope something works out!
