Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did IWMBB (Val's I want my bikini body) 3.0 workout 1A. I did not take breaks and did a Cathe stretch for the cooldown. Workout was 1 hour and I burned 400 calories. Max HR was 140.

Today was STS Meso 3, Disc 35, Plyo Legs. Had a pretty good workout but my right knee popped when I was doing the tuck jumps. I was doing good with them too. Got to rep 20 and POP! It hurt for a few minutes, I worked it out and finished the workout. It's not hurting at all now so not sure what that was all about?

Love these leg workouts from STS. They are fun and just fly by.

Lora-that is a nice calorie burn. How do you like the Valerie workouts?

Debbie-I had something similar happen w/ a step workout the other day. My knee started really bothering me (not quite a pop) and then it was gone...weird  I have to say it is much better since I started w/ the glucosamine. Have you started taking it yet? It took about 3 weeks before I noticed a difference. How's your back feeling today?

Yesterday was cardio and I did HIIT sprints on the bike (8 min wu, 17 rounds of 15on/45off, 5 min cool down) and then finished w/ 10 min solutions cardio kickbox and abs. Time was 41 min and I burned 465 calories (not including the abs). The adjusment to my HR monitor put me back in the realistic range :D Although I felt like I was burning that many calories, I knew it was too good to be true.

This morning I did Bosu Xplode Burst with Mindy Mylrea 60 minutes, 436 calories, Max HR 159 level 1 hr 4:24 minutes, level 2 16:28 , level 3 39:38 Then I did Xplode Burn circuits 1,2,& 3 cd/stretch 36 minutes, 223 calories Max hr 147, level 1 hr 12:15 minutes, level 2 12:58, level 3 11:36. Total workout time was 1 hr 36 minutes. Calories burned 659.
I had to take the girls to school this morning or I would have added some extra stretching.

Lora, nice workout:D

Debbie, I am glad your knee is not hurting. I have had that happen before. Usually would become a little more cautious the rest of the workout and no problems later.

Theresa, that is still a nice calorie burn. Good workout.

Good morning -

I had a very good leg workout (PLB) yesterday and did about 25 minutes (not including warm up/cool-down) of additional cardio/leg work last night. I’m going to split PUB into chest/back today and also do … something else. Cardio or balance work -maybe some floor work. It depends on my energy level. TTOTM is in gear again (YAY) and has been on and off since LAST TTOTM  Kinda takes it out of me. I’ll see how I feel later.

Theresa :p :D :D ~ Homophones! (Good one. - Thought about making an “ET” joke here, but not sure anyone would get it). Thanks for sharing about the strength differences you experience. I can’t figure mine out - don’t know that it would matter if I could, but a couple months ago (don’t remember exactly what I was doing), I realized even my left oblique is a bit weaker than my right. I have a better mind/muscle connection on my right side - can feel peak contractions and focus better, stuff like that. Is that what you meant by “precise?” Just curious. I thought maybe being a lefty in a right hand dominant world had something to do with it. But if your left side is strongest, I guess that theory doesn’t necessarily float. When DS was born I took to carrying him on my right side so my left hand was free. Maybe that’s it. Still, now when I play soccer with him, I even kick better with my right leg. Dunno. Help me, kb’s  - By the way, that's still a great burn for that amount of time. Bike sprints will do it to you, huh?

Lora - I’d been wondering about you and was relieved to see your post from yesterday. Sorry things are so tough right now. Wish there was something helpful/comforting I could say but I can’t imagine what. Definitely not, “life just sucks sometimes.” Anyway - you're still kickin' it with the workouts  ! I’ve missed your posts.

Diane Sue - Yes, what you said about windmills makes perfect sense. Something similar happens to me. I feel like two different people from one side to the other. Only of them knows what the heck they’re doing  I wonder what it is with the stomach stuff. Mine’s still moody, too. A LOT better than it was, but I still get waves that aren’t so good … at all. I've watched clips of that Mindy workout. It looks tough :D.

Linda - I’ll say an extra prayer for you and your appointment today. Hope you get some answers (that you like).

Debbie - I don't like popping (or other unusual sounds) coming from joints, either. Kind of scary. Glad it's feeling better now. I love the Plyo workouts. Very fun :D

Cheryl - Hope your day goes well :D

Have a good morning.

Lori

Lori-I would have totally got the ET reference :p And I'm glad you had a good workout. I'm also sorry that flo is coming to ruin the fun again, especially w/ the amount of problems you have been having lately. You may look into bioidentical progesterone cream to take during the 2nd half of your cycle. I would talk to a doc (of course) but I've heard a lot of good things. I'm waiting for all my lab work to come back and I'm sure I will be starting that soon. I wanted to give the thyroid meds a bit of time to work on their own to see if that eased any of my ttotm stuff.

Diane Sue-Mindy is a machine on the BOSU. I love/hate her :D And quite a nice calorie burn yourself. Did you survive the storms yesterday? We had one coming right for us and at the last minute, it veered right. Must have been the prayers :)

Hey-can anyone tell me what is going on w/ all the talk of deleting posts, reporting posts, etc....

Hi Everyone!

Yup, one step (day) closer to Friday - TG!! I didn't go to my seminar last night - played hookie and went home to bed. I'm really glad because I was tired and didn't want to miss my morning workout! Today I did Rhythmic Step - not my favorite - but still a good workout. I have no idea how many cals I burned, but I was drenched with sweat when I was done....

Lora - I wanted to let you know that I will keep you in my prayers. About a year and a half ago DH and I were in a similar situation. At the end of 2008 I lost my job of 15 years. I took another job to keep the bills payed, but it was AWEFUL!! I was working for a TERRIBLE practice and miserable. I had to stay at that job for 11 mos (which seemed like forever!). My DH also was having troubles with work and actually lost his truck. We had one house on the market (which will finally be selling next month) and almost lost our home as well. All I can say is PRAY and just have faith. I prayed my head off every day (still do) after my workout during meditation and it worked for me. Since that time things have gotten much better. I have a new job which I really like and am back to making good money. DH is still having difficulties with the economy being so bad, but we try to take things day by day.....I will keep you in my prayers and wish for better days for you and your husband.

Lori - Nice leg work yesterday. I love PUB and am a little jealous that I couldn't fit it in last Saturday! :D I hope you are having a wonderful day as well!!

Debbie - You are killing me!! LOL, j/k. This week rotation has been very difficult and I'm still sore from Monday! I have B&G planned for tomorrow morning and hope I can make it through that workout. I have had a similar "pop" in my knees and my ankles from time to time, and I'm not sure what to make of it either. I figure if the pain goes away.....oh well. I hope you are having a good day!

Theresa - Too bad about the HR monitor. I say - put it back!! LOL. Have a great day!

Linda - I hope you are having a great day and taking care of those shoulders!! When is the MRI?

Diane Sue - I hope you are getting things back together after those terrible storms! We have all been having some crazy weather lately. What's up with that? Do you have to replace your roof or just have it repaired? I also LOVE Walmart for their great RV section. It's a lot cheaper than Camping World or even most of the on-line sites I have found. Good luck with the clean up and nice workout today!!

Ok....Hi to everyone and anyone I have missed. I have a busy afternoon and lunch is just about over. Have a Happy Thursday. Oh yea, tonight we are putting the new docks in at the lake house which should be quite the event!! Thankfully, we have a lot of help, as just DH and I built them and delivered them, but we have a bunch of people helping us put them in the water and getting them staked down. I should be quite exhausted by the end of today!!

Happy Thursday!
Cheryl

Lora - Nice workout today. I can't believe how many different workouts you have.

Theresa - Yes, I started taking the glucosomine as soon as I got it. Probably about a week now. My knee isn't hurting but I feel something when I go up stairs. That's nothing really new, though, I always have pain when I go up the stairs. And you still have good calorie burns, especially for only 41 minutes. Nice job! About the deletion of posts, I guess someone was complaining about the music in STS Strength and some people said some really rude things. I guess SNM and Cathe are sick of the slams (can't blame them) and are starting to delete posts. I didn't see the post that was deleted and brought to attention on the OD, but it must have been pretty bad. She also mentioned another instructor and I think that's why it got deleted. I don't know about you all, but who notices music when you are lifting weights? I don't unless its my own music on my MP3. Cardio yes, lifting, no.

Diane Sue - Nice workouts again! You really love your cardio, don't you? Good god I could not do that much cardio. I hate doing the piddly workouts I do now! LOL!!!

Lori - Nice leg workout yesterday. Are you sore? I like PLB, I need to get that one out again.

Cheryl - Sorry! I don't mean to be killing you! LOL!!! I was sore yesterday after doing MIS on Tuesday. Killer workout! I'm looking forward to Drill Max on Saturday. :D

Linda - Did you get your results back yet?

Okay just back from the MRI. It was an interesting experience to say the least. Unfortunately I guess I don't get to know anything until my doctor's appointment on Monday.

Saw my massage therapist yesterday and he worked on the plethora of other ailments I was having like back, hip flexor and neck. So today I thought I should go a little easier so I did LIS cardio only premix. Wanted a longer low impact workout but DH didn't tell me until I got up this morning that he was leaving for work 15 minutes early which meant I had to have DD ready earlier(he drives her to school) grrr!:mad::mad: Tummy was once again iffy after the cardio but has come around since.

Lora
- nice to see you back.

Debbie - Ouch on the knee. All I can say is "it sucks getting old". LOL!

Theresa - I admire your sprints on the bike. I can not ride a stationary bike to save my own life.

DianeSue - Nice workout as always. Really make me want to check out those BOSU workouts.

Lori
- Hope you find the energy your hoping for.

Cheryl - Nice job on playing hookie! Always more fun to do what you WANT to do!

Linda-glad you dialed it back a notch. Did they use contrast for your MRI? Also, I think I owe you belated bday and anniversary wishes....yes? And my legs were on FIRE during those sprints......

Debbie-I am so curious to see if the stuff helps :) I REALLY hope it does. And thanks for the clarification on the post thing, I could not figure out what was going on. There are a lot of flamers on the cathe forums, it's like they are just looking to start fights. I really don't get it. And I agree about the music.

Cheryl-YAY for playing hooky :D And being drenched in sweat means you burned over 5,000 calories :p

Theresa - Yup, they used contrasting on the MRI. My shoulder wasn't bothering me this morning, but it is now.:p Thanks for the belated wishes, how was your anniversary. We haven't celebrated ours yet, our schedules have been too busy and my wonky stomach hasn't made me feel like going out.

Linda-I'm glad to hear they used contrast, that will be great to see if there is a tear. did they inject through a vein or inject in your shoulder joint? Our anniversary was technically Monday but we both worked, so we celebrated all weekend. We had a nice one-thanks for asking. Cake lots of cake :p

Did you see Shana's (meowracer) story on the blog.

YAY Shana. :D

Theresa- They injected into the shoulder joint. I am developing a red blotch on top of my shoulder is that normal? Anyway my anniversary was Tuesday, 14 years. Was this your one year anniversary?

Linda-I'm almost positive it's totally normal; A bit of bleeding/bruising from the needle and from adjusting it to get in the joint. I would NOT do any shoulder related work for 48 hours to give it a break. I would say it's normal unless you experience a fever, excessive pain (10 on a scale of 1-10), excessive itching, or swelling (although they did inject in the joint, so inflammation is quite feasible). I would suggest icing it for a bit and taking a pain reliever, but most of all rest and recooperate your poor shoulder ;)

We celebrated our two year anniversary. It seems like a lot longer than that, but we were together 5 years before we got married. YAY for 14 years :)

Hey everyone, I'm just checking in real quick...it's been a long day and week and I've still got much to do. Anywayzers, yesterday I got my first workout of the week in, although I had almost no energy. I did the timesaver premix of the gym style shoulders, back and biceps, and then the abs from Tracey's hi lo med ball. Today was yoga class. Hope you all have a good evening. =)
