Hardcore Fitness Maniacs thank God it's Friday!!!!

I need my rotation taped to my forehead. I did circuit challenge today. No plyo's inbetween cuz I rode the bike instead. Tomorrow is the bicep/tricep/shoulder work, but I still curled with the 40# db's again..alternate style and did 5x's and then 4x's. Feeling weak today too. Just had a hard time and only did 8 for pushups on first try and then 12 on next. Tired, but I feel like I am doing better on the curls so I figure if I am tired curling that then when I am really feeling strong, I can go do the 45's. I know I can do it.

Hi Everybody!

You sure have been a chatty bunch today! This morning I did steady state cardio on the bike - trainer. Only 55 minutes as I ran out of time. No flat yet. Fingers crossed! I wanted to get an early start to work. These tires on my new FJ are "all terrain" MONSTER tires (yup, we got the bigger, cooler tires) but they SUCK when you hit ice. I slid sideways like you wouldn't believe last night. Scared the crap out of me. That has never happened to me before and we've had a Pathfinder, an Xterra, a 4Runner. I think we're gonna get different tires for winter and just use these for summer. So much for all terrain.

Tonight is weights - haven't decided what yet. I might do ME. Haven't done that one in a long time.

Marietta - Thanks! I think you're pretty darn cool yourself!!! :)

Did I tell you guys that our credit card got compromised? And it's the only one we have. We have an ATM card that we can also use as a Visa, but sheesh! Our credit card is through our credit union and they have this company that just watches for people stealing your number and they caught it right away. I had made a purchase at 7:30am online and then 10 minutes later someone made a purchase and then every 10 minutes they made a bunch of purchases - really small ones. But they had also made a purchase the day before. So about 10am this company called to ask if we were making all of these purchases. Luckily we just happened to be off work that morning. I'm so glad they caught it!

Oh my gosh Suz!! I'm glad you were home too...wonder what would have happened otherwise. That happened with my debit card before also, but they sent me another one and fortunately no bad charges were made. I think mine was more because the information was obtained by a hacker. Did you hear about the millions on credit numbers stolen from the TJ Max company...crazy!! Sliding in you vehicle is NO fun....I think you should change tires also.

Char - Excellent on the curls! You are rocking with those biceps of yours!!

Suz - that is scary. It happened to us once as well. I'm not sure why our bank called us on it. It was a transfer through Western Union or one of those companies in the amount of $250. I never transfer money but its not uncommon for us to charge that kind of money on our credit card. Plus it was only a one time thing. They called us and we disputed the charges right away. I never even seen it on our bill. Glad they caught it for you!

Hi ladies! Chatty today! I am so drained from work today. Had not decided what to do regarding my WO (or no WO......), but you ladies are so darn motivating...I think I hear the Rocky theme in my head (and I don't even like that song)...so off to the workout room I go!

Suz-Sent you a PM re:10 week challenge! :) Have you already officially started?

Jen

Hey Maniacs! I got my HRM and used it for my workout!
I did NROL Fatloss 1 workout-B

Warmup-One set all exercises-low weight-no rests

60 sec. rest between sets.
*Superset
Deadlifts-3x12x53
DB incline bench press 3x12x20
*Superset
Bulgarian split squat 3x12x15
Mixed grip lat pulldown 3x12x70
*Superset
Romanian deadlift 3x12x53
SB lateral roll 3x12xbodyweight

Workout was 44 min. burned 180 cals.

Followed by 22 min. alternating 30 sec. interval run on treadmill.
Burned 184 cals.

So all-in-all my workout was 66 min. and I burned 404 calories. Seems high to me, but I'll take it!

Debbie-What heartrate did you put in for your high and low zone? I'm not sure what to put in really. I did 125 and 167. Have no clue what's correct here. I love how the strap actually fits! And the intervals were fun!

Suz-Marietta- I was one of those TJMaxx people that had their card hacked! I rarely go there and the one time I did, they get me. Bank cancelled the cards immediately. I was out of a card for weeks before I got a new one. Be careful on the ice!

Jen-Enjoy your workout!

Lora-Just a plastic screw in the back of the strap and watch. Flat screw driver will do it. Easy. Do it yourselfer.

Gotta get a recovery drink in me. Later...

Dallys- I would like to know how easy it is to change the battery when you get it. I'm perfectly happy with my Mio Sport, however, the DH has to change the batteries cuz it requires taking the back panel off and you have to be careful you don't hit something inside. He always takes a few days to do it.........so I'd like to be able to have one I can change myself. So, does the strap and the monitor both have batteries?? If so, how easy is it to change the batteries on the actual watch? The newest Mio Sport has a chest strap and the pads on the watch to get your HR reading from. That's the one I really want, but it's $180. I really don't have the money to buy anything right now.......although if this Nike one is easy to change - I'd consider spending $50 if I have a good week on Ebay!

Jen -Get crackin' on that workout girl............Rocky's calling.

I did another half hour of low intensity aerobics (only cuz I was in the basement with hardly any room to move --thus the lower intensity). I did my new CIA Kim Miller step workout again. It was more fun the second time. Still not my favorite one....but it's okay.

If someone could help me figure out my zones, I'd appreciate it. I tried that calculator, but my numbers don't sound right.

I'm 47 and my resting heartrate is 58-59. thanks in advance.

Aaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhh!!!!! I just got this box of vitamins in the mail that I didn't order. The order date is the same date that all those charges were made on my credit card. It says that it is my free sample that I ordered and that if I like them I do nothing and $67+ will be charged to my credit card (which we know no longer exists!) and if I don't want them I have to call this number to cancel but that I'm still respondsible for the $6.95 shipping. I guess I have to call my credit union and dispute this charge too. What a pain in the @ss. I'll also call the vitamin company on Monday.

Did you guys watch that Coyote Ugly search? Now they have the new one with the veteran Coyotes. I like that show b/c those girls are in such great shape. It always motivates me. I wonder when the first episode was?

Still gotta go work out.

Finally I am checking in. It has finally wound down here. Today's workout was Amy Bentos Kickbox Extreme minus the bag work, M&F rotation phase 1 week2 shoulders and abs, then Yoga Shatki inversions and supine poses. Then housecleaning. It has been raining so much my dogs ring the bell and then look out at the rain and have second thoughts. I have to push them out the door and wait for them to leave the doorstep. Can't say as I blame them LOL
Workouts yesterday and today were:
Thursday Legs
Quads sissy squat(haven't done in awhile)held 20# 10 reps 3 sets
Leg Extensions Bowflex 160# 10 reps 3 sets (used to do 200#:( )
Hamstring curls Bowflex80# 10 reps 2 sets: 100# 10 reps 1 set
Calves leg press calf raise Bowflex 310# 3 15 reps 3 sets
calls for donkey calf raise, did standing calf raise 35# dumbbells 20 reps 3 sets
Friday shoulders
Dumbbell lateral raise 15# 10 reps 3 sets
Bowflex cable front raise 40# 10reps 3 sets
Bentover lateral raise 15#dumbbells 10 reps 3 sets
Traps dumbbell shrug 15# dumbbells 10 reps 3 sets
Abs incline leg raise 15 reps 3 sets
(machine crunch) Bowflex resisted 160# 15 reps 3 sets

Jen glad you got the motivation.

Suz, that is sad about your card. Glad you were home to get the call. That has never happened to us yet. I once had a credit card company call but was checking out dh using a card in Iraq :) Be careful out on those roads.

Debbie every time you mention that CC I think I need to get that one. I just keep holding off for the new one. Great calorie burn.

Charlotte, I bookmarked that clothing site. They do have some cute stuff and good prices. Shipping does not sound to bad either. Funny what you do when fil is gone. You will enjoy your new home so much.

Maeghan, glad you got in a workout today. I hope whatever is bothering you gets better. Sounds like you are getting back on the right track.

Diane Sue - great workouts! That is so cool that you trained your dogs to ring the bell to go outside. So smart! Don't you just love abs on the Bowflex? That's definitely one thing I miss.

I remember DH used to get calls when I would be in Europe using our credit card all the time. :) We always appreciated it. I'm glad they watch out for us. Not sure I always appreciated them telling on me!

Suz, abs on the Bowflex are great. Funny about training the dogs to ring the bell. Sometimes I feel like they are ringing it to go play. Let them out and then they ring the bell, ignore them and they ring it incessantly. Usually they do go do something though or arechecking out something outside. The bell can actually irritate me at times. But I look at their faces and let them out anyway just in case. Point is they do have it down. Ring the bell and the door opens.
