Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Oktober 2024

Wow, October already. Yikes. It seems like I just got off for summer break. Unreal.

The knot in my back was pretty bad last night, I had my husband rub it out a bit and then I heated it for a while. It's better today but I didn't think boxing or lifting would be a good thing. I did my PT exercises and then walked on my treadmill.

Walk was 31 minutes, burned 203 calories, went. 1.53 miles, did 3594 steps and HR was 118/135.

Roxie - I got two new eyeshadows from Ulta this past weekend: That's Taupe and Feelin' Bubbly by ColourPop. I love them both. Very pretty colors in the pallets. They were on sale, too!!

Jolie - They moved me to another office and the desk in there is way too small for my standing desk thing. So no, I'm not standing at work. I never really did much anyways, it's not comfortable. I do get up at least once an hour to walk around and stretch. Nothing seems to help. It's feeling ok today, but probably by 4 I'll be in pain again. Hate this.

Diane - Is Kickbox #6 new or is that the one I did and didn't care for some weeks back? And I don;t remember Kickbox #2 - #5, where are they? I'm just wondering why she named it #6. LOL! Good job with your workout! Glad you were able to get one in. Maybe you should at least go get an X-ray, it wouldn't hurt. Maybe that will give you some indication on how to fix the problem. Sorry you are going through that. I feel as frustrated with these stupid knots I keep getting. I'm glad your brother is ok, too. What state does he live in?

Roselyn - Nice workouts! Are you still cutting hair?

Belinda - Nice job with biceps and thanks for starting a new thread!

Have a great day everyone!!

Today I had an excellent workout. I started with a 4 mile run on my elliptical, Interval Mode ( 2 minutes uphill high incline alternating with 2 minutes low incline low resistance ) 41 minutes. I have not done this in years, and it felt amazing to do high intensity cardio again. Next, I did RAW Upper Body Finisher Arms and Shoulders. Workout was 14 minutes.

Front Curls- 15's (2 rounds of each circuit)(30 seconds)
Lateral Raises- 8's
Lying Triceps Ext.- 12's

Hammer Curls- 15's
Upright Rows- 12's
Kickbacks- 10's

Bicep Curls with a twist- 15's
Front Raises- 10's
Seated Overhead Triceps Ext.- 12's

I finished with 2 sets of leg extensions, 30# x 24 reps for a burnout

Debbie, sorry to hear you have that darn knot again. It went away for the summer while you were out of work so it must be the sitting in front of the computer. I hope you feel better soon. Maybe get some running on the treadmill in and give the upper body a rest for a while.

Belinda, great job on the Bicep workout today.

Roselyn, way to go on the Iron workout today.

I hope you all have great workouts today.

Today I did CDorner Defined Arms Dumbbells & Loop upper body(wish instructors did not say arms and do things like back and chest) This was 34 minutes(actual 29), 97 calories,97/129 heart rate. I followd this with CDorner Balance & Stretch which was half balance standing other than bird dog hold then stretching, 28 minutes, 44 calories. Total time was 62 minutes, 141 calories. My upper back is better today, but I can feel the pain coming back as I sit here at the computer. I think the boxing really aggravates things. Anything with lots of twisting seems to set it off.
Defined arms I went lower than most of Chris weights
45 sec work
#1 1 arm row 15# db
3 pulse row 15# db
row with a turn hand facing forward 15# db

#2 chest press regular 12# dbs
chest press with a turn 12# dbs
4/4 count regular chest press

#3 hammer curl with loop band on wrists 15# dbs
loop band on wrists front raise 10# dbs
skull crusher with band on wrists 12# dbs

#4Biceps curl half way 12# dbs loop band
front raise and out just a band
skull crusher loop band and 8# dbs 1 up 3 down

#5 all loop band for around 3.5 minutes
band alternating curl
band triceps press down left
band press down right
band bend and extend
band extend and hold out

Belinda, nice work with STS 2 Biceps today.

Roselyn, good job on Iron series chest, shoulders, and back.

Debbie, good choices today. Hopefully the PT will help. I was going through Kellys app cardio and the one I did yesterday has Kelly and Kitty together. I think 6 and 7 are new and possibly 5. In 5 she has two others with her and I at first thought I had done it, but looking back I think I am remembering 3. The music is nothing special in 6 and I previewed 7 a bit and the same there with music. Still it was a fun workout. 6 is pretty fast in the moves and a couple of the series of moves takes a bit to catch on to. There is a Live Road Trip Kickboxing #2. Actually it has good music as I just checked and I have never seen that one before. It is 57 minutes. Maybe she just added it in. I swear I go through all of the workouts on the app once in a while. My brother lives in Florida, about 30 minutes from the gulf coast. So far my arthritis doctor has not offered x-rays other than I first went in years ago. He will probably off a steroid injection or maybe hit on meds again. If it continues to hurt he would do a miserable mri. My primary might though. We will see. She was quick to get me a walk in right away to the diagnostic place for x ray of my knee when I fell. I can tolerate a lot, but sometimes I am about ready to give in to anything to help. This often wraps around the rib cage as well. I feel like something may not be right. Not sure how to explain it, but the bones on that one side of my back seem to pop, and be a bit more raised than the other side. I asked my husband to look and he didn't see a difference.

Jolie, great job on the elliptical and and Raw Upper Body Finisher arms and shoulders, and adding leg extensions.

Today's workout was a 3 mile walk with the pup, 1 hour and I burned 389 calories. I did less hills today, it is hot already and I forgot my water bottle.

Roselyn, great job with the epic workout today.

Belinda, I like doing one body part per day, that was a great workout!

Diane Sue, good job with the arms and upper body workout yesterday.

I hope you all have great workouts today.

This morning I was going to do an STS 2 leg workout but decided to try Kelly's RAW July Rotation - Lower, Back and Chest. Loved it!! I want to try the others soon as well.

This one was a circuit type workout with no rests and you do the circuit three times through. It was tough by the end. Everything was 10 reps.

Heel Elevated Squats: 25#
Wide Glute Squats: 30#
Deadlifts: 20's
Split Squat: 20#/20#/15# (had to drop due to the knot in my shoulder, holding the weight was bothering it)

Band Pulldowns: 50# band
Band Row: 35# band

Incline Chest Press: 25's

Workout was 31 minutes, burned 196 calories and HR was 117/140.

Then I got on my treadmill and walked for 26 minutes, burned 233 calories, went 1.28 miles, did 3026 steps and HR was 148/177.

Jolie - Great workout yesterday, the finishers are great workouts for add-ons. I almost did one after the workout I did today because I had time. Yes, this always happens when I sit all day long. It's frustrating. I started my PT exercises again and it is feeling better. Just can't figure out why it keeps coming back.

Diane - I also had when you do a workout that you think it only targets one muscle group and then there are others in it. I also think boxing irritates my knots and I hate that because I love boxing so much. It's about the only cardio I love to do anymore. I saw those other two kickboxing workouts, they are new so I didn't see them. I'm looking forward to trying them out. I've seen the Roadtrip Kickboxing one, it's been out there forever. I've never done it because its an hour, though. Yea, I think you need to get x-rays or an MRI if you are feeling it in your ribs now. That is concerning I think. I hope it gets better soon, that must be awful to deal with.

Roselyn & Belinda - Great workouts!

Have a great day everyone!

Good Afternoon,

DH had a mini MRI this morning on his chest so we went to that then when we got home I went for a 2.78 mile walk an this afternoon the dog is going to the vet she chewed a sore into her leg. DH quit smoking 15 years ago this month and he told the doctor about a coughing fit he had last year so the doctor order Ed the MRI but what he forgot was he had a sinus infection that brought on that fit. My pancreas is back at It and I think it’s the cholesterol medication she put me on causing it. I walked 2.78 miles yesterday last months total was 58 miles.

Debbie-those are two reasons good palattes.

Today I did CDorner Step and Sculpt Full Body, 5 minute cardio with 3 minute weight segments, 44 minutes, 250 calories, heart rate 140/169, 3, 319 steps. I then did CDorner Booty Burner bands and dumbbells, 26 minutes, 91 calories, heart rate 108/139. This used dumbbells with fabric loop bands and was a real burner. I used the heavy band and 15# dumbbells. Chris used a 20#. Holding that much weight at my chest for so long makes my back hurt even if I am doing good form. I finished off with Raw 20 minute stretch, 25 calories. Total time was 90 minutes, 366 calories. For some reason Chis has lost workouts that had good music and she can't play good music right now. I guess she is trying to figure it out. I know she has said that she had to pay to use good music. Kind of a disappointment. I kind of wondered if Kelly would have problems using youtube with some of her music when she moves to youtube.

Roselyn, nice work on Epic 111 squat day.

Belinda nice job on STS 2 Triceps and JS Total Body Stretch.

Jolie, glad you got your walk with the pup in. Iti is staying in the upper 80's and low 90's for the next week. I don't see any rain coming yet.

Debbie, great job on Raw July Rotation lower, chest, and back. I did all of those. Time went by pretty fast. Adjustments had to be planned out for equipment needed for substitutions. Speaking of holding the weight bothering the knots, I noticed lowering the weight I felt it more in my low back and keeping it at chest made my upper back start hurting. I guess I am really noticing things because my whole back hurts and even lying down on the floor and the pressure hurts. I am pretty sure it has to do with my arthritis.

Roxie, nice work on the walk today. That is good that your doctor was prompt in checking out your husband even if he did forget it was caused from him being sick. Sorry about your pancreas.

Diane - great job on your workouts. Chris put a video out on the music
.

Debbie - nice job on your workout.

Jolie - nice job on your walk. It’s raining here. No walks.

Roxie and Roslyn - nice job!

This morning I did a mish-mosh of stuff.

First I started with STS 2 Standing Metabolic Core, which I love. Then I did my PT exercises and after that I jumped on my treadmill and walked for a mile.

Total workout was 48 minutes, burned 253 calories and HR was 107/145.

Roxie - Yes, I love the shadows, they are very pretty. ColourPop is a great company, love their stuff. Sorry to hear your DH had an MRI for no reason but maybe it's good to make sure everything is ok. Especially because he smoked in the past.

Diane - Great workout yesterday. I know what you mean, when I hold heavy weights near my chest, my upper back feels it. That's why I had to lower a weight yesterday with the split squats. I wish this problem would just go away already. Wow on the music. Why would they delete her videos? I hope she gets them back. I watched the video Belinda posted and hopefully things will be back to normal soon.

Belinda - Thanks for posting that video!!

Roselyn - Great workout!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Today I had an excellent workout, and it is because I had a great nights sleep! I ran on my elliptical for 45 minutes on Interval Mode, traveled 4.2 miles and burned 515 calories. This was a very tough workout, the high resistance uphill for two minutes alternating with the low resistance on lower incline darn near killed me. I was breathing so hard by the end it took me awhile to get my breathing down again. I feel so good when I do sweaty cardio again! Next, I did RAW Upper Body Blast and I love this workout! Each exercise is done for 30 seconds with a 10 second rest and you repeat it 4 times. Workout was 37 minutes long and I burned 364 calories. Total workout time was 82 minutes and I burned 879 calories. I think I will sleep pretty good tonight!

Chest Press- 15's
Seated Overhead Shoulder Press- 12's
Chest Flies- 12's
Lateral Raises- 5's
Leg Extension- 30#
Bicep Curls- 15's
Dead LIfts- 20# BB
Rows- 25# BB
Lying Triceps Ext.- 12's
Rear Flies- 8's
Seat Triceps Overhead Ext.- 12's
Leg Curls- 20#

I am dead :)

Debbie, great job on the workout and PT exercises today. I am loving my elliptical again and it is easy on my low back and knees. I love to get drenching wet sometimes when I workout, it makes me feel like I really got in a good workout.

Roselyn, nice job on the workout.

Belinda, thanks for that video post.

Diane Sue, Nice job on the Step and Sculpt workout yesterday. I love mixing weights with cardio now, these types of workouts are my favorite way to workout now.

Make it a great day.

Today I had so many things going this morning, like getting help getting on my bank account, bill paying, and online shopping for groceries, fixing my husband a late morning breakfast as he went from work to getting a work physical and fitness test. Poor guy was tired. Anyway, I got in a short workout this afternoon. I did Raw Cardio Crush, first 4 tabatas and last tabata that was abs, 29 minutes, 144 calories, heart rate 130/167. I finished with Raw Yoga Stretch, 14 minutes, 23 calories. App shows less, but I forgot to start my watch at first so just using what it usually is. Total time 43 minutes, 167 calories.

Belinda, thanks on the video about the music. I saw that on her page but kept forgetting look at it.

Sorry I disappeared. I had to deal with Walmart. The guy delivered my groceries, then came back with a bag he missed. Then when I put them away, I started noticing things missing. All of the dairy things like yogurt, cream cheese, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, my kombucha tea. Also, I had ordered low carb tortillas for my husband low carb burritos, and they gave me tiny tortillas. I didn't know they made them that small I ordered strawberries, and they subbed a tiny tub of half rotten ones. Part of that was the shopper, and I am not sure about the missing items. I have received other grocery items a few times and they always tell me to keep it. Makes me sorry for the ones expecting their stiff for maybe dinner that day. So, they refunded, and I have another order coming tomorrow with my missing items or a couple of substitutions. Not sure why blueberries cost so much. I forgot to order some vegetables. It has been a crazy day and last night and tonight I started feeling like I am getting sick. Not sure what that is about. Probably why I am so achy.

Debbie, nice work on STS 2 Metabolic Core, PT exercises and the treadmill walk. I really like that one a lot. Sad for Chris who paid to get the music and have the workouts taken off. Are those Color Pop Shadows opaque enough that they show up well or are they metallic or so sheer that they disappear in a couple of hours? I like some of the colors. Looking for a good highlight color to replace what I have that is running out. Most palettes seem to want to throw in a cream or yellowish bone color and it really shows up as yellow on me. I do not like that color. I get pallets and use up the light colors and eventually the rest goes in the trash. Right now most of my shadows are Jane Iredale powdered shadows and I have the IT one shadow pallet, that I have about depleted the light matte color and the highlight color I use with most things other than the IT shadow sticks. I saw a couple of color pop singles on Amazon I might try. They do not cost near what my other shadows cost. Even the singles in Jane Iredale are expensive. They are 28 dollars for a single color or 36 for a trio of coordinating colors. I wish they put more of the light colors and less of the dark which I would only use at the lash line or outer corner. They last forever.

Jolie, great job on the elliptical and Raw Upper Body Blast today. I like doing the cardio and weight workouts too. I feel like I really did something when I get done. Just lifting weights just does not raise my heart rate much unless it is nonstop no rest. I used to always want to keep moving and would do things like jog in place and speed skater during the breaks.

This morning I did RAW July Rotation: Lower, Arms and Shoulders. I liked the workout but was really hoping for more bicep and tricep work. This series seems to focus mostly on legs as there are a lot of leg exercises and only one or two other body part exercises. I do like this July Rotation, though.

10 reps done in circuit style with little rest. This is done 3 times through:

Leg Extensions: 35# barbell (I did pulse squats)
Wide Squats: 35# barbell
Elevated Squats: 25# dumbbell
Deadlifts: 35# barbell

Dumbbell Curls: 15's (I did hammers for the last 2 sets)

Shoulder Press: 12's

Overhead Triceps Extension: 20# dumbbell
Did this three times through

Workout was 29 minutes, burned 167 calories and HR was 111/132.

Then I walked on my treadmill for 1 mile, 22 minutes, burned 162 calories, did 2587 steps and HR was 123/142.

Jolie - Great workout yesterday! When you say elliptical, do you mean your Max Trainer or an actual elliptical? I need to get on my Max Trainer again, I miss high intensity cardio. Maybe next week I'll make myself get on it for a bit. It's hard at 4:30 in the morning, I have no energy most mornings anymore. :( Nice work with Upper Body Blast, I need to pull that one out again.

Diane - Nice job with your workout. That is why I don't order food online anymore. I was sick of all the mistakes and missing items. As much as I hate grocery shopping, I'd rather go on my own. Not worth the aggravation. What I don't understand is how can Youtube take workouts off of Chris's feed? All her workouts have music in them so did they take them all down? That is crazy. I hope it is all back now. ColourPop eyeshadows are nice, but do have many metallic colors with glittery sparkles. If you use those sparsely they look nice. The matte colors are usually pretty, go on well and you can see them. None are transparent. ColourPop leans more towards darker colors but some pallets are pretty and light. I have a spring one that has pinks, greys and taupes in it but I don't see it on Ulta. I know they still have it because I saw it the other day.

Have a great weekend everyone! I have a busy one coming up which means it will go by in a flash.

Hi,

Today was STS 2 Legs. I spent half my day calling a physical therapist that offers more than stretching. It’s a pain. By the time i find one I worked those problems out myself, lol

Debbie, Diane and Jolie - you are welcome!

Diane - how frustrating about Walmart. I hope they make it right. I eat lots of fresh produce, I don’t trust anyone picking it out for me.

Jolie and Roselyn great job.

off spending the next few hours on making calls to find a PT.

Today I did CDorner step aerobics #420 43 minutes, 208 calories, 126/161 heart rate. I also did Cathe STS 2 Total Body Stretch. 23 minutes, 28 calories. Total time 67 minutes, 236 calories.

Debbie, nice work on Raw July Lower, arms and shoulders. I think Kelly was making that rotation lower body focused. They are good workouts though. I find that hammer curls feel a lot better on my wrists. I think it is good to do some of both. I particularly do not like w-curls. I was looking at some pallets on Amazon. There was a couple I might consider. Dark purple colors just make me look like I have more of a did not sleep or bruising. I lean toward pinky colors and peach for the most part. I thought about going to the store myself this morning, but really the items missing was not things I worry about them shopping for. I have messed up my shoulder and back several times putting those large packs of water in and out of the cart and trunk of my car. If I get delivery from Whole Foods their shoppers do well on fruits and vegetables. The biggest problem there is cost is more, I pay for delivery, and not as many choices. Plus often they are out of things and not a lot of choices for substitutes if I fill that part out. They have Kroger delivery here. I am not sure how that is.

Belinda, good job on STS 2 Legs today. I am glad that you were able to work the problem out yourself. When I used a place that is a chain PT business called PT Central, they did do some hands on stuff for my knots and once they did some dry needling. The only hands on I got after surgery was forcing my shoulder to move beyond where it wanted to stop. They had to get my full range back. Not pleasant. What I did not like about PT central is they just had college students put me through the stuff I did myself for the first hour or so then the PT worked with me.
Walmart has an online chat for problems and AI goes through the steps I mark the missing items and I get my money for those items and I usually get my money refunded to my bank account right away. Still upsetting when expecting something and having plans for it and I do not get it.
