Debbie - glad the PT gave you finally some relief. Praying it stays that way for good You need a break.

Roselyn - my heart goes out to you and your family. So sorry you have to go through this. (((HUGS))) I will continue to pray for your mom.

Tomorrow I will probably check in the evening, I have a UPenn research appointment. Not sure, if I get a workout in. The drive is 4 hours one way.

So today we were up there quite a lot. She was breathing on her own only 40% 60% ventilator her kidney function isn’t getting better. So Dr. talked to us and said she is sick people do bounce back but she’s got a lot going on she’s 86 which I’m tired of hearing. I know she is but she’s been a very active 86 so my sister and I decided tomorrow if she doesn’t meet the criteria to trying it off the ventilator we just want to stop life support because she would hate this she didn’t respond to my daughter. She opened her eyes and tried to talk. She squeezed my hand, but she’s just not improving. She’s got so much wrong with so many organs right now. We’ll see things happen and I’m not giving up yet but they did say it would be peaceful so I’ll just wait and see what tomorrow brings. I did say anything can happen. She still could just go to sleep on the ventilator so I don’t know it’s killing me, but I know part of me. Hope she wasn’t trying to tell my daughter, why am I on this ventilator? She’s a spicy little thing. So just send prayers because my sister and I are struggling seeing her like this and struggling having to make a decision like this but we do know what she would want so we’ll give it one more night and see if anything improves so keep sending prayers thank you my fitness family.
 
Today I did Fit Split Boxing Bootcamp Legs and Glutes, 61 minutes, 342 calories, heart rate 128/157. That is it for the day. I moved some workouts that I have on my external drive to my computer so that I can use my computer without a dvd player. I guess I did not transfer them from my old laptop which went into the trash. I forgot how much jumping and burpees is in the workout that I did today. I had to do a lot of modifications on the boxing bootcamp portion.

Roselyn, praying for your family and your mother. My heart goes out to you. Most of the time people keep it to themselves thinking it is nothing and things worsen.

Debbie, I am doing okay. I have been keeping weights no higher than 15# dumbbells almost always and allowing more rest between. That seems to help recovery. I still hurt though and keep waking up at night trying to find a way to sleep and not have pain. I did well today on the moves with the high step. I expected to hurt a lot afterward, but so far it is not too bad. That is great that the PT work helped you a lot.

Jolie, good job on the walks and P90X back and Biceps. Walking on the beach would be uplifting listening to the waves and enjoying the outdoors. I am at my daughter's right now. I spend a lot more time outside playing with my dog and I enjoy the sunshine and all of the woods and greenery around here. No close neighbors. My daughter has 15 acres. We are deciding where we want to live and looking for the right house.

Belinda, good job on M1 W2 D5 Back & Biceps, and pilates for the back. I hate when things go wrong with the cars. They gave us a loaner while they try to figure it out.
 
Today I did A Cardio and Arm workout with light weights, 24 minutes, 110 calories, heart rate 110/136. I then did Senior Shape Upper Body Strength workout 24 minutes, 111 calories, heart rate 105/149. I used mostly 12# dumbbells except overhead press moves where I used 10's. She did some different moves on this and it was a good workout. I finished with standing active recovery and stretch, 15 minutes, 56 calories. Total time was 63 minutes, 277 calories.

I was so exhausted after my appointment at UPenn yesterday. I go there for RP research. I hope one day they will find a cure for RP. I been in RP research for 3 years, I just extended it for another 3 years. They have a 3 and 6 year study. She does make recommendations on what meds if they don’t work to try next. She checks for RP synonyms, they took a lot of blood tests since I am in a flair. There are no blood tests for RP. This is why it’s so hard for doctors to give a diagnose on RP. I can be in a full blown flair, my blood tests show normal. She ask a lot of questions about my symptoms and how I feel. She is a great doctor. Everyone in UPenn is amazing. I was going to workout, I was too exhausted by the time I came home. I fell asleep on the couch watching TV, lol.

Once I have my coffee I will get my workout in. BBL

Hi all! Still doing my PT stretches. I am feeling much better but still feel tweaks here and there when I sit. It is getting better, though. I am hoping for one more week of recovery and then start back the week after next. Fingers crossed.

Roselyn - My heart goes out to you. I can't even imagine how difficult it is for you and your sister to decide on things like that. I'm waiting for the day when my brother and I have to do the same thing. So sad. My belief is that when the quality of life is gone, what is the point? I wouldn't want to live on a ventilator or in a bed until something else happens. That is just me, but I know my mom feels the same way. I pray you both decide what's best for your mom. Again, my heart goes out to you and I am praying for your family.

Diane - Great job with your workouts! Have you had the injections yet? I think it's next week, right? I sure hope those help you.

Belinda - Good thinking just resting yesterday. No sense doing a workout when you are exhausted. I hope you are rested up today and get a good workout in.

Today I did D6 W2 D6 Legs plus Pilates. I also did live zoom dancing.

I feel much better today, I guess I needed that sleep. Is anyone using a CPAP Machine? I did a sleep study in April, they recommended one. Not happy with the customer service. When I googled them for reviews, their reviews are not good. They had the wrong phone number. Not sure who they been trying to call for the last 3 weeks? I am also not happy with the sleep study place, they expect me to chase down medical equipment. I am not the one that recommended the CPAP supplier. I am not impressed with either right now. Sorry for venting.

Debbie - glad you feeling a lot better and the exercises are working.

Today I did CDorner Hiit with a platform cardio workout, 35 minutes, 205 calories, HR 127/169 and Senior Shape Chair Yoga Upper Mobility Stretch with some added lower body stretches, 25 minutes, 70 calories. Total time 60 minutes, 275 calories.
