Hardcore Fitness Maniacs June 2026

No workout again today, just playing it safe. We have some long drives ahead of us and if my hip is in pain, I will not be able to enjoy the drives. So I did my PT for my upper and lower body.

Belinda - Wow, I don't even know how that is possible unless hardly anyone is going to outside gyms anymore. That is truly sad. I wonder what will happen with Cathe's business then?

Have a GREAT weekend everyone! I will have only one week and two days left before summer break. Can't wait! It's been a great and success ful year for me, I had a great time with my events.
A Note from Cathe:

Hi Cathletes,

I know many of you have seen the Four Seasons GoFundMe campaign that was launched yesterday in an effort to help keep our gym operating, and I wanted to quickly address some of your questions and concerns.

Yes, Four Seasons has been facing financial difficulties over the last year that have finally gotten a bit too heavy and are threatening to lead us to closure. Behind the scenes we have been working tirelessly to overcome the obstacles and try and keep everything operating. As we all know the price of pretty much everything has increased and managing the costs of a facility as large as four seasons is no easy task. At this point in time we are trying to come together as a community to see if we can turn things around.

I know for most of you the biggest questions are
  1. what happens to Cathe Live if we are no longer in the gym?
  2. what happens with the October roadtrip?
  3. what happens with Cathe dot com and Cathe Ondemand?
Rest assured that we are working though all of the details surrounding Cathe dot Com. Cathe dot Com is NOT in bankruptcy, but does have heavy ties to Four Seasons for obvious reasons, but this does not mean that streaming and Live will cease if the gym doors close. Some changes will have to be made, but we have to handle each hurdle as it comes and right now our focus is on keeping the Four Seasons facility if we can. Steaming and Cathe Live are currently business as usual.

One side note about Cathe Live- tomorrow’s stream (June 4th) will be myself, Jenn and Kristen only. This is not a reflection of any of the current goings on at the gym. This was pre planned (and pre-recorded) because I am unavailable to hold the Live class tomorrow due to a doctor’s appointment that couldn’t be scheduled around our Live timeslot.

Regarding the roadtrip that is scheduled for October: The registration funds are currently being held in a separate account for safekeeping in the event that we need to cancel and refund attendees. In the next couple of weeks we will have a much clearer picture of what’s happening, and will make a decision on whether we can proceed in the gym as planned or whether we need a plan B location and/or cancellation. I know this isn’t a concrete answer, but I do not want to be too quick to cancel if we can still make this roadtrip happen. I know many (including me) are looking forward to it so please give me a little more time to see what we can make happen.

I know you probably have a million more questions, but please understand that our days are currently over scheduled with meetings, planning, talking to employees, gym members, instructors, the list goes on. As any new developments occur that affect our Cathlete community in any way I will update you as soon as possible.

Thanks so much everyone for your loyal and unwavering support!

Healthy hugs and much love,

Cathe

Good morning,

I went for a walk outside this morning, getting ready to do those neck exercises my doctor gave me. I probably will do some light Pilates ( mostly stretching)

I will be back later

Hi,

I waked outside this morning and did my stretches. Tomorrow I have a follow up appointment, I hope I am clear to my regular exercises.

Debbie - great job this morning on your stretches. Praying you can start working out again tomorrow.

Diane and Jolie - where are you?

I will be back tomorrow. Hopefully I can start STS again.

Hi everyone. I have a second to get on here and post, my life has been turned upside down. My mom survived her stroke and is in a skilled nursing facility having rehabilitation. Thank goodness that she can walk and use here arms, but it has affected her speech and swallowing. She is getting better by the day and hope she recovers to 100% but I do not know what comes next, day by day. My construction on the bathroom is almost finished so when she leaves the skilled nursing facility she can come home to a beautiful bedroom and bathroom. I am sure I will have to hire a caretaker for a while but that is ok and it will free up some time for me to live my life too. I have lost 9 pounds due to stress, but each day seems to get a little easier. I just listed her house to sell, got rid of the cars and now I just need to get her home and that's it for now. I will get in at least one workout this week if it kills me!!! All of her stuff is piled in my gym room, so I have to organize that first and then I am lifting some damn weights! I hope you all are doing well. I have been walking a lot; it is a life saver for me. What is this I read about the gym that Cathe owns? wow how sad. I need to read the past posts from all of you so I can get caught up on all of you and your workouts. I think I will stick with P90X for the next few weeks because I love the workouts and I get killer results!

Have a great day, I miss you all but I will be back soon.

No workouts on Thursday and Friday. Saturday I did Lauren Senior Shape Strength Combos for 38 minutes, 119 calories hr 91/127. Today I did Lauren Low Impact Cardio and added a 10 minute mobility to it, 43 minutes, 174 calories, HR 103/143. I really think Cathe should be able to still do streaming somehow. Hopefully the gym pulls through this.

Belinda, nice job on the walk and stretches. I hope the follow up goes well tomorrow.

Debbie, good job on getting in the PT stretches.

Jolie, I am glad your Mom survived the stroke. I am sure she will love the bedroom and remodeled bathroom you set up for her. You have had a lot to take care of.

Roselyn, good job on the shoulder workout.
