Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for week of 4/15

No workout today. I woke up at 3 a.m. with my heart pounding and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm having anxiety issues again. I bought some 5HTP Saturday and have been taking it but it takes a few weeks to get into the bloodstream. I have a headache and I'm nauseous so I hope I'm not coming down with the flu or anything. I'm going to try to go into work but may come home early. Fun times...
 
This morning I did P90X2 balance and power, this sort of hits everything but is mainly targeting legs and core. You do get some overhead presses and push ups though. 63 minutes, 347 calories. I then did Cathe's Hiit 30/30 , 28 min, 250 calories and finished off with 100 rep challenge biceps skipping one of the rests and using 30#, 6 min 44 calories. Total time was 94 min and calories burned 641.

Debbie, I hate nights like that. I do that sometimes. I hope that you get to feeling better and are not coming down with anything.

Diane Sue, been trying to follow you at bit but not having p902 i have to modify, I did the hiit 30/30 , some leg and core work and the 100 rep bicep challenge.

No workout today, either. I stayed at work for about an hour yesterday and came home. I felt nauseous and tired and had a bad headache. I slept pretty much all day. I feel better today and my appetite is slowly coming back. I only had 2 bowls of cereal and toast with PB on it yesterday. My head still hurts but other than that, I should be ok to go into work today.

Great workouts everyone! I'm hoping to be back at it tomorrow.
 
Got on my treadmill today and did Cardio Coach #2 revised. I had an ok workout. My HR is till up there but getting better. I took it fairly easy today. This workout is a tough one, though. I don't remember it being as challenging as it was.

Still no workout yet. I think that I am going to try some yoga in a little bit. I have a doctor appointment this afternoon. I have just been relaxing with the grandchildren.

Roselyn, I know it is kind of hard to explain the workouts in some of P90X2. I will soon be doing mostly the strength stuff which may be easier to follow. There is a lot of core in phase one of these. When I do phase 3 it is upper and lower P.A.P twice a week. You are doing good figuring out what to do :)
Debbie, the workout probably felt harder than you remember because you have not been feeling well. I am sure that it will get better.
 
I finishe P90X2 yoga. I doubt I will have time the next two days for a workout so it will have to wait till Saturday.
 
A friend of mine asked me to go to dinner with her last night because they were doing a fundraiser. The restaurant - Fiesta Jalepenia (sp?) would donate 20% of each bill to the school she works at, which is my alma madder (is that correct?) so I told her I'd go with her. Now I remember why I don't eat Mexican food anymore. :eek:

All night I felt like I had a big rock in my stomache. And this morning isn't much better. Never again. I love Mexican food, but it does bad things to me.

I lost 3# last week and now I bet I gained it all back. :(

I got up this morning with a determination of running no less than 3 miles. So I did. I chose Run Fit with Candace and I had an excellent workout even though half way through I thought I was going to loose my mexican cookies. LOL!

I am home. Filling up next week with appointments and to do things already :) I will be happy to do some much needed exercise. Tomorrow I think I will do P90X2 Base and back (lower and back with lots of pullup variations) then P90X 2 ab Ripper, followed by Cathe's Hiit Pyramid. That should do it. Then home projects. My eating has been up and down this week. Today, not so good at dinner. DH had a work dinner and I ate stuff I have not eaten in years. My daughters had pretty healthy meals planned. Baked potatoes with salad, chicken curry made with low sodium broth and rice, salad. Dessert not so good. Eating out snacks etc was not so good. I would say tonight was my worst. Thank goodness I did not eat breakfast and lunch was a veggie shiritake noodle mix. I had a snack pack of nuts. Anyway, i am home, hit the stores and picked up black bean pasta for a recipe I have made and really liked. I am good :D I really did enjoy most of my time off except doctors and dentists.
 
Debbie, I hear you on the eating. As mentioned above my eating has been interesting. I forgot to mention my arrival and lunch with a friend at the Chinese restaurant. I had shrimp chow mein, rice, soup, eggroll and the works. It was yummy but I am sure I did not do myself any favors. Generally I always got the steamed veggies and steamed white rice which is the only kind of rice that they had when we lived there.
 
Today I did P90X2 Base and Back (this is plyo leg work alternated with pull up/chin up variations) 57 minutes, 363 calories. Then I did ab ripper X2 17 min, 86 calories. I finished off with Cathe's High Intensity Hiit Pyramid 30 min, 266 calories. Total time was 1 hr 47 min and calories burned 715. I need to work on next week. I have to be up and at the medical center for some test and fasted on Tuesday so I will probably have to make that one short or split it up.
 
Today I did Insanity Max Interval and turbo 10 abs. Have not done an Insanity workout in awhile, YIKES, I think my body needed that shock (I think:)
