Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Wed Sept 6

Cathlete
Morning Fit Ladies -

This morning I overslept a bit (not feeling well) so I did Ab Ripper 200 with med ball and ankle weight (instide of X - cuz it's shorter) and I did P90X Shoulders and Arms. Since I'm not feeling that well, I wasn't gonna workout...but I couldn't NOT work out...so I thought I'd just take it easy...but that really didn't happen either. The only thing I did to take it easy is not fight for those extra reps after I hit failure (like I've been doing lately). I still had a good workout. I hope it didn't take that much out of me for fighting off this virus.

Megadoo - I hope you like Ab Ripper X. I'm so used to it by now that my abs don't even get sore from it!! I need to up my weight with the med ball, but I need to get a heavier med ball. I suppose I could use a dumbbell.

Dallys - That's my favorite premix on PY4H also. I just love Eion...he's so cool. I'd love to meet him. I bet he has a neat personality and I love the little doggie on the yoga mat in that DVD. Too cute.

Charlotte- I'm so broke (don't know where I'm gonna get money for the teeshirt now). I ordered multiple bottles of Kindly Moon and then I threw in 3 from Order of the Dragon - Count Dracula, Carafax Abbey, and Quincy Morris. I hope the leather doesn't amp on my skin too much in the latter. I love all the other notes though. Kindly Moon sounds good cuz it reminds me of a sort of blue musk blend my old perfumer used to make me ...here's the description: Kindly Moon: Utterly ethereal, an exquisite expression of love: moonflower, lotus root, white gardenia, beeswax, peach blossom, blue musk, stargazer lily, golden osmanthus, ti, sandalwood, hyacinth, ylang ylang, and a touch of vanilla bean. Email me at work if you want to ([email protected])

Have great workouts everyone. I'll try to check in from work.

Hello Lora and all to follow.
I know broke i paid off the last $3200. on my last credit card this month and left me for about broke. Then comes quarterlys....end of sept.
But, the bill is gone.....Great feeling...
I have had a buisy week and down Mon with a stomache intestinal thing. Every time i tried to w/o i was running up stars, so i gave me a break.
I am getting back to my am workouts for winter. I am planning the timesaver ches/tri and coremax and some tradmill after i have some coffee..and wake up.

Debbie, I would love to have the total bod rotation you were doing. I need a change up and need to increase weights.
If you would please...
[email protected]

I am trying to catch up here.
Deb the incline at even a slower pace is a better pumper. It is like walking up here. We are all hills. Take her to 10-12 and even 3.5 you will feel it.
Char , did you ever think about a weighted vest?
Might be easier on your neck?
You are my herooooo.
Does your Chiropractor love you?

Debbie did you try pull ups on the treadmill?
Mine has a bar across the front.
Well have great w/o's today off to the basement.

Good Morning Maniacs!!

Feeling under the weather here too. Nasty cold. Throat hurt all night while I tried to sleep. Got strength training planned for today so gonna be a fighting war to get thru it cuz I am trying to up my weights too.

Lora,

Hubby would kill me if I ordered all that. He might still kill me. lol. Sorry your not feeling well either, and you STILL worked out, and at 2:30am???? I would hurt myself if I tried to workout at that time just by not seeing and tripping over things. lol.

Anne,

No chiropractor. Been thinking of getting a deep massage though. Thought about a weighted vest before we got smith machine. Neck isn't so bad right now. I actually think working out with weights makes it better. When hubby had rotator cuff issue, he was told to workout with weights..side lateral raises, etc., but with like 3#. My 3# db's have dust all over them. lol. Hope it doesn't rain AGAIN. I need to mow today. You know I am trying to sell this house. Yesterday realtor came by with client to look at our home and I didn't know anyone was coming. I didn't hear the phone ring and message was left on my answering machine. So here I am...in the middle of cleaning bathrooms and taking sheets off beds and they come!!!!!! I let them in, but I told them the bathrooms were not cleaned yet. The guy didn't act interested anyways even before he got to the yucky rooms. He didn't even walk around the yard or look at the sunroom. So whatever.

ETA: Sunnyside and XSchwartz,

Now I get it about the vest. Wasn't sure why Anne mentioned this. 50# you say? I might break my back. You all crack me up!

Hope you all have great workouts!!!!! Hello to all that follow. Be back later.

Charlotte~~

Good morning, ladies! Tonight I teach my aqua class which I do as well as lead; funnily enough, the club where I am not teaching is connected to the place where they're holding "American Idol" auditions here in downtown Minneapolis. The wannabes started lining up last night. Thankfully, I can get to my club via a connected skywalk system, so I don't have to plow through the hopefuls and the hopelesses.

LoraJC, I'm only a part-time aqua instructor; my fulltime job is as a paralegal, which I've done for a little over seven years now. Major chair-sittage, which makes me grateful for evening classes.

Have a great workout day, phriends!

Good Morning,
Todays workout will be cardio, some treadmill, legs and shoulders.
I forgot to mention yesterday that besides the amy Benuto Abs I did 100 hanging knee raises with a 10# med ball and 50 25# woodchops on the stability ball.

Lora, good job getting your workout in anyway. Take it easy so you can get better. I know that is hard to do:)

Charlotte, yeah I think a 50# vest would be hard to do planks in, but then you never know( You never know about some people when they look though. The guy could have been interested and just didn't show it.

Annette, I wonder if you will get to hear them trying out while you are teaching:) Probably not that close though.

Diane Sue,

Yeah, your right. He could have felt uncomfortable too since I was there too. People are strange, I suppose.

You did 100 hanging knee raises with 10# med ball? Gosh, your arms had to hurt from all the hanging. You are just too amazing! Good grief, I am just in awe of you.

Charlotte~~

Charlotte:
You will sell it. I was watching hgtv one day and they said when you have little money. Get rid of clutter, really clean up the yard and make it neat. Bigger rooms and cleaness sells .
Just think 50 lb weighted vest and 70 lbs on the smith machine. You will be a she woman. HAHAH!Just watch your back. You need it for a long time.
Diane Sue: I am impressed. I haven't done hanging abs in a while. May have to put the bar on the soloflex and see what i can do.

This morning I felt like doing kickboxing so I did Cardio Kicks. LOVE this workout, it goes by so fast. I never believe its an hour long until I look at my HR monitor and it says I worked out for an hour. I wore my 1 lb. weighted gloves and got a great upper body burn. I concentrated really hard on my jabs and such. I was in my zone for 37 minutes and burned only 244 calories. Not sure what is up with my low calorie burns lately. Ticks me off.

Anne - no I don't have a pull up bar on my treadmill, I have a power tower that I use. I love that thing. I'll send you the rotation soon.

Adri - Are you really a gynmast? I was wondering how long you have doing it? I'd love to see some pics of you, I bet you have some well defined muscles.

Charlotte - feel better, girl. Nothing worse than a freakin' sore throat!

Morning all!

Oh well! Have great workouts everyone!

Hey Maniacs!!
I start school tomorrow. Is pretty exited. Wanna see all my friends again.
Today is Shoulders, Calves, shins, and abs. Plus cardio, maybe a 4.5 imle jog. Its kinda crappy outside today. Figures whenever I wanna jog its shitty outx(

Debbie- yea I'm a Level 6 gymnast. I've been doing it for 4 years. But my avatar was of me almost 4 years ago (3.5) when I moed to team (Level 4) You can tell I didn't have much muscle or anything yet, but when I started going to the gym, my muslces were realy gettin developed and even my coaches were talking;-) I'm still workin on my picture trail. Hoping to get my cam back sometime this week. Debbie, your soo amazing. 244 calories is great!! Do Low Max again}(

Lora- Whats the differents between the ab ripper 200 and the abripperx? Just wondering cuz I wanted to get the abripperx.

Anne- Glad your bills are gone. You should see my Mom when she pays off all her bills. Its like shes she the golden light or something:+

Charlotte- I hope you get over your cold. It seems like colds are worse than flues or something cuz they stick around. Hope you get better soon girl;-)

Annette- Have fun teaching you aqua class. My Mom used to take those when she had sciatica nerve problem. She felt so lazy just sitting in the house for 3 months, she took one of those classes.

Diane Sue- Looks like you got a great workout yesturday! Sounds great!

Have a great day!

Adri - Ab Ripper 200 is from the P90 series. With P90, you get sculpting 1-2, aerobics 1-2 and abripper 100 and 200 (100 reps and 200 reps) whereas Ab Ripper X has 330-350 reps. I needed a shorter ab workout today since I slept in and only had 1 hour and 10 minutes to complete my workout....thus the Ab Ripper 200.

Morning guys!

Confession: I did not WO yesterday. After babysitting and having a zoolike house, and all that good stuff, I was completely exhausted last night. I knew I did not have the strength, so I took my rest day early. Plus I was sore everywhere with DOMS, so I feel better in that aspect today. Slept crappy last night, but that's alright.
So iam planning on doing the cardio and back today, and more abs.

Dallys, sounds like a great WO, but I am not familiar with some of those moves either. Would love to try though.

Charlotte- I can totally picture you in that vest. Maybe I will get it for you for Christmas LOL!!!

Deb- It's really impressive how you get a great calorie burn. I so need to HRM. I have no idea how much I burn.

DS- as usual, great WO. My goal is to have abs like you woman!!LOL!!

Lora- I really hope you feel better, and can get some rest too. I am kinda like you and your oils, with Avon! I love Avon stuff.

Annette- I can just imagine how great it must feel to get moving after a long day of sitting! Have fun!

Adri- I hope to get my Ab Ripper X soon! Can't wait!

Anne- glad you are feeling better and getting back to it. How is the new windshield?

Adri - So how old were you when you started? Are you still in school? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just curious. My step daughter was a gymnast when she was younger (age 6 to about 17). I wish she would have never given it up. She wasn't half as diciplined as you seem to be, she just did it more or less for her cheerleading stunts. How many levels are there in gymnastics? Do you still work on your gymnastics?

Love Low Max! I don't usually burn that many calories with that workout, though. Not sure what was going on the last time I did it.

I did all of my workout except shoulders. I do them this evening or leave them till Friday and do GS BSB. My plan though is Friday a total body circuit and GS BB. I ran on the treadmill for 5 miles, then did GS legs.
For this I used the Bowflex for squats at 200#
lunges I picked up 20# dumbbells
Plie squats 25# dumbbells
leg press silver band
Deadlifts toes elevated 70#
Deadlifts off step 25#
On those slow motion lunges I used 10# dumbbells
for calves I picked up 25#
Also on the floor work for glute squeezes I held 15# dumbbells on hips. I used purple and silver bands.

Hi Debbie!
I started gymnastics when I was 10x( (my avatar was of me when I was 10 too) starting gymnastics that late is kinda bad. My muscles weren't as flexible yet since they were more developed than a 6 year old. I took me alittle longer to become flexible. I'm a Level 6. The competeing levels are from levels 4-10. (their are levels 1,2, and 3 but our gym doesn't have those) I still go to school, but I have to sometimes miss 3-4 days because of competitions and meets in places like NY. I don't mind though;-) I won states on time in Level 4. That was great

What level was your daughter when she stopped Debbie?

I also love Low Max!!! Great workout
