Morning Maniacs -

Well, I managed to get out of bed at 3:20 am. That's slightly better. I think the depression is still making me not want to get out of bed or workout. I don't have motivation again. I'm planning on doing a Weighted Circuit. Hopefully, I'll feel better once I get moving.

Be back in a bit.

I ended up doing Michelle Dozois' Best Body Circuit. Workout was 69" and I burned 375 calories. The DVD is actually 60"...but it took me longer with weight and band changes, etc. That's the one thing I always miss about Cathe's workouts.....she always gives you time to grab a different weight. I don't like when instructors use the same weight or band throughout....cuz how many people could get a great workout in without grabbing different amounts of weights?

I also did 50" of yoga.

Diane Sue -you must have quite a nice camper! When I think of camping, I think of tents and outhouses!! Can you tell how much of a camper I am...NOT! I wore those Mizunos this morning during my workout. Hard to really tell until I try the larger size on. Have you ever given yourself a foot massage? It's not normall something I do, however, my one Anusara Yoga DVD had us rubbing our feet and then sit in Hero's Pose and knead our feet with our fists and it felt so good that I did it again today. I really think it would be good to incorporate this at least once a week for circulation, etc. I wish I was one of those lucky ladies to have a DH that rubs their feet for them! Mine doesn't give massages of any kind.

Let's please stop all of this talk about food that's bad for you today! I need support from my healthy eating ladies. My depression tends to make me overeat.........so I'm not doing too good. It's not that I'm eating bad stuff....but an extra handful of almonds, extra apple here and extra serving of Kashi Go Lean there.....and it adds up. I'm also so famished. I know........you guys are gonna say egg whites!! Sorry.....but I tried them and they are just downright disgusting! I'm too picky of an eater to stomach them.

Have great workouts everyone. I'll be back later. Have to get ready for my foot appointment and I'm going to get my flu shot also.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

I will not talk about my morning..started off rocky. Moving on...

doing yesterday's workout today. Yesterday had 0 energy. Maybe body fighting off something. Doing ab work now as I type. lol

Lora,

Kashi Go Lean has too much sugar in it...13g, if I am not mistaken. Eat the high protein one instead. Dip your apples in natural peanut butter. Try that tofu too.

Toasty - that's what I do eat. The High Protein & Fiber one with 6 grams of sugar and 13 grams of protein. I usually munch on it dry and measure out the 3/4tth cup serving at 110 calories. What exactly is tofu??

Hi all!
I was suppose to do cardio today but decided not to. I figure since I took a week off from weights a couple weeks back that I'll take a week off from cardio. I just don't have it in me to sweat this week.

My wrist is better. Still hurts a bit if it is angled a certain way, but not like it did yesterday. Hope I can work my bi's tomorrow.

Hope you all have kick ass workouts today! :)

Morning Maniacs! Probably go on a bike ride later today. I wanted to get in a Slim Series workout but, you know...I've dinked around to long again (Suz, what's up with us?)!

Lora Ok, it's all "healthy food" talk today.:) I need the help too! I cooked some soy beans yesterday and they are GREAT for snacking on. They have 8g of protein per 1/2 cup. I think you'd like them, seriously. They are nutty/buttery tasting. Also, if you like pudding, the Stallone pudding (might have to get it online, but I found it at the health food store) is really good and has 22g protein. Nice for a quick snack.

Char Hope the rest of your day is better than your morning.:)

Diane Sue It's great you are keeping up with the workouts in the trailer! Really, I don't think I could do it.

Debbie I think that's a good idea. You don't need any added stress. You'll be back to ole self soon.:)

Dallys- are those the beans that are in McDonalds Asian salad that look like Lima Beans?? I wasn't sure. I eat that salad cuz it's good for you but I don't really like those little beans.....but they're at least swallowable! LOL. Not too sound stupid....but what part of the grocery store do you find soy beans in? Martha Stewart, I am not!! Also, how bad is it to eat dried cranberries? I know they have tons of sugar in them, but if you eat a half serving a few times a week, is that horrible? I've got a horrible addiction to them with my shredded wheats. I'm trying to quit....but I've only been able to cut down so far.

News Flash-- Tracey Staehle announced her plans for filming in February. Rehersals start next week.

Lora Yes, they are the same as what's in the McD salad. You find them in the freezer section. I'm not sure about the dried cranberries, but I can't imagine them them being bad for you. They are a fruit and have natural sugars and it's not like you're not eating a whole bag at a time. I'd just enjoy them with your cereal and not worry.:)

Good morning!

dried cranberries are great...I eat them in oatmeal and mixed with nuts....yum!

Gym style back, should & bi (60min) and yoga (10 - 20min)

Everyone have a great day

Caught up with last nights posts:

Suz, Dally & Penney - Thank you for the complients!

Penney - Great leg workout yesterday. Sorry he took squats away from you!! That sucks. I can't do leg day without squats. Hope your sinuses clear up soon!

Lora - I'm with you. All that talk about foods was making me hungry! :)

Lisa - Great going with GS! I love dried cranberries!

I finished my workout. I had enough room that I was able to do all of Tracey's Sweatfest Kick box. I tried some of the hi/lo but kept dancing into the dog LOL. I then did 100 crunches with an 8# dumbbell as that is the heaviest dumbbell I bought with me, I then did the Fab Abs segment that is in November Oxygen magazine. It is all standing and balancing. A good functional workout. I finished with Rainbeau Mars Dawn Yoga. I wish I would have bought more than one yoga dvd. I need to check my mp3 player. I have an itrain stretch workout in it and iteen kickbox in it. I did bring my foam roller and Keli's foam roller dvd. I will use that tomorrow.

Lora, I can't eat rally bad right now. My trailer is loaded with fruits, veggies, turkey, chicken and eggs. Also so oatmeal. I am not much of a camper either. That is why we have our fifth wheel trailer with the popout on the side. I need my bath and kitchen LOL
I think there is a picture of it on my website on what we do for fun or something like that. I roll my feet over the foam roller before my workouts and afterward. After I bathe I always spend some time massaging them with lotion. It does make them feel better and I don't want things to heal tight. I think it helps keep the knots out. I will have to check out that workout.

Dallys, I don't always work out when we go on vacation or camping. I just have all day to myself. DH is going to a school to recertify in something during the day. He was gone 11 hours yesterday. I guess I did take p90x with me to Cancun when I did the rotation. I was on the recovery week and did some of the workouts scheduled. Not all of them though.

Thanks Debbie! I was so disappointed that he took the squats away - but I really do need to concentrate on upper body anyway.

Dried cranberries sound wonderful :) I like fresh fruit the best, though. In my shake this morning I had fresh strawberries & fresh blueberries mixed in the pp,oats, milk & plain yogurt. It was so good!

One thing I really don't understand is why people sweeten fruit ... it is very sweet and delicious by itself.

Sinuses are a little runny still, and I feel very tired and draggy. I called in from work today and may or may not do cardio later today. The trainer at Fitworks told me cardio is very good for a cold - it helps a person "sweat it out." It depends on how TIRED I feel. I have to listen to my body :)

Have a great day ladies! :)

Hey again! Had some concellations at work so I have a min. to bs. :p

Penney Your breakfast sounded great! I had homeade granola mixed with banana creme protein powder, added milk and frozen berries. It's just like a dessert, soooooo good!

Diane Sue I'm into your way of camping. Give me a tub and a shower and toilet and I can go anywhere.:) I'd probably find a way to workout to, if my dh was busy and gone all day. Sounds kind of relaxing.

Later...Off to blow dry some fluff balls while I watch animal planet:p.

Penney - Cardio always clears my sinuses. Not sure why. And I heard that sweating does help a cold or whatever you may have. Don't workout if you have the flu, though. You shake sounded really good. I always put frozen strawberries & bananas in mine.

Penney, I know what they mean about a cold. Working out with a cold or other congestion seems to loosen things up. Like Debbie said I would not do it with the flu, but I think if we have the flu we really do know it. I agree on the fruit. If I want to add something it may be some cinnamon or other spices. Fresh fruit is the best.

I know there's a bean that looks like a lima bean and it's called edameme (sp?)

I've been doing my own version of TT lately and it is giving me the most intense DOMS I've ever experienced. I hope to see some results before too long!!!

Lora - I'm sorry you're suffering from depression. I know what that is like and while I really loathe the thought of getting up and doing something, I find that once I force myself to go out or do stuff around the house, I almost always feel energized.

Char - sorry you had a rough morning.

Debbie - a week off from cardio is fine. I am doing that this week myself!

Diane Sue - Holy cow, woman - you worout more on vacation that I do while at home.

Dallys - Enjoy your bike ride!

Lisa - are you doing a GS rotation

Penney - Hello! I'm marcia. Nice to meet you.

Be well, maniacs.:)

Isn't it crazy! I got major DOMS too!

Hello busy ladies!

This morning I could hardly get up again. Yup, it's a trend. :) I waited to get up at 6 with DH's alarm b/c I had a mammojam at 8:30. They had to do it twice b/c she had the machine set too light. A BOGO. Yay for me. Once again I dinked around like Dallys :p so long that I only had time for CC#4. It was SO hard for me today. I can't believe how tired I was. My HR shot right up there and stayed. I don't know why it is doing this. I had no energy and thought I might die. Okay, that's a bit dramatic. I only had time to stay on for the 45 minutes, no extra. I worked hard.

Now get this - the mammo tech says how I've lost weight since I've been there before. Yeah, so I've heard. So she proceeds to tell me that women are designed to gain weight as they age so that they can be protected from osteoporosis. Now, are you sitting down? She says that her theory is that we should all carry an EXTRA 25 pounds because if we get a serious illness we could easily lose 25 pounds and put ourselves in jeopardy!!! Let's not talk about what being 25 pounds overweight does to our health compared to what the chances of getting a serious illness are! Good grief. But she was very, very nice.

Lora - No bad food talk. You're right - it was making me pretty hungry too. I need to hear about more GOOD choices to make.

Diane Sue - I love the pics of your 5th wheel. And of course you look gorgeous! :)

Okay, back to work for me. If I didn't type such a novel I'd have more time for personals. Sorry!

Dallys: It was sooo good. I had some black grapes a little later, and then a pb sandwich w/an instant raman soup. The raman soup is not a very healthy choice, but it is soothing :)

Debbie and Diane Sue: Cool, I'll do some cardio in about an hour. I don't think I have the flu ... it's all in my sinuses

Marcia: Nice to meet you! :)
