Morning Maniacs -

Just got up. I was at work sort of late cuz the manager couldn't balance. Counted my drawer for the first time and worked the front register all night cuz I'm gonna be on my own Sunday. It is boring at night. Not busy enough for me! I like to be busy. They wanted me to come in today, but I had that job interview pending......so didn't know what to do. I said I couldn't go in and I come home to zero messages on the recorder........no interview! Darn and I could have used the hours at the store!

Off to do a weighted/cardio DVD and maybe some yoga....although it's getting late. Be back later.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Better today after news of daughter smoking now. Life still goes on and so must workouts. So gonna do chest/back/abs and try like heck to stay on track this week. Thanks for all your support in trying to keep my head above water during this...was rough yesterday. Really rough.

I started my workout with the HI/LO portion of Hi lo dome then did the all interval premix omitting the w/up. I finished with Slo Mo chest, biceps and triceps. I did change up some of the weights today.
chest around the worlds stayed w/ 8#
decline bench press 40# bar same as Amy
incline chest flies w/ internal rotation 10# 1 set 12# 2 sets
staggered pushups same as Amy
bis contraction concentration curls 40# barbell
biceps bonfire 10# dumbbells
lying biceps curl silver dynaband 1 set, changed to challenge pro blue because it is thicker and provided more resistance.
tris incline bench french curls 20# 1 set 25# 2 sets
band push down I used the blue challenge pro for my scarf LOL
decline bench triceps dips same as Amy

I didn't take a break today on the workout. Made my puppies wait on breakfast. I just wanted to get done so I can get some other things done.

Lora, I like to be busy too. Standing around can make for a long day. I bet with holidays coming you will be busier:) I finally got an e mail from Lush last night saying my order was about to be shipped:eek: I can't believe it took them a week.

Charlotte, glad to hear that you are doing better today.

Good morning!

This morning I did Imax 2. I wanted some more cardio that got my HR up there. Felt good. I will need to watch the step now for awhile though b/c my hip can't take too much step. :( It sure was fun to do some step where I actually knew the choreography though. Made me feel coordinated for a change. :) Tomorrow I think I need to do the new split workout with shoulders and back. I need to watch my posture.

Lora - Diane Sue makes a good point. I bet things will pick up with the holidays.

Char - I'm glad you're feeling better today.

Diane Sue - Great workout! Any decisions on a machine?

Well, I ended up getting the interview! I was just finishing my yoga and the phone rang. I go at 2:30 pm but I'm going over Mom's for eggs for lunch in a bit and she's going to drive to find the place with me. I'm not familiar with the suburb it's in and my Mom was born and raised there. Last job interview I had, I think I blew cuz I couldn't find the place and had to call a couple of times. I have a HORRID sense of direction.

Anyway, did Patrick Goudeau's Hard Work Conditioning. Workout was 69" long and I burned 499 calories. This was a bit on the easier side for me, and I pushed it a bit here and there to up the intensity, but I wanted to stay somewhat low impact for my feet. This was fun and innovative. I like Patrick alot. Next time I'll add ankle weights for the standing leg work and up my weights a bit. Wasn't sure what to use....although this was a real leg fryer cuz it was 1 compound move after another. I have a gift cert for Collage, so I think I'll get another one of Patricks...although I can't decide which one.

I also did Yoga Shakti...only 30". I did Dancing Warrior 3, Standing Flow 1 and Supine Poses and it felt really good. I wanted to do some inversions, but the phone rang and it was the interview....so I had to get moving.

I had a protein smoothie post workout and just had an apple, Danon Light & Fit Yogurt and 10 almonds for a snack. I'm gonna have eggs for lunch.

NOt sure what to expect at this interview. It's for an aluminum fabricating place in a sort of bad section of town by the old Steel Mill's. Should be interesting.

Have great workouts everyone.

Just got back from the interview. NOt sure how it went. The office manager was a bit rough around the edges. I think she was worried that I'd have a problem working around a bunch of men that swear. I told her I like working with Men......then sort of realized what I said...:). She said it's much different than a "hospital environment".....but I don't care. Men are easy to work with! The guy that was sitting in the secretaries chair was sort of hot. Sort of a bad boy...sort of not. Had short hair, pierced ear, baggie jeans and a sweater and tattoos peaking out of his sweater on his hands and up on his neck. That could make for an interesting work enviroment for someone like me!! LOL!! }( }(

We'll see if this one is meant to be! Good benefits and half decent pay.

Cathe and P90X??? WHHHAAAATTTT???? For real????

Alright. I am gonna post my workout tomorrow. Did good. DH home now. No time. Eats was right on! Did good. Have a nice night. Tada~

Suz - there is an agency that is actually doing the hiring for them and she said they are interviewing thru this Friday....so, I'd assume next week? I'm not gonna get my hopes up....as I don't want to be "let down" yet again.

Diane Sue - do you think Amy's new step tape would be too much impact for my feet if I'm trying to do lower? I was thinking about just trying to learn the first couple combos for cardio in the AM cuz the bike is broken and the DH will be on the Ellipitcal.

I have to go read the Blog now.

Kelly Coffey-Meyer fans - here's what she's said she's thinking of doing next --

Here's what she's thinking about:

What's next?
I have a few ideas: Kickboxing(no step), Burn 300 in 20 (3, 20 min bootcamp workouts that you can do seperately or together : depending on your time you can burn 300, 600 or 900 calories), Sculpt Intervals and lastly 20/20/20: 20 min step, 20 min strength and 20 hips, buns and abs.

All 4 are fun, effective and non-stop with little to no equipment needed.

But...I still need to work them out.

Kelly

They all sound good to me. Go Kelly go!!!!

rqs424, I missed your check in yesterday and wanted to say welcome.

Lora, thanks for the heads up on Kelly's ideas for upcoming workouts. I really do enjoy the nonstep portion of her latest Step Kickbox workout.

Randi, I think Cathe's new series looks good. I am disappointed in the fact that I really wanted the boxing workout she had announced before that she would be doing.

It seems I keep posting while everyone else is or something.

Suz, I will research the sewing machines a little while and look for a good deal. Maybe dd will get one first and I can try hers LOL I know I want something with ease on buttonholes, I like to have seam finishing, used to really like the stretch stich but have not had it in years, the sleeve option is nice too. Maybe I just need everything. One I had mnay years ago did have all of that and the embroidery. The thing I really did like about my Singer was the bobbin winding without unthreading and rethreading the whole machine.

Charlotte, enjoy your time with your dh this evening.

Lora, I have only done the quick nrg premix on Amy's new dvd. I am reasonably sure you can keep the impact down with this one.
