Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did WSFL cardio. I did 7 rounds of 60/60 ..got my HR up to 162 (still not stellar) and then for the 20 minute segment, I did Strike Zone and actually struggled with it a bit. My HR stayed around 70-75%. Cardio was 53" and I burned 463 with cooldown stretch included.

Linda - I posted to you on last night's thread.

Deb - are you still watching GH? What do you think of it lately? Lulu's been having a bigger part. Let me know how much I owe for my Avon. thanks. Heard a half decent new song. It's from 2008...so not sure you can download it yet. The band was Lynam and the song was Save my Soul. Heard a few others, but didn't jot the names down yet. I'll keep you posted. I tried to find the Pop Evil CD on Amazon...but obvisouly it's not released yet. I love that song Hero. Want the CD. I got Motley Crue Sts of LA, ShineDown's The Sound of Madness and 3-Doors Down lately. I really like a couple songs on 3Doors Down that rock...but most of it is too mellow for me. Motley Crue's is a pretty decent workout CD, and I love Shinedown...although it has some slower stuff on it too. Their latest single is Devour if you want to download it.

I'm in a bit of a funk. Everyone at work was in a bad mood yesterday and it sort of dragged me down. Plus, the party is over at work and it's more of a normal envirnoment with catty women and all!! LOL. Also, just got told I start working Saturdays........so I work this Saturday....6 days in a row! Joy. I've been scanning the help wanted to see if anything appeals to me. I'm still not very happy with no benefits and I'm getting a bit bored filing day in and day out and it doesn't seem they are going to be teaching me much more here. At least I have a job. Not trying to sound negative here....just venting.

Have great workouts everyone.

Deb - just heard a really cool song ....again from 08''....so not sure if it's downloadable yet. Tranquilized by Ekotren

I finished my cardio and some abwork. I started with Kimberly Spreen's Absolute Kickbox Combat premix stopping at the post cardio cooldown, then I did Amy Bento's In the Ring med ball interval premix skipping the w/up and stretch, Amy Bento's Kickbox Extreme Intervals premix(no wup or str) then the bonus bag two times, finished with Absolute Kickbox post cardio cooldown and core.I burned 658 calories. I am going to do Kelly Coffey's 30 minutes to Fitness in a bit doing biceps, shoulders, and triceps. I have to call and see when my biopsy is scheduled later this morning. BBL

Hello all,

Crazy busy at work this morning. Clients in the morning and afternoon as well. I did biceps at home with supersets of obliques. Nothing much else to report with weights. I also did Vol. #4 of CC on the elliptical. Felt like a mad woman. It was great!

Back to work.

Have a fit day!!!

Laura

I finished my workout. I did Kelly Coffey's 30 min to fitness two times through using the low cardio active rests the first time and the second time I used the abs active rests. Workout was 54 min and I burned 365 calories. I used 15 and 20# dumbbells through out the workout. My arms were a little fatigued from the med ball, bodybar w/ weighted gloves that I used in the cardio. Total calories burned today was 1,023.

Morning Maniacs,

Just did LIC timesaver cardio premix this morning on very sore hamstrings!

Char - I missed what happened, but I am really sorry to hear about your back. I hope it starts getting better for you!

Lora - I will keep you posted on the TT workouts. I can tell you while the supersets did get me huffing and puffing they are no match for the WSFL metabolic circuits. You know 10 minutes no breaks is tough. I know what you mean about feeling like your not hitting everything, I felt that way with WSFL, but I didn't lose anything either, so I am willing to try TT for a while as is and see how it goes. Sorry about your job, hope it gets better or you find something different. I think filing is one of my least favorite things to do!

Debbie - Nice workout! As usual!

Lora - I didn't have time to complete what I was saying to you this morning. Hope you see this. You got some good CD's lately. The only one I've bought is the new one from One Republic. I like them but the CD isn't all that great. Only like three songs on there that are any good. I really wish Breaking Benjamin and Linkin Park would put out some new music. Also, sorry to hear about how your work is going. That sucks. I hate a boring job. Mine is that way lately. I wish I could become a Personal Trainer and just do that for a living.

Linda - I just don't have the time or money to become certified. Plus other then my home, I have no where to train anyone. And I don't want to work for a gym like Golds or anything like that. I want to set my OWN rules.

Afternoon,

I’m back ARGH……..I came in at noon, I couldn’t get up. I will check back tomorrow, so much work to caught up on!. Have a great day everybody.

Wow, that Tofu Mousse is good. I got it out of Tosca's Clean Eating Diet Book. It's about the only thing I've made out of it that is really good. This is the macro breakdown: 266 calories; 16 g. fat; 5.12 g. protein; 30.5 g. carbs. Kind of high in fat and carbs but it's so chocolatey and good. You actually use 3/4 c. dark chocolate chips in this. I can't believe it's actually a clean eating food???

Anyways, if I remember correctly, here is the recipe:

Tofu Mousse

3/4 c. dark chocolate chips
12 oz. Silken (Silky??) Tofu
1/2 c. warmed skim milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Melt the chocolate chips (I used my oven yesterday so I just put it in a stoneware cup and let it melt in there after I let the oven cool a bit. It worked very well.) Put the tofu, warmed milk, chocolate and vanilla in a blender (I used my Magic Bullet) and mix it well. It said to use a fine strainer and strain it and then put it in bowls, but I didn't. Not sure why you'd have to strain it. I put it in 4 bowls in equal portions. It is VERY good! Definitely satisfy's the sweet tooth.

Debbie - The mousse sounds good! About the personal training. It doesn't cost a outrageous amount to get certified. Depending on how much study material you buy you can do it pretty inexpensively. As far as time, most agencies let you take as little or as much time as you want. And you don't have to train people in your home, train them in theirs and some gyms let you train your clients at their facilities for a small fee per session which you can just pass on to your client. Just some thoughts!

Deb - is it too late to add the lip gloss that smells like Marshmallow to my order? I'm sorry, I don't have the item number, but I think it's the Juice Gem's. Please let me know.

Ally - I'm going to PM you to ask a favor.
