Morning Maniacs-

This morning I did CIA - Athletic Step Jam with Sharon Money-Twombly. Workout was 62" and I burned 546 calories. My back's bothering me a bit from the impact. I'm going to need to do some low impact the rest of the week for my back and for sake of not getting another stress fracture in my foot. I have to be careful, as I don't want to end up with another one from too much impact.

The music in this workout was good. I thought it would be easier to follow for an athletic step DVD. I really didn't care for the warmup or first combo, but then it got to be more fun. My HR only stayed 130 for the first part of it and I was bummed....but 20-30 into the workout it started going higher. I think once I learn it, I can work it harder...but I wasn't expecting to have a learning curve. I didn't try the ab work or Ball section yet. No time.

Toasy - Got the package yesterday. Thanks so much. I sniffed the pheremone vial and it doesn't smell like much in the vial...but maybe it does more on the skin? Thanks again.

Deb - Did you ever get Prodigal Son to download from Sevendust? Maybe if it's not yet been released, you can't download it? I just heard it on the TV. It's okay...but not as good as some of their stuff. Do you like the band Drowning Pool? Do you send any Avon catalogs out to peeps? If so, I'd like one....as I need some Lip Gloss. Let me know.

I'm really stressin' out about getting my weight and equipment ready for Cathe's new system. Not sure if I have enough weight..proper set up. My squat rack's in the basement and I'll have to run downstairs for that and since my DH lifts down there, I can't be in his way. I wish I had money to buy that Walmart bench with Squat rack. I'm not sure I'll get the pullup bar that Cathe's going to sell...although I could use the part for the bench rack.....but not sure I'll buy it just for modified pullups when I have the chin up bar and can use the chair or can do a modified pullup with my body bar lying over two chairs. The other option for the modified pullups are doing them on the Treadmill like Barry teaches you in Barry's Bootcamp.

Suz - if you're around today......today is my first day as an official employee at my new job. I saw your post the other day congratulating me. Thanks. However, just wanted to mention that there WAS a period of time the office manager wasn't sure I was going to be "good enough" for the job. She straight out told me that. She's still not 100% satisfied with me and says I need lots of improvement....so I don't really feel all that great about things.....but at least I have a job now! I'm grateful for that.
 
Good Morning Maniacs!!!

My legs were so toasted last night that I just tossed and turned all night and my body gets really hot after a fierce workout like that..always has. I don't know if anyone else experiences a dramatic rise in body temp after working legs vigorously??? So I even dreamed that I was in the hospital. LMAO! I woke up to get on scale...down 119!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew I would be. I am keeping it real again so tomorrow should be 118.

Today is Shoulders/Traps. I would do cardio, but need to let legs thaw out and will be out and about shopping with Coni today anyhow so I will just do more walking in the mall.

My EATS will be closely the same as yesterday:

Meal 1: Kelloggs Protein Plus cereal, yogurt with soy nuts
Meal 2: Tuna Fish (I will eat this driving down the road to meet Coni)
Meal 3: Clean lunch with Coni (probably meat and salad)
Meal 4: Protein Shake and 3 eggs
Meal 5: Tuna Fish
Meal 6: Protein Shake with only water mixed in.

Glad you got it! Yeah, that Super Sexy doesn't have much smell. Thought same thing. Suppose to work though. You put it on first and then add your favorite perfume over it.

I am glad you are an official employee now at your job, but that woman should show more gratitude. Sounds rude to me.
 
Good morning!! I am so sore from KPC yesterday! I love it! I really put my "all" into that WO and it payed off. I won't WO until later this afternoon, as my schedule is full with doc appt and lunch with my friend. I am not sure what yet I will do. Gonna wait and see how the body feels later as to wether it will be cardio (prob step) or weights. Just sorta passing the time till I get my P90x!!!!

Hi Lora!- Good to hear you have a job. I am sure you will do well.

Toasty- I think I am gonna kinda copy your meals. I need to lol. Guess I better stop at the store and stock up on my eggs. Is the shake good with only water? And do you put anything in your tuna?

Hey Meg,

Eat the tuna right out of can or the packages they have now. No crackers, no mayonnaise..straight up MEAT! Wash it down with some mint tea. hehe. The shake I mix with ff milk during the day. At night, I don't want the extra fat/sugar so I mix with water instead. It ain't the best tasting, but you wake up sexy!!! hehe

Yesterday I just sprinkled a little seasoning and a tad of pepper. It was good. Thanks....totally stopping at the grocery store today!

Thanks. Yes that is Wayne. I def sparkle when I am around him lol! Nice for a change haha. Very happy.

Well, I can't stress enough the importance of good socks. Today I did Cardio Coach Press Play and couldn't do the last challenge due to my stupid socks. Right after challenge 3 the back of my left ankle started burning because my shoe was rubbing on it. I've had these shoes for a while and they have never hurt me. I couldn't figure out what was going on. I tightened the laces, I loosened the lacces. Nothing worked. So I finished the 4th challenge and stopped the workout.

Here my sock is so worn that it had a hole in it and I had blood everywhere. It was so gross! Needless to say, I need some new socks pronto!

Anyways, I still had a good workout. My legs felt like lead, though, because it's been over a week since I've done cardio.

Sorry to hear about your foot. That is weird though that your foot started to bleed. I have problems with shoe laces untying at the worst times and yesterday while on elliptical my toe and bottom of feet really hurt after pounding with heavy weights prior.

Yes, I am LOVING this workout. I have always preferred controlled movements better then fast speeds and feel like I can take my time more and not rush. Always did have a thing for one body part workouts too. Still gonna do cardio with the workouts, but I just can't today..fried legs.
 
This morning I did Tracey Staehle's Cardio Step Mix 2 stopping at the abs and Slow and Heavy shoulders. I had to take my granddaughters to school so will go back and do Slow & Heavy Legs. I have the new grandbaby coming for awhile this morning so wanted to get done early.

Morning:)

By the time I got home yesterday, I was not feeling good at all. I have this deep cough in my chest and throat; and it hurts when I cough. I may have gotten it from my GS I heard him coughing Saturday morning, him coughing worried me so, I asked him what was going on he said he had a cold a week ago.

I took Night Quill last night and went straight too bed, woke up feeling drowsy.

My co worker is trying to send me home for today, can’t blame her, NO one wants to be sick,. I’m going to take her up on that after I finish getting these reports out going home take more NQ and hopefully I feel better tomorrow

Morning Maniacs,

First I'll correct yesterday's port the Chest Presses were 5/5/5 at 108#, not 8/8/8 and the Dumbell Press for Shoulders was 5/5/5 at 30's for a total of 60# not 30#. Today was cardio and did CC#3 was difficult because for some stupid reason my mp3 player wouldn't play them in order I had to manually switching the tracks. But anyway this is how it went, 45 minutes, 3.76 miles, 157 average heart rate and 626 calories burned.

Linda - I was going to tell you that you needed to move up with the chest press if you were doing 8 reps with that weight! LOL!!! I knew what you meant about the shoulder presses. Nice job! 30's are hard, aren't they? I find I'm on my tip toes when I get to the top of the movement. Not sure why.
 
Debbie - 108# is the most I have ever pressed and there is no way in h*** that I could possibly push that up eight times in a row! At least not yet! LOL! Even at five reps I had to fight to keep my back down on the last rep. Yeah, thirty's are hard for shoulders, I am impressed with how much my form has improved- guess that means it getting easier! :p Even with the bicep curls yesterday my form was spot on all the way to the end and I couldn't be happier!:+

Linda - You did well with the bicep curls too. It took me A LONG TIME to get to 60#. Ask Char! LOL! I drove her nuts with it because she can curl that with ease.

Low on calories again. Gotta figure this out before I start losing muscle.

Well just got back from having some fun with Coni. We ate at Red Lobster and had some fun in the mall. I had scrimp scampi and crab legs plus broccoli and one cheesy biscuit, but will burn it off. Now got to get ready to workout. Late start.
