Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Tues Sept 19

Hey Maniacs!!!
Am checkin in kinda late this afternoon. I was at track practice after school. I've done indoor track every year of middle school (6th, 7th and now 8th) and want to continue in high school. I love it. Last year I did the half mile, 240, and shot put. This year I wanna still do the half, 240, and high jump this time. I did it in 6ht grade once and was really good, but one time I bashed my back in the bar and still have a scar there. I didn't do it last year but wanna give it another shot;-)

One thing I wanna tell you all. I quit gymnastics today. Its just way to much for me right now. I mean if I stop I'll have about 18-20 hours extra for the gym/track/school (which comes last;-)) I still will go to open gym (which is when you pay $8 an hour to use the place to do whatever you want) on fridays just to keep up some of the skills I enjoy doing.

Anyway...Todays workout is legs and abs. No cardio today. I tried posting my workout yesturday but my computer was SOOOO DAMN SLOW that it wouldn't post and I had to restart adn all that crap. So i didn't post. I don't have too much time right now cuz I'm going off to the gym for about 3 hours. If I can I'll post my workout later.

Debbie- Great results you maniac!!! Your right on target girl;-)

Thanks Marietta! I seen it. I don't check out the Open forum much, never have the time.

Lora - whatever you decide about CC, just let me know. I appreciate it!

Hey peoples!
I just finished a 3 mile walk with the dog. It's soooo nice out today. Then I did Kenpo X. Stretch and rest tomorrow.

Diane Sue, Yes! We bought the hot tub. We'll pick it up this weekend. It's a 4 person and pretty basic, but it's a high end brand (sundance I think) and we got a pretty good deal. It's 3 yrs old.

Adri, Gymnastics does take so much time. At least you are able to use the gym and keep up on the fun part of it, all the things you love to do. My niece quit also. She went for 5 hr. pratices at one point! She was a level 9 and just totally got burned out. It's a tough commitment and you have no life other than gymnastics.

Hey to everyone else!

Good evening!

Don't know if anyone is still around, but...

Debbie - it was me on the CompuTrainer. It is something that I put my bike on - like a regular trainer - and hook it up to the computer. It tells me how far I've gone, how fast, output in terms of watts, cadence, etc. And I can set it up for different rides - it has lots of courses in there from different centuries and triathlons. It's pretty cool. I don't have to think - just keep riding. And I can watch tv while doing it. It simulates hills, flats, downhills. I love it! But it has a "person" you ride against and she kept kicking my butt and it would make me so angry I would actually restart the program - as if she were real. So I slowed her down and now she can't beat me. Hehehe. I wish I could do that in real life.

Dallys - I saw that you were thinking of going vegetarian too. Do you feel any differently since quitting red meat 6 months ago? I think I felt better when I didn't eat animals, but maybe it was all in my head. :) I can't wait to get my cookbooks!

I'm quitting my stinkin' inhaler again. I have had migraines waaaay too much. As much as I'd like to think that cleaning up my diet more will do the trick, I think it's the inhalers. I'm gonna call my neurologist and see if he can recommend on that doesn't cause headaches. I went to the website for the one I'm currently on (that I was put on because the others gave me migraines) and the second side effect is headaches! My lung doctor is really nice, but I don't think she understands the whole migraine issue too well. If she did she would probably not have prescribed the current one. Oh well, I'd rather struggle breathing during workouts (since I'm used to it) than have so many migraines. They suck!

I'm going to go see if I can find some cheese to go with my WHINE!

Nighty night everyone!

Suz

I did not get in the shoulder workout today that I was hoping to get. Too many things going on. I took my puppy and had her weighed to get her canine advantix today. She has hit 67# and 27inches. She will be 6 months the 28th. Poor puppy is limping again. I think she hit her leg on something. She is so clumsy. Poor puppy. All legs and then she gets excited and takes everything with her. Our internet and cable was down again this evening. We went out on the motorcycle for a ride and came home for dinner.

Suz, I am sorry you are dealing with migraines. I know how it is to feel like I want to beg and look everywhere for an answer to bring relief. Hopefully a change in medication will help. My dd got her best results from a neurologist.

Diane Sue - Wow - I can't beleive your puppy weighs 65# already! She's growing so fast. I hope her little leg (or big leg!) feels better soon.

Oh my gosh I feel so much better. When I did that last post it was weird b/c it was like my migraine intensified really fast and then WHAM - it was gone. How weird! I'm SO happy. I always feel like I have a new lease on life when it's gone. Woo hoo! So sorry to whine. I know people have serious medical problems and I know I'm really lucky to be as healthy as I am. My neurologist is pretty good so I'm sure he'll be able to help. His daughter gets migraines so he's quite sympathetic to them.
