Lora - Sorry you are so stressed at your new job. I was really hoping this one would make you happy. Sounds like this job is as stressful as your last job.

Char - Have fun with your plyo's you crazy woman! How anyone can like plyos as much as you do is beyond me! :)

Diane Sue - You'll get through it, I have no doubt! Have fun with P90 three days in a row! OUCH!

Anne - You should be fine for that amount of time. You will lose some muscle but it takes about 7 years for muscles to actually break down. Once you get started back the muscle memory will be there. Don't sweat it too much, you'll be fine. Cut back on your eats and maybe do some walking. :)

Meg - My back is ok, thanks! Hope you are doing better. :)

Dallys - I hear the premixes of B&G are good. I'll have to try those too. Funny about your dh!

Missy - My back is good, as long as it doesn't progressively get worse I know it will be ok. We got snow too! Woo Hoo! :)

Suz - OMG, I would be so pissed! That is wrong and I can't believe she was stupid enough to leave it on for three days. Unreal! I can do elevated deads without too much problems, as long as I stay real light with the weights. I don't do them often, though. Probably should have only done one set instead of both. Oh well.

Amber - Family law practice? Wow, you go girl!!
 
Amber- that is how I was diagnosed. They thought it was lymphoma. I will take Sarcoidosis over that anyday. Thanks, some days I just want a break from it all, but i keep trucking along. That is why exercise is so important to me, keep my lungs healthy. I go for breathing tests tomorrow to check them out again.

Well, my friend and I managed our walk with 5 kids. We took turns pulling a wagon with 3, and pushing a stroller with two. The hills were killer, so all in all, for just a walk, it was a good WO! We hope to do it atleast 3-4 days a week. Nice to hang out with someone too.

Lora- that is exactly where it hurt, right hip area. Maybe how I slept, cuz I didn't feel anything while running, but you never know. Just thankful it is better today.

Not sure about more cardio, probably resst the hip. I got the walk in atleast. So I will do UB today.

Missy - I'm glad you're feeling better. And thanks for offering to beat up said co-worker. Unfortch we're both managers. But I did inform her of the "heater rules". :)

I didn't even know next week was a recovery week. That means more YOGA. Woo hoo!!!!!!

Charlotte - I forgot to tell you, my lats are sore today too. What gives? So are my obliques. How strange.

Amber, yes, I'm pretty sure it was a sign that I was not to be having chocolate cake. Darn it! A little something coming your way.

If we came up with a shirt, it should say.... "Hardcore Hotties Have No Fear....we go the extremes and we aim to reach our goal" JMHO. The shirt should be pink and have lighting bolts all over it

Good one Char! What does the Cheetahs T-Shirt say and look like? The "Hardcore Maniacs (or is that hotties?)" have to out due the "Cheetahs"! I'm thinking Camo with 2 30#ers on the front (that doesn't sound right does it ROFLMAO!) Well, that will be Anne's T-shirt!

Back to work...Have a sugar craving happening. Where's that upside down Chocolate Cake?

Anne- Suz was carrying a Chocolate cake and she tripped over her dog or something and the cake went flying and landed upside down. Suz sprawled out on the kitchen floor and hurt her knee. It wouldn't have been so bad, but She hadn't even had a bite of the cake yet.
Bought and paid for...I like that! I did read the Purina diet thread. I was all sucked in until the butt licking part. DOH!

I finally got my workout in. I did Cardio Coach #3 no str 3.25 mi., then TJ Cardio Party 3 no w/up, Ab Ripper X with resistance, Amy Bento APX core, Yoga Shatki Dancing warrior4,and inversions. I wanted to do more yoga but spent an hour talking to my brother on the phone this morning. I had not talked to him in awhile so we had some catching up to do. My grandchildren are outside with the puppies sliding around:) I will have to make them come in and warm up pretty soon. I need to do some work around here. I feel like I could use a nap.

Charlotte, I don't think I would like my house guests watching me workout. I would close the door :7 You really should make him do it too!

Suz, if you want to warm up Yoga is not going to do it :7 How about plyo X? Really that was bad leaving that heater on for 3 days. I bet her area was toasty.

Anne, from what I have experienced it takes quite some time to lose muscle. Muscles do have memory of sorts. When you start back they will respond quickly and before you know it you will be right back where you were.

Deb, oh I hope not long. It gets annoying when it lasts to long. I hate the missing/switched baby stories. The one on AMC with Bianca and Babe was way too long.
I do have to agree that anyone with Carly is just weird. I think she should be with SOnny. I think Alexis and Jax should be together. Sam just quit ELQ cuz evil Traci got some dirt on her, but I missed what the dirt was. Maybe something about her mom? I will havve to look it up. Liz is supposed to proclaim her love for Jason soon, GAG ME! Oh and Lucky just found out that Maxi lied about being preggo.

Just finished plyo's. I thought I would be creative and put on some black cat perfume before I got started. lol. Worked it to Prince...old tunes. One song about shaking that a$$ while doing the twist combo..perfect timing. lol. Had fun. Can't lock my door from inside so I got to just tell FIL to stay out..simple as that. I had dd and her boyfriend come inside to do the tuck jumps with him just for the fun of it. We all had fun. Her boyfriend couldn't stop laughing.

Ugh --- I just got home about 20 minutes ago. I'm not feeling very positive about my new job at the moment. I'm starting to seriously doubt myself and my abilities.

I need a REALLY fun leg workout to do tomorrow with both lying and standing Leg work. I also need to add in abs and get it all done in about 70 minutes. I did Legs & Glutes last week...........any suggestions.....and I need FUN, as I'm depressed.

Hi! I'm highjacking your thread to ask a question to all you buff, fit ladies.

I recently lost some weight (as was needed) by adhering to a strict meal plan created for me by a pro body builder (no, I'm not into body building - I just knew he'd know how to get me slimmer in a relatively short amount of time.)

In essence, I cut out all white flour, sugar, dairy, and fruit. I upped my protein A TON, and stopped my diet soda habit completely by drinking nothing but water.

I'd now like to stop losing, maybe even gain a bit back, but I in no means want to go back to how it was before. See, before I ate whatever I wanted and usually in a mass quantity. I'm an all-or-nothing person so if I'd eat a Little Debbie snack cake for breakfast (with a Mountain Dew), I'd think to myself, 'Well, Jill, you already blew it today!' and I'd eat the ENTIRE box of Little Debbie's.) Up until late Oct. of '06 (which is when I began the meal plan), I consumed a lot of fast food, tons of sugar every day, and very little protein. I did workout a lot and am blessed with a somewhat high metabolism, so I weighed about 155. Since starting my new meal plan, I've lost about 30 lbs. I would like to slowly add foods back in or at least up my caloric intake, but am terrified I'll go all or nothing again. While I don't want to be tired, hungry, and cold all the time, I don't want to be unhealthy and chubby either. And I don't want to be restrictive or obsessive either.

My question? Should I try doing one cheat meal a week, one cheat DAY a week? What do you HARDCORE ladies do in terms of your clean eating/cheating ratio?? What do you suggest? I know each person's different, but I'm just looking for some advice from some ladies whose bodies and attitudes I admire.

Any and all advice is MUCH appreciated!!!!!!

Hi Jillybean - I use to do one cheat a week - Saturday's. Ate junk from the moment I got up until I went to bed. Drove my system crazy and then I felt guilty. I have recently just done a cheat meal and a cheat snack on Saturdays and it works for me. I don't feel guilty and I can eat something I like and not feel guilty about.

I believe we all need a cheat every once in a while. I don't think once a week is unreasonable.

I agree. I try to do well all week. I work at a diner on Sat and that is usually when I will eat bad (still nothing fried though), or if I know we are taking the boys out to eat, I save it for then. It is usually pizza, or Friendly's, which means ice cream! I try to limit it to that. If I go a little more, I make up for it, and do better the next day. I never TOTALLY deprive myslef. I also keep it in moderation, meaning not the WHOLE box of snacks LOL!!

Good luck and congrats on the weight loss! If you wouldn't mind, I would be interested in some of your meal menus. I need to keep clean and some new ideas would be nice. Still recovering from teh holiday cookies (my downfall lol)!!

Lora - Sorry you're not having fun at work. My job SUCKS right now too. My boss is an @ss. There. I said it. I've been holding back for months and months but it's out there now. He just is. I can't keep it in any longer. I thought he was changing but nope. He's 65 and you would think people would actually mature by then. I suppose not. We were actually yelling at each other in my office today. And I NEVER yell at my boss! DH always tells me I need to stand up to him or he'll keep walking all over me. I sure didn't mean to yell though. :eek: He just pushed me over the edge. I would have walked away but he was in MY office. Next time I'll point to the door so he can leave. :p No more yelling from me. I will keep my cool. Makes you look much better than yelling. But it sure felt good! As Cesar Millan would say, I need to be calm assertive. We have to go round and round about something else tomorrow so please send me your calm assertive vibes.

Dallys - Chocolate upside down cake. Hahahahahaha!!! That's funny!

Diane Sue - I have to wear long sleeves when I do yoga. I'm always cold. I do warm up for a bit but I have to put long sleeves back on.

Jillybean - Congrats on your success. I wish I could help, but as you can see by my chocolate cake, I'm probably not a good one to ask. I've been a bit bad lately. :)
