Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Cardio Coach 1 on the Treadmill followed by CIA Criss Cross Cardio (this has become my favorite kickboxing workout lately). I also did about 10 minutes of the Capoiera leg work on the CIA DVD and then I added on Lotte Berk's Essential Blast (10" blast). Total workout was 1 hour and 50 minutes and I burned 740 calories. I then did Yoga Synthesis - Gentle Yoga - Sukha Vinyasa 55". I happened to leave my HR monitor on during the yoga and when I took the set mode off - my calorie burn was 1086. I sometimes leave it on during yoga and this is the first time it ever hit the 1000 mark. Guess there's something to be said for after burn!

I also did an Iyengar yoga routine 20" yesterday for the neck and shoulders and then in the evening I did Yoga for Stress Relief with Barbara Benagh....Mood Uplift premix since I was so depressed.

My body is feeling pretty sore all over. That Tae Bo with the bar really works your core and back, legs etc. My legs are toasty as could be today. My hamstrings seem to get super tight from running...so tomorrow I'll do a yoga focused on hamstrings, and I'll probably have to do my sciatica yoga premix.

Have great workouts. I've got to eat breakfast and get my shower. I'll be around.

Meg - I wanted to let you know that I checked Amazon for my Hollywood Trainer DVD and it is now not being shipped until mid March....so just wanted you to know so you didn't think I forgot about you.

I feel alot better today. I had fun with my WO last night too. Not sure yet what is up for today. You all will be the first to know.

Lora- that is some afterburn! Cool about the DVD's! Let me know whenever.

Char- well, I am not really surprised that your chest is sore! I think I would be frightened if they weren't!

Dallys- hope your doggy is feeling better. Any idea what is causing it? I know to much milk will get Toby.

Someday we should all try and plan a GTG. It would totally rock if we all hung out together for a weekend or something.


Randi- I would have done the same thing with DM!! That's hilarious! How could you ignore a Cathe WO, right???? LOL!!

Lora, have you ever tried Aromaleigh Primer? I was wondering how it works. I ordered a sample jar. To try it.

Toasty - yes, I've gone insane lately ......I guess I felt guilty about eating that chocolate the other day. Meant to ask you ....do you have any other kickboxing workouts besides Kenpo X? I'm asking cuz I think they work your obliques and upper back well......and I remember you saying you thought you had a problem in that area. I don't recall you ever mentioning doing kickboxing other than Kenpo X. It might do you some good to add some into your rotation more often. Have you used weighted gloves with KenpoX? that would help also. If you don't have gloves - do you have any really light hand weights to use?

Randi - Yes, I meant to comment about your Drill Max workout! You naughty girl! That's funny. I'm surprised your Mom didn't catch you. You sound like you have a good Mom........she always seems to buy you good presents. Any Mom who buys Cathe and Bare Escentuals for gifts can adopt me any time they want!
 
Diane Sue - Primer? for what ...eyes? I have the eye base...but I don't know what primer your talking about. The only primer I've ever tried is Smashboxes cuz I got it free in a kit. I'm really not into wearing foundation...other than minerals. If I don't wear my minerals, I usually just wear concealer and a little powder so my blush goes on smoothly.....as I don't really need coverage on my face any where else. Is it a liquid primer for your face?

Anne - I bet your happy you get to do some leg work today!

Meg - I agree that Tracey's core workout is a good one. I like the isometric holds.....get's me sorer than traditional ab work.
 
I got my new Saucony Cross trainers in black and purple yesterday. They are some comfortable.

Maeghan, I do add a little resistance to Tracey's workout. Generally not more than 10#. And I don't use it throughout. It is tough on it's own.

Suz, I had to laugh at the power sprayer sculpting:7 Normally I would work that body part an extra time each week. Or when I finish a workout add a few more sets for that area. It does not seem like it would be flab as you have good bicep developement. Are you still doing P90X? Maybe on one of the other days you could do some additional triceps work. If that doesn't work try adding some endurance work for that area on the off day from heavier. I guess what I am saying is if something needs work I train it more but still make sure there are some recovery days in between.

Have I ever expressed my hate for leg training days? I HATE them! Especially Cathe's leg training days. She's just plain brutal, simple as that. This morning I did GS Legs and I went up in weight with some of the exercises and down with a some to even it out. This is what I did:

Barbell Squats: 70# (went up from 65# last week) 3 sets/16 reps w/bonus on the 3rd set
Front Lunges: 20's (went up from 15's last week) 3 sets/8 reps w/bonus on last set)
Rear Lunges: 15's - 2 sets/lots of reps
Plie Squats: 40# (went down from 45# because I couldn't do the bonus last week) 2 sets/16 reps then pulses
Leg Press: 15's (used weights instead of band, made a huge difference)
Elevated deads: 10's - 2 sets
Slow Motion Lunges: 12's
Calf Raises (this is my favorite calf workout, I always feel these for days afterwards)

Did some floor work but ran out of time so wasn't able to do the entire thing. I did:
Shin Pulls w/ball
Glute Raises w/ball
One-Leg Roll Outs - I HATE these!
Glute Tucks w/Band
Cross Band Outer Thigh Splits (LOVE these!)

Workout was 1:12, was in my zone for 28 and burned 275 calories!

Sounds good DS and Lora. My sis called yesterday, and she has been going to the gym and doing WO's before her classes and she said she did 20 crunches on the machine and could not believe how sore she was. So i told her to come home and do 45 min of TRacey with me!}(
I am really proud of her for exercising. I hope she keeps it up after her training is done. So good for you.

So hard to have two dog packs in the house. Speck just went after my FIL's dog as the dog went for Specks food(he has three of them). Been happening more. His other dog takes Specks bones and puts in her kennel and I watched her one day try to hide the bones. I hope FIL finds his place soon. Dh and I have no privacy. Makes comments when we cuddle, etc. Hate it. I cannot walk around half dressed if I want to or crank up my tunes until the windows almost crack, etc.

I love KPC too and use to do that one alot. I don't have a problem with obliques, just behind them some, but thinking that is mostly extra skin from being pregnant twice with some fat. I gotta stop eating mints. Been really doing that alot lately. Mouth gets dry from workouts, etc. so I pop, not one in, but several. Some not sugar free either..I know better.

I see Darkdel did not restock the oils yet.

Very nicely done. Don't hate it so much. Yes, Cathe is brutal in general. I have not figured out how she can talk and have a smile on her face thru alot of her moves. I question if she is human sometimes. I just cannot smile when I am doing pulsating squats 20x's, etc. I cannot look at her most of the time because it makes me mad that she can smile and I can't. lol

Charlotte - I know you don't have a problem with obliques (or anywhere else really) but I'm just saying.....the boxing thing really REALLY seems to work all over the back. I'm feeling it all up my back and sides ....I don't think that area would be missed.....especially with weighted gloves. Just trying to help. I know they are gonna restock the DD scent cuz Bethie posted about it. Speaking of BPAL.......I'm DYING for my Inquisitions! I think I have 3 coming. Meant to ask you ....does Tireasis the Adrogyne sound good to you from the notes? That's my fave out of the Carnivale scents so far, however, I've not yet tried all of my Snake Pits.

Amber - Did you end up submitting a plea to the Valentine's Inquisiton over at the BPAL Trading Post? If so, did you plead Agony or Ecstasy....or just let them decide?

Boy - working out for 3-4 hours a day really is like working part-time! I feel like the day is gone and I just got done with my shower! LOL. I really need to get a job soon.........or it's gonna be WAY too hard to get back into the swing.

Diane Sue - I love my purple/black Saucony's. Actually, I don't think I'll buy any other brand for a long time. I like the Pink and White running shoes that are Saucony's also....lots and lots of cushion. The black ones look cool too! I feel like I need to write up a rotation cuz I'm feeling out of whack.....but I can't figure out what to do. Circuits seem to easy to do right now when I have all of this time to work out. Now I know how much fun you have every day working out 3 hours a day!
 
Morning Maniacs! Just finished up my leg workout. I did 'Firm it up' from the Slim Series. Gonna be a busy day a work today and the rest of the week. It's warmed up here and people gotta get their dogs in. It should get up to 46 degrees today. I'm hoping I'll have time to take my dog for a good walk. I think that might be part of her 'poop problem', lack of exersice. She seems better today.:)

Lora- Wow! What HRM do you have? Seems to read way higher than mine ever would. I'm actually thinking of sending mine back to Polar for a re-adjust and battery. Seems cheaper than buying a new one. But, if I had yours, I might be happier!:)

Char- You've actually done very well with FIL so far. No complaining really. I'd be nutso by now. You need to find him and his four legged friends a home. LOL!

Meg- I don't know what causes my dogs diarrhea. She's had problems ever since she was a puppy. We don't feed her scraps or anything as we know what will happen! Once in awhile I'll give her egg yolks and she seemed to tolerate those, but not this last time.:( They are her favorite too. She'll even get diarrhea if she knows we are leaving on vacation. She's ruined a few trips so far!

Anne- Hope your workout will be ok for ya.:) I bet you're going crazy holding back.

Diane Sue- Enjoy your workout this morning.:) Glad you like your shoes. I just got my biking shoes yesterday and they are way comfy as far as biking shoes go.

Debbie- Great workout! Are you doing the same reps as Cathe? I like leg workouts, but they always take alot out of me!

Hi Maniacs...

Another monday where DH wanted my undevoted attention and no workout got done. I told him he would have to pay tonight while I double up!! I just got an elliptical and I will have to pick that up tonight too.

My appointment with the derm is at 1PM, I'm a little nervous for the results.

Char...this is week 10, which means yesterday should have been chest shoulders tri's. I don't think it's a big deal though. The point of Phase 3 is to alternate phase one (last week) with phase 2 (this week). My gosh lady...40pounds on the lawnmowers...!!! YOU ROCK!! Careful with those doggies...sounds like you have some competetion for pack leader going on.

Lora..I'm glad you reminded me, I didn't see it come through on paypal so I will look into that. I am ordering the ecstasy. I'm hoping my snake oil comes before we leave on Sat AM. you burned 1086 calories...that is like a whole day of food for me. Enjoy that!

Debbie...I think you should try Tony's legs and back. I hated legs too until this routine. I don't use weights with a lot of it, I'm sure Char does though, I just find it had leaned me out vs. bulking me up. and I like the flow of it, hard to describe.

Randi...you sneaky girl did you get caught yet????

dallys...where are you?? I hope not cleaning doggie diarrhea...I so hate that...never fails to happen in my bedroom and I step in it in the middle of the night.

Suz...I find it hard to believe you have that much looseness in your tri's. I have some there too...although DH says it's almost gone. He is very impressed with the results I've gotten so far.

I know what you are talking about. I think it is a great idea with kickboxing cuz I really felt it when I did KPC around the core area, back, etc. I gotcha. So look here..I need to get a life..I just printed out all the oils I have so I don't have to keep looking them up on computer cuz I can't remember the theme's/stories behind them, etc. I printed out like 20 pages and I think my printer is running out of ink now. OMG! lol. I am awaiting my next tal order and the inquistion and imps as well. I also bid on more off ebay last night just for a few of my favs. Himerus is one of them. Love it!

Yup, getting a bit old. Some tensions starting to build now so I don't see this lasting another several months, if ya know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I like my FIL, but it is not really personal..just time to move on. I am just afraid if he ends up staying longer then he should then I might just go off the handle too much..like last night when he called me a old broad. I know he is just playing, but I had to tell him that I am "The Queen" of this house. Hubby suggested that he not say another word. Then his father says...why is she that bad to my dh? I said, no, I am just that GOOD! We left it at that. I tried to play along right back, but I don't always like it.

Char - I just hate leg work. I always have. Thats why I liked the full body plan so much, you only do one or two leg exercises each time, not a zillion like Crazy Cathe does. I also get pissed at her when she's smiling throughout her entire workout.

Dallys - Yes, I'm doing the same reps as Cathe. You had a leg day too, huh? Great job! Did you figure out what rotation you will be doing?

Amber - One of these days I'll try P90X. And what kind of undevoted attention did your dh need, hmmmm? LOL!

Today I did Kick Max kicking and punching combos then KPC the second part and abs then Kick Max Leg conditioning drills then B&G stability ball abs great workout!
Yeah I'm pretty sneaky hehe Drill Max time flew by because it was so much fun!
I'm curious if I took a fat burner ex Lipo 6, now that i'm already in shape will it make me look even more ripped? I know some of you are probably thinking i'm stupid just for concidering it, but I would only take it for a month. It is the # 1 fat burner on bodybuilding.com.
Today is another short day at work 3-7! YES!

Dallys - It only got to the 1000 mark cuz I left it counting while I changed for yoga and then did yoga.....so most of the calories after the 740 were just after burn. You can actually sit around and see how many calories you burn at rest if you want to. It's a Mio Shape, but it doesn't have a chest strap. It has 2 buttons you press simultaneously with 2 fingers.....to get your reading. I make sure I take it during peak and low times so I get a more accurate reading. Although, it's not as accurate as one with a chest strap.....but I would think your HR drops a bit (if anything to take your reading.....so it can't be that much different than a continuous read out). I realize it's just an estimate any way.

Wow - It took me over 1.5 hours to apply for this job online! My freakin computer moves like a snail. I applied for an Administrative Assistant for the local Coca Cola Bottling company in town. We'll see........gotta go eat lunch.
