Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Tues Dec 5

Anne - Thanks for trying that. I think I'll save mine to try after I finish the rotation I'm doing.

I can't decide what workout to do tomorrow. I need to do upper and lower body plus abs. It's a toss up between LIC upper body/Butts & Guts Floorwork + abs or tring out my new Kelly Coffey NYC weighted total body workout and then adding some additional leg work on the end. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm such an indecisive Libra!! I'm ready to print out a leg focused Cathe rotation and just start following it! I get so stressed out trying to mix match stuff together. I wish I was like Diane Sue!

Good grief! I wrote to you all hours ago and just noticed it didn't post. Why the heck does it do that from work? Hmmm...maybe b/c I should be working??? And you KNOW I had all kinds of super important stuff to say AS USUAL.

Okay - I have DOMS everywhere! Tris, pecs, lats, abs all over, butt, hammies and a little in chest. Cool!

I'm starving. Why? What's so different about this program? I was like this yesterday.

Amber - there was a spot to mention something about your dog, but it didn't really say that it was for the contest, so I don't really know the answer to your question, as I had the same question. Wouldn't you think Gizmo would be 1st with his looks and his story combined? :) He's a heart melter, that's for sure!

Finished Low Max. I burned 293 calories, was in my zone for 56 min. I might have burned slightly more, but my HRM didn't start working unitl after the warm up.

Meg-Yep, it came on with stress and I was cold. I'm always cold. I keep my house at a good 72 degrees and then there's the hot tub and the electric blankets. LOL!!

Lora-Nice pics. He does look alittle beefier there. He is the tatoo fanatic, isn't he?

Anne-hmmm, I think I'll wait on the TJ's, at least for now. I have alot of I-don't-want-to-workout workouts. :)

Suz- Sorry your Amazing post didn't go through, that sucks. And I can't remember if I was hungry on not doing P90X. Maybe eat some more dense food, like grains and beans or something, maybe you're lacking in good fats. Salads never last long with me.

Speaking of being hungry...Gotta go gets me some food.:9

Hi maniacs,
Ok Tony and I did bring it today with plyo, I just learned I've been saying it as well as spelling it wrong..hehe.

Anyway, it was not bad at all, not sure why I dreaded it. It is a lot of jumping and I did modify to start, but then on every repeating spot did the full sha-bang.

I guess I am so used to long cardio without breaks from Cathe, that this was pretty tolerable. I did check my heartrate once and I was at 160. but with cathe I can go to 180, so not bad.

Char, I'm thinking about your problem...I have a lot of anxiety when my father visits a couple times a year from florida. It's always a count down till he leaves. Can't imagine you having to tolerate the smoking in your house though! Sounds like you need to have a heart to heart with DH and share your fears. Maybe there can be some compromise with the smoking...like in the basement.

no more time tonight, I am whooped.

Aaagh! I just tried to post a message and lost it by jumping around on the thread.

Maeghan, I like your workout today. Haven't done RS in ages. I love SJP. Thanks for the compliment. Way to go on bringing your cholesterol down.

Deb, what a powerhouse you are. Bet you are getting really lean.

Suz, how did you like PlyoX? I enjoyed it and it made me sweat. I bought a different pad to work out on and it helped with the impact. I'm really hungry too with all the protein. Hip flexors are sore. Can't wait until tomorrow. Feeling leaner already, must be the lack of carbs. I'm going by the Phase 1 eating plan.

Char, are you liking this P90X stuff or is it easier than what you normally do? I keep thinking I want to get the form down first so I don't injure myself. 100 mile rides are not that hard, but it depends on the ride, whether there is a lot of climbing or not. The most I've climbed is 7000' in a ride and I was feeling it. Lot depends on the heat and wind conditions as to how hard the ride is. I wish you could ride a road bike some day and feel the difference. I love the speed on a road bike! However, mtn. bikes probably give you a better workout.

Dallys, maybe not a hobbit, but more like a basset hound. You know where they have a regular dog sized body, but short legs. Yep, that's what I resemble. I'm looking forward to Shoulders & Arms tomorrow. Hope you get your DVD's soon.

Amber, hope you can use the bands for pullup work. My Bowflex is going to work just fine for that. I just let the DVD run and go off in the side room and pump out whatever number and join in with Tony. Usually, because I'm weak. I finish before they do. I didn't even notice the shaved legs. Guess cuz I ride bikes with guys that shave theirs. My DH has pretty hairy legs and that's fine with me.

Randi, sounds like you're feeling up to your old self now. I like the Cardio Fusion premixes. They make me sweat, not much down time inbetween.

Charlotte, I am feeling bad about your FIL coming to stay for a while. Hopefully, it won't be too bad and that situations will be diffused before words are said that we wished wouldn't come out. My MIL is flat crazy (really, she saw Elvis snooping around her trailer once). I dread the day that we have to do something about her. DH feels the same way. Charlotte, you can always come here and vent. I would not let him smoke in my house. I'd find a place outside with a covering or a ventilated shop area or something. I couldn't and can't picture you being able to tolerate that in your house.

Got to go now.
