Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Thursday Aug 6

Morning Maniacs -

I work the early shift today. Was hard to get out of bed!

I did Tae Bo Cardio Circuit 2. Workout was 60" and I burned 520 calories.

I never did this one before, but bought it cuz of the stellar reviews at VF...however, I did not find it intense enough. My HR only got up to 144. I almost took it out to finish with something else, but it was almost time to quit. I started double timing moves and running towards the end to up the intensity.

Today was yoga or stretch so I did a combo of both. I started out with Karen Voight's Yoga Stretch which is about 25 minutes and then I did the stretch and core work from P90X YogaX workout. Feel really good right now. Body is tingling.
 
Today is weight day for me...which will be after work. I am thinking either muscle endurance or pul/plb. Not sure.

Debbie-Do you have all the p90x series? I think it may be a good investment for me. Do you like Tony?

Lora-good work on Taebo. I had that one and I really didn't like it. He's very upbeat but very spastic at the same time. I hate double time !!! I always feel like my form is horrible, so I stopped doing it.
 
Buttercup - I usually double time and jog in Billy's Tae Bo's to make them more intense....but I just figured this one would be intense enough since it got good reviews...oh well.

Yes, I have it. I haven't done the entire series yet, but plan too after I'm done with STS. Tony is ok. Sometimes he gets on my nerves. But he is pretty much a fun guy and very motivating.

Good Lord! That is truly shocking to see her like that. And I highly doubt lighting can do this. She truly has a problem.
 
Good Morning Maniacs!!!

I have been a bit out of touch here lately. Life in the fastlane here at home. lol. Been working out. In my recovery phase of P90X Classic Rotation. Posted picture on my Cathespace took yesterday to see how I am progressing so far. Yesterday did Core Syngeristics and today is Yoga X.

Wow on the Madonna photo. Wander what is going on in her head to make her think she should look like that? Weird.
 
Morning! I saw that pic and the one of Jennifer Aniston below. She looks good even if Madonna is sorta scary.

I did the leg work from MIS and then Tracey Staehle's Glute Camp (thanks for the suggestion, Diane Sue). Tomorrow I'll do upper body. Can't wait to start my new rotation. I was going to wait an extra week but am going to start this weekend or Monday.

My workout is done. It is raining

They were supposed to finish up spreading the sand today so they could pour the concrete tomorrow.
I did the Oxygen Abs issue Treadmill interval sprint/jog program with a little longer w/up. I raised my intervals to 8.3 mph from the 8 I was doing before. My goal is to get that to 9

I workout was 48 minutes and I burned 446 calories 4 miles. I then did Kimberly's Cardio Combat Surge med ball mix 31 minutes and burned 268 calories, Then I did abs all with the med ball Amy's Kickbox Surge core refining, Tracey's Core Blast med ball segment, and STS non partner med ball. I finished off with Tracey's parts workout yoga and stretch segments. Total calories burned was 953. I also did 50 kettlebell swings between the treadmill and loading kimberly's workout:)
 
I am baking these extremely high calorie cookies for our family dinner tomorrow. I keep telling myself no:eek: They are called Coma Cookies from one of Diane Mott Davidson's books. Everyone loves them.

I have to comment on the pic of Madonna. I saw a news clip dogging her physique the other day. It was video and I didn't think that she looked as terrible as this picture. Personally I thought the news people were being mean. I thought that she could use a little extra fat or something. That being said, I think the picture looks like it has been doctored. Look at the rest of her. To me it just doesn't look right.

And I agree, when I first seen that pic, I thought it was doctored as well. It almost doesn't look like those are her arms.

I've seen photos of her while she's doing concerts and such and although she is extremely too thin for me, she doesn't look anything like that picture. I thought about that after I posted my first response. She could use a little meat on her bones, though.

I miss the younger Madonna. The one that came from Michigan and was all innocent. Those, to me, were her best years.
 
Okay, I am trying not to push myself hard all week long so that I can feel somewhat rested to start STS next week, so this morning I did Amy's 10 Minute Solution Tone Trouble Zones Band Workout. But I only got through the first 3 sections (Upper body, Lower body & Total Body) before I was completely bored. So I did Intervals 6-10 of IMAX2.

I am mad today, because I feel like I have been eating well and my weight has not budge. I am trying desperately not to let it send me into some stupid binge.:confused:

You are not alone. I looked in the mirror this morning when I was doing yoga and could not believe what I saw. My lower body just looks aweful to me. I hate it. I cannot believe I am having such a hard time leaning out. Usually within 12 weeks I meet my goals. I've been doing 12 weeks since January and there has been no significant changes to my body. What the heck is going on? I eat spot on every day except Saturdays and sometimes Sunday's. I just don't understand. I am very frustrated, too, Linda!!!

Ugh, Debbie, what is the world has happened to us? It has never been this hard! And we certainly don't deserve this!
