Did Yoga X this morning. Might do CC tonight. We'll see. I'm a big talker in the a.m. Thanks for the kind comments on my little baby guns. :) Jeanette I think you should go get some ColdMD. I read about it in Oxygen Mag and it says that even if you DO get sick you get rid of it 95% percent faster (or something like that). I'd say it's worth a shot! I hope you feel better.

Okay ladies, can you help my whiny butt? What am I gonna do about my shoulder? What a terrible time to have shoulder problems when I'm doing a program that has lots of push-ups and pull-ups. What works the shoulders the same as upright rows? Front raises don't hurt, nor do side raises or military presses. I don't think push-ups hurt - at least they didn't Monday. I'm wondering about my pull-up attempts. Should I switch to my weight machine and do pulldowns? I've nursed this stupid shoulder back to health enough in the past to know it's possible if you do it right. I don't want to make it worse. I'm just bummed b/c I still want great results. HELP!!!

Randi - I was a little ballerina for 7 years starting when I was 4 until I got injured and docs recommended I quit (oh, that's not what you meant?). I've been working out since I was about 16 - started at a gym (I'm 44, so that was about 100 years ago). Started running when I was 19. Did that and weights (the Firm and the gym) for 20 years. Wasted my hip running (hey, I'm starting to see a pattern with me and injuries). Switched to cycling which I still do. Found Cathe a year ago (wow - a year already!!!) and here I am.

Amber - I'm the same way with the people/animal thing. Glad I'm not the only "weirdo". :p

I started playing tennis in the 5th grade and played on a team since i was a senior and high school, #1 varsity player my junior year!:) My freshman year I cheered and took dance as well since i was 10. Started working out at a gym when i was 20. Went to the gym off and on and found the firm till I was 25 then found Cathe Yeah!!!!

Meg...does your mom call her dog "zeucifer" when he's bad? dear stepsons are always call him that. To me he is just bubby. Dobe's fit the name zeus better than labs, that is for sure.

Randi, just fyi, laxatives will dehydrate you, which if you are fighting a UTI, probably would not be wise, you need the fluids in your vascular system not your bowels right now! Ewwwww yuk I know. The nurse in me comes out once in awhile.

NO! lol. I am going to take the dog for a walk first and get some lunch in town. Enjoy the outdoors and then I think I will be ready.

Anne...no redo, although I've had to before, one ruptured from bumping into a car door. that was an expensive bump.

This time, I have a small mass, all the tests are inclusive...so I gotta go see a surgeon, it's been a month since I found it and I have had study after study done. I'm sick of it and sick of losing sleep and sick of the puzzled looks on doctor's faces....sick of it I say!!

Char...no happy boobin for me for awhile, nor my DH ! hehe
 
Amber-Yes, she is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. They are very good dogs. I think she is a cutie too.:) I'm the same way with animals. I guess that's why I work with them everyday.

Char- Yoga, Yoga, Yoga....

Suz- On my first round of P90X, I had a bad shoulder (rotator cuff). I had to modify and lower weights ALOT! My numbers on my info. sheets are way lower than this last round. And guess what? I STILL got very good results. Just as good as this last round. I didn't even do doubles. So, just do what your shoulder will let you and don't try to push it, because that will make it worse. Plus, upright rows are said to give you the appearance thick neck. I always go light on those. I'm scared of a thick neck.:)

Debbie- I think I will get the calender and just hang it for motivation. Cathe's pictures are sure to do that.:)

Randi- You were an active little kid. That's great!

I have got to get back to work. Lot's of doggies today!!!

Amber-Here is a picture of what muscle upright rows work. Check out the second white line down. This is one muscle I'm not that worried about building muscle. Again...fear of the thick-neck look.

Back from 6 mile walk and 75 degrees here. Not a cloud in the sky. Winds are calm...should have been a meterologist. Love the outdoors. Yoga? What is that??? Yeah, gonna do it soon. Promise. I have to stick with the program. Open windows so I can feel like one with nature. lol. My shoulders and calf muscles are still sore. This is gonna test me. Calf muscles sore from plyo's. Shoulders from yesterday. Yee ha...so here I go. Yoga Yoga Yoga.

Hi all, am taking it easy and doing some Christmas decorating. Bout time, huh? DH is home and doing some sheetrock repair. He was up in the attic about a month ago and accidently stepped on a piece of sheetrock from up in the attic and cracked the living room ceiling. He's fixing it this afternoon. Oh yeah, I did Bryan Kest's Power Yoga - Tone. Liked it a lot.

Lora, I'm not fond of grocery shopping either but has to be done. Glad you are liking the gliding. Nice to shake things up.

Deb, another good strength workout for you. Awesome poundages. I bought the calendar too.

Toastie, so did you get a bike ride in? YogaX? I was happy to hear how your DH is going to have your FIL smoke outside, hip hip hooray!

Maeghan, hope your cold goes away soon. Mine isn't too bad today, hope it doesn't escalate. When I get one, it lasts and lasts and lasts and I have that drainage thing all the time, yuk! Where does all that gunk come from?

Randi, I've been working out with Cathe for about 2 years and before that was a mix of yoga, some Karen Voit and Tamilee Webb. No serious weight work though. I've been riding bikes for about 6 years and before that was horses for the last 25 years. Man, I wouldn't do the laxative if I didn't have to. Try drinking more water too. I get more stopped up if I'm dehydrated.

Dallys, what kind of weights did you use for CTX Biceps? That endurance stuff is a killer. I like doing the heavier weights for sure. So you guys are getting a storm, huh? Don't think they've found the climbers stuck on Mt. Hood yet. Sure hope they make it.

Amber, good job on Shoulders and Arms. I liked it a lot. Seems like you and I are doing similar weights too. I was able to heavy up a lot from last week. Interesting to see how next week goes. I may have to roll my 20#ers out to the living room.

Okay, okay Suz. I've got some Airborne and Zicam somewhere around here. I'm feeling okay, no real cough has developed yet and didn't get the bad sore throat, just a scratchy one for a couple days. Hope this is as bad as it gets. I'll see if they have ColdMD at Wally World. I don't have any tips for your shoulders. Did you injure them at some time? I'm doing lat pulldowns cuz that's all I have now. I'm glad you've settled on cycling instead of being a ballerina. Might not have ever met you then as I don't frequent any ballerina forums. I'm a bull in a china closet myself.

Dallys, that thick neck thing, no way am I wanting to get that! ROTFLMAO at Amber's comment on the poor man!!! A real shrinky dink!

Just finished Yoga X. YES, I DID IT ALL!!!!}( :p I dislike too much of the vinyasa moves and downward dog. After that, interesting moves. I actually did the wheel move although it was not for long. Just about all of Royal Dancer. My balance is pretty good and my flexibility is getting much much better already. The crane...forget it. I tried and then laughed hysterically. I was like...huh???? Maybe next time I will get it or the next time after that. I liked the end when your like a corpse and then you make humming noises..that was all so cool and soooo relaxing. Have my windows open and I can actually hear the stream down the road from me...ahhhh. It was perfect to end the day with this. My mind actually feels so much clearer and I feel happy and refreshed. I just have to get past the first part and then I think it actually gets fun for me.

Yes, I am so relieved dh is supporting me with no smoking in the house. What a relief! I walked 6 miles this afternoon with the dog and made dd and boyfriend go with me. I would not dare leave them in the house alone. It is a gorgeous day here in Virginia...like spring.

Anyone have TLT's Better Burn Better Buns? Do you think that's good enough to do on a Leg day as a workout? I'm debating doing that tomorrow. I haven't done it for a long time so I can't remember.

The person I've been waiting to call all day about that job at the hospital never called back so I don't know what's going on with that.

I can't believe tomorrow's Friday already. Time flies when you're not working all week!

Diane Sue - Do you think Turbo Jam's leg workouts are good enough for me to do as a leg workout. I was thinking about doing the 2, 30 minute ones back to back.
 
Jeanette- I still haven't done my workout. I may not get it in until tomorrow. I just got done working and I'm beat. I do know that I can be weak on chest and biceps compared to Cathe on some of her endurance workouts. So, we'll see how I do. Are you close to Mt. Hood? I hope they find those guys.

I have two imps of Hell Cat so I don't really need another. That should last me awhile. Now if you want so sell me treat 2 in imp size, I will buy it from you. I am pretty well stocked. lol. I just sold my Purple Phoenix. I may sell my Bitter Moon after I decant a imp size for myself. Have to order more vials.

Lora, I have the TLT's. I have only done them once so far so I cannot really remember the moves in Better Body Better Buns. I think doing the Turbo Jam Lower bodys together would be good. I have done that a few times. You do get some upper in there with the compound moves:)

Dallys, I always used the spreadsheet for the Upper Body CTX workout and just put in the weights that I used on a particular workout like bac, Triceps, shoulders etc.. Are you using the dvd's? I am not sure if they have that on the video tape. But you could still use that spreadsheet.

Today was busy. I started out with Turbo Jam Punch, Kick and Jam, stopping at the tubing work, then did Cardio Party 3 minus the warm up. I had to take the dogs to the park so someone could look at the house at 9 this morning. When I got back I had some cottage cheese and then did Gym Style Timesavers BSB stopping @ the str, then CT starting after the w/up. I finished with Butts and Guts Stability Ball Abs adding some resistance. I wore my weighted gloves for the TJ's. I had to go back out to the grocery store and pet store and finally got my cards mailed. Now I need to read all of the posts and see what all of you have been doing.
