Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Barry's Bootcamp Treadmill workout off of Butt/Legs with Nadia followed by part of Tracey's Walking Strong. I used hand weights for the entire walking workout and put my TM on the highest incline (only has 3 settings). Workout was 70" and I burned 562 calories.

I also did Bender Ball abs Level 2-3 12" and then I did Jill Miller's Total Yoga Tune Up - Spinal Tune Up 30" followed by The Best Yoga Workout Ever 30". The latter is a bummer of a buy I ordered off Amazon thinking it was a new workout and it ended up being old segements of QuickFix yoga and The Method Pilates/Yoga mix and it's mostly core work with yoga.

We went to see an EXCELLENT movie yesterday....Street Kings. Highly recommend it. Action packed, great story with twists and turns. We both loved it.

Have great rest days or workouts everyone. I'm already getting bummed about going back to work tomorrow. I love the weekends!

Yesterday was my rest day:) I needed it my legs are fried still! Today is 4DS KIck box and upper body/ CM #2.
Lora great workout. HOw do you like the Bender Ball? Seen it on TV looks affective.

Randi - yes, I like the ball. It feels effective....but the lousy video that comes with it is short and not that great. I'm thinking about ordering the advanced one ...but it's $20.

Diane Sue - I'm looking at an Altus weighted 20# vest on Amazon (free super saver shipping) cuz I was also gonna order a couple books. What kind do you have? I don't want to spend more than like $60 for it and that's how much this Altus one is. It doesn't look very sleek....but I doubt I'll ever get so advanced with running that I'll want to wear it running. It should be okay for walking. What do you think? Let me go find the linkie.

Anyone order Tosca Reno's new Eat Clean Workout book? I've also been eyeing Red Carpet Ready (read about it on Skwigg's Blog) and when I was viewing the vest, was reading reviews on LL Cool J's workout book (don't laugh). It's supposed to have several weight routines in it. Anyone have any opinions? (Red Carpet REady is an E-book.....which means I can't order it cuz of my stupid sucky computer).
 
Just got done working out. THe 4ds kickbox plus upperbody was 103 min plus i did cm#2. Didn't think i was going to finish I did now my arms are shaking and feel like jello!!

Today is my rest day. I am sooooo sore from what I did yesterday and my weights are nearly embarrassing at times, but I shall post anyways. Either way, I did good cuz I have brutal doms.

Here she blows...

1 minute rest between each set (which made it worse!)

CHEST
Dumbbell Flye:
15's - 15 (warmup)
30's - 12/12/12


Flat Barbell Bench Press:
45# - 15 (warmup)
55# - 12/12/11 (this seems really light I know, but I worked it, believe it or not)


Incline Dumbbell Press:
25's - 8 then dropped to 20's and finished out 12/12


Decline Dumbbell Flyes:
30's - 8 then dropped to 25's and finished 12/12


BACK
Close Grip Pullups:
7/5/4


Pullovers:
40# - 12/10/8
Felt this everywhere as well.

One-Arm Rows:
35# - 12/12/12


Overhand Barbell Rows:
60# - 12/12/12

Debbie was right as my entire upperbody was burning too and now feels like a truck hit me. I thought this workout was gonna be a piece of cake..HAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The one minute rest changes ALL OF THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did ab work to MM which is one of my favs now since it challenges me more then any other ab workout so far.
 
Hello Peeps!

How are you all doing? I haven't even popped in lately to read, as I've been so busy with work and other stuff, so I hope you are all well.

It has been sooooooooooooooooooooooooo windy lately that I haven't been able to ride outside. Well, I did ride a week ago Saturday reeeeally early before the wind kicked up and I barely made it home before it got windy.

This morning I got up at 6 and the wind was 3.4 for an hour so I got my bike ready, topped off the air in the tires, oiled the chain, got all ready and BOOM the wind shot up to 12.8 and I knew I was in trouble. It was only 28 degrees out so I decided to take the dogs for a run instead. The cool thing is that I am a much faster runner now that I've dropped that weight than I used to be when I was a "real" runner. I can't believe it! With dogs (and one - Gizmo - who had to stop every time a car went by which was pretty frequently since we were on a rather busy road - and then Amber who pooped out on the way back so we had to slow way down) I was able to run a 9 minute mile. And we walked quite a bit - until the second half when Gizmo finally got used to the cars! Granted we only went 4 miles, but I haven't even been running. So I'm pretty happy.

Last weekend was our Animal Shelter's annual Fur Ball and I spent every waking moment working on it. It was a blast when it finally arrived and I think we raised more money than ever. We sold out at 675 people. Here's a pic of my friend Amy and me (me in Amy's dress)posing with $1,000. She was also a volunteer that night, bless her heart. She's 3 months pregnant and was pretty pooped. She has a very exciting day job doing criminal investigation for the state, but on the side she's a personal trainer.

That is it for today. Going to chill and watch golf - maybe nap.
 
Today is a rest day. Friends took us to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. More chips and salsa. I need to drink lots of water and really tighten up the diet tomorrow.

This one looks similar to what you are thinking of ordering. I went to the store and bought it and it is decent priced. Cathe's looks so mych more fitted but not so sure I would really need that.
