Morning Maniacs -

Off to do a recovery workout....lite cardio and some yoga. I'll be back later. I have a busy day today. Job interview and work later. I miss my normal weekend routine.

I'm back. I ended up doing the Tai Chi workout with Janis Saffel and Scott Cole. Workout was 53" and I burned 300 calories. I don't really like this workout but I keep it hoping my mind will change. I also did Rainbeau Mars Yoga for Beauty - Dusk and I didn't enjoy this one as much as usual either............something must not be right in the Universe.

Off to get ready for my job interview and then going into work this afternoon.

Have great workouts everyone.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

This weekend is my birthday weekend so dh is taking me shopping and out to Red Lobster for lunch or dinner (depending on time frame). We are gonna get a pellet heater for the basement as well. Tomorrow is horseback riding for 1 1/2 hours with family.

Just gonna do some ab work today (didn't do it yesterday as daughter wanted me to go to a church function with her and her friend. I couldn't resist not spending time with her, and was glad to see her with another friend, one that is very sweet and laid back, not crazy wild like her other friends...nice for a change. Got back was ready for bed so I gotta do them abs.

Oh, yeah...my EATS for the day:

2 lite wheat toast w/natural pb, one large egg, 4 pieces bacon, half grapefruit, few grapes. (I know I should have had another egg or two, but just not feeling too hungry)

Protein Bar and yogurt

Lunch: Red Lobster?

Protein Shake (from GNC while on the run at mall)

Dinner: Red Lobster? lol

Lora,

Good luck with interview.

Ya'll have a great weekend.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the Might Toasty Girl!!!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful birthday weekend!!!! You don't look a day over 25!!!! You hardcore nut you!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOASTY CHICK!!!!! You look amazing! I hope you have a wonderful day! :) I love Red Lobster. Enjoy it.

This morning I was going to do the 4 day split workout with shoulders and back but it was SO NICE out that I just HAD to ride so DH and I went and had donuts (yup, cheat day) and then I rode 20.3 miles. Took an hour and 17 minutes. I was going to come home and do the shoulders and back part but then we got in the hot tub and now it's time to shower and go eat some more. :9 Actually it will be 2 hours before we actually eat and it's been 3 hours since I've had those nasty donuts (but they were yummy!). We're meeting DH's mom and brother at Macaroni Sin Palace in Colorado and then we're going to a fabric store and then we're going to go look at fifth wheels "just for fun", not to purchase. We're not ready yet. So once again I guess weights wait until tomorrow. But I just couldn't let such a beautiful day in November pass for a bike ride. 44 degrees and the wind was only 2.5. In November. Gorgeous!

Lora - Good luck with your interview!

Later gators!

Just popping in for a minute. My interview went very well. She said if she could hire me on the spot, she would have. They aren't making a decision until they interview the other candidates the Temp Agency sends. The pay is not great and it's far away from home (gas guzzle) and I'm a bit nervous cuz the office is real "high tech" and it's for front desk which I haven't done for years and years..........but we shall see. They will let me know by the end of the month and they need a person to start Dec 1. The doctor is a very kind, compassionate Indian gentleman and his wife Marilyn, runs the office and is very militant....but I'm okay with that. The other weird thing is that you wear street clothes to the office and change into uniforms when you get there. They provide the uniforms but you never take them home, as they have a washer and dryer there for you to wash them when dirty. Something about her being a germophobe..........guess I'll fit right in with that aspect!!

Off to eat lunch and then I have to go into work at 4:00 pm.

I tried to sleep in later this morning. Went to bed late. Laid there till almost 8 then decided to get up. I attempted Amy Bento's Step Challenge 2. I did the whole thing and repeated the power ups. Then because spent so much time trying to figure out where I was I felt I needed more cardio so I did 4 day split High intensity step cardio. I then did Amy's Slo Mo core and Yoga Booty Ballet Masters Yoga Core. Here it is 2 and I still have not had anything but a cup of coffee. I guess I need to go fix something. Haven't really wanted to cook the last couple of days. I look and there is nothing convenient so I choose to wait. LOL I know I will make up for it somewhere:) Wish my lean dessert protein would get here.

Charlotte, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Enjoy your weekend. I love Red Lobster:9
So glad you had a nice evening with your daughter.

Lora, I hope the job comes through for you.

Lora - Glad the interview went well.

Diane Sue - I was just thinking about that this morning when I got up at 6:30. I was wishing I could sleep in on the weekends. Sometimes I can make myself stay in bed longer than that, but I just can't sleep. Makes me crazy. But during the week when I have to get up for work I want to sleep SO BAD! :)

I meant to mention since I never do my calories on workouts that yesterday during CC#7 I kept my HR at 181 during all of the hard efforts unless I was at a 1 or 2 effort and today on the bike I kept my HR at 171 on the first 10 miles out and between 173-176 (mostly 176) on the last 10 miles back in. I should set my HR monitor up to figure out how many calories I burn someday but I'm kind of technologically challenged (i.e., lazy - as I've mentioned before).

We ended up not looking at fifth wheels today. Since we visited so long at lunch and then went to the fabric store we decided to wait and do it on our vacation together during Christmas since we'll have 2 weeks off together. I found some silk dupioni fabric on sale for 50% off! I ended up getting red since their choices were slim. It's really pretty. I got some other fabric to make one out of first so I can practice. DH picked the color (both, actually) and it's one that will go with a lot in my wardrobe so I can wear it to work.

We're going to watch that movie In the Land of Women now. It's got Meg Ryan in it. Has anyone seen it? Then I'm going to work on finishing that green dress I've been working on. I had to do a lot of alterations since I cut it too big. Thank goodness for Mimsy. She's such a patient little dressform. :)

Where's Dallys and Randi and Anne and Meg today?

Suz, I think I am just on some odd time clock LOL I always know if I stay up late on the weekend that I will pay for it because I generally wake up early anyway. But I do love to try and take advantage of not having to get up in the morning. The red silk sounds pretty. I am sure that is a good color for you. I remember making a trial dress from the pattern I used for my dd's bridesmaid dresses since I did not want to blow it on the fabric we used. You are lucky to have the dress form to work from. Cute name:) I have never heard of the Land of Women. I bet with the stuff you do that you burn a whole lot of calories.
