Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Monday Sept 18

yes Diana sue db or barbells sometimes I use the bow flex but not often.For seated rows,lat pulldowns,incline chest press/flys I think that's all I use it for.
So far I have got in 17 min of yoga and abs.Hope I get my run in after dinner.
 
Had a good afternoon to myself. Thanks, Marietta, for you kinds words!

I did some of my Avon stuff since I have an order coming in on Wednesday, cleaned my living room and did an ab workout for about 20 minutes. I did a bunch of different things:

Leg lifts/knee lifts on power tower - did one of each 5 times and wore 6# ankle weights.

Then I did 2 sets of 5 knee lifts, 5 to the left and 5 to the right for obliques w/ 6# ankle weights. These killed.

Then I did wood chops on my stability ball with 15#. Did 3 sets of 20.

Then I did Hip raises where you have your legs up straight (had my ankle weights on) and you lift your butt off the floor. Did 3 sets of 20 and these really got my lower abs well.

Then I finished off with planks. Wrapped my 6# ankle weights around my waist and did a one minute plank on my elbows and one minute with straight arm. I was wiped out!!!
 
Toasty...LOL!!!!! I bet your dd's boyfriend was in complete shock!! Hope the stain comes out....You should be a story-teller. You made me feel like I was right there...LOL!!

Debbie - You bet lady!! So do you have a treadmill now? I was reading you were running/walking. How's that goin for you?

Megadoo - You sound so pumped lately...keep it up!!

Adri - You can workout while in Australia...just because other's don't doesn't mean you can't. Don't ever pass up an opportunity of a lifetime...you'll regret it. You can work around anything!!

Deb- nice ab work! I guess I really should invest in some ankle weights. Good idea to use them for ab work.

Thanks Marietta! I had a great WO yesterday. I hope I can keep with it. I still need to do something today. After dinner I guess.

Adri - I agree with Marietta. Don't pass up such a wonderful opportunity. When I traveled for my last job, I traveled with a bunch of girls who didn't work out. They would all stay up late drinking and wake up hungover. Although I would stay out with them a lot (since I didn't always want to pay single cab fare back to the hotel), I wouldn't drink - or maybe I would have one glass of wine - you've gotta have wine in Italy! I would feel good in the mornings and get up and run before we would have to start our work days. I saw a lot of cool stuff out running in the mornings. More than if I had been doing what everyone else chose to do.

So be yourself but don't be afraid to be around others who aren't like you. Now's a great time to learn that you can work out and eat healthy even if you're around a bunch of people who don't. Because trust me, in life you're around A LOT of people who won't share your views on being healthy.

I just finished Core Synergistics and added a 40 min. Bike ride. I ride about 4 miles up hill (mostly in my granny gear) and then sail back down. WEEEE!! Then take a mile straight away back home in my hardest gear. It burns the legs in a short time.

Adri, you should go on that trip. You'll remember that forever. Suz and Marietta are right about that. Who knows, you may change one of those other kids lifes with your influence. You'll find there are very few people in the real world who are into fitness. Very few.

Toasty, that is soooooo embarrassing! I'm so laughing at you though. LOL! The odds of the berries being red and you sitting on them and then the hole water thing. Hilarious!

Debbie, sounds like you had a great ab workout!

Suz, I saw your other post about going veg. I'd like to go vegetarian, but don't know if I could completely. I think my husband would be into it, but definitely not my son. :) My daughter and her husband already hardly eat any meat. My husband and I have not touched any type of beef for about 6 mo. There have been 2 patients admitted with Mad Cow (Cretch field Jacobs disease) in only 1 year at my son-in-laws work. He's a Nurses assistant at a nursing home (going for his Nurseing Degree). One died awhile back and One just got there. They were both about 60. Scary.

Finally home from prison camp!!

Charlotte - I PM'd you back. I'm glad you like the oils I sent you. I felt bad cuz you didn't like the initial stuff you ordered and I didn't want everyone that reads this thread to think Black Phoenix makes stinky oils !! I knew you didn't buy any spectacular ones when you told me what you ordered.

I hate to check in and run, but I've got to go watch GH and lie on my balls. (did you hear that Charlotte!!-- I know you love it when I say that).

No other workouts for me today....I've just got to decide if I should do Plyo X one last time tomorrow and modify on the rebounder (due to sciatica) or go for an Amy Bento step workout.
 
Marietta - I did get a treadmill. My sister in law gave me her mom's old one. I had to replace the walking belt. Cost me $75. Not bad for a treadmill. I love it. It really breaks up the monotony of step workouts. I'm getting REAL sick of step.
 
Hey guys. My sis called and wanted to go for a walk, so we went for a 40 min power walk. She is still trying to drop some baby weight. It was fun, and I always enjoy talking with her. Then I came home and did biceps.

sitting alternating dumbell
preacher curl
hammer curls
barbell curls 8 half up, 8 half down, 8 full

I am hoping to get up early and WO, but we will see how that goes! LOL!
Chase had a good first day today and he is looking foward to tomorrow. They had a fire drill, so that was the most spectacular thing for him!!
