Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Cathe's 4 Day Split - High Intensity Step and Chest & Back. I modified some of the cardio blasts on my Rebounder. Coreography was a bit baffling, so my HR didn't come up too high. I pretty much matched Cathe on all of her weights (dragged my DH's 30 pounders from the basement -- need my own set) except the one set of chest presses with 30 lb DB's. After all of those pushups, I couldn't hoist those DBs and had to use 25 lbs instead. I also did a couple less reps than her. I liked the music in this workout much better. Workout was 70" and I burned 490 calories.

Dallys - I didn't mean to insinuate in my post the other day that I didn't like the new Cathes. I've not done them enough to make that judgment. I meant that I didn't care for the music on the kickbox and leg segment I did yesterday, but when I stopped to think about it, Cathe seems to use the same kind of music for her kickbox and leg workouts.

Breakfast is Danon Light & Fit yogurt and Kashi 7 grain Pilaf cereal with cinnamon and a pinch or so of brown sugar and I had about 12 almonds after my workout earlier. Just realized I only made a half of a serving....so I'll be hungry sooner than usual.

I've got an appointment with another Temp Agency this morning. Have great workouts everyone.
 
Good Morning, my workout today is CTX Power Circuit stopping at the back, then Kelly Coffey Step Box (no w/up), Tracey's Core conditioning, and a str/yoga I should receive my Cathe's dvds later today. I didn't want to over do the weights this morning. I also have Kelly Coffey's new Step Box coming this week.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

The plan is cardio coach plus chest/back/abs today before I go to work this evening. I need more cardio, and I am just not getting enough so I need to make time. Not to lose more fat, but for my heart and my mood as well. So I am gonna have to find the time to make my workouts alittle longer cuz I am about to turn 40 too. I watched a show last night to remind me of the aging process. So depressed me. :p I feel like I will be dead tomorrow. Gosh. Mostly about the average person. Hey, we are not average here!!!!!!!!!!! Good Gosh!!!! lol

Anyhoo, ya'll have great workouts cuz I know you will anyways.

Morning Maniacs! I checked and I should get my new DVD's today not tomorrow. So, if I have time I'll start with one of those today...if not tomorrow. I'm reading one of those popular Vampire books "Twilight". It's the first of 3 and I'm hooked. Anyone else heard of them?

Char Cardio is good for the mood, I agree. I'm not getting enough lately either. I like cardio outside and it's been tough for me to go downstairs on the hamster equipment.

This morning was dreaded legs. And supersets to make it even worse! Oy!! Had a pretty good workout though! This is what I did:

1:30 min. rest between each superset

Squats:
85# - 12/12/12
superset w/
Dumbbell SLDL's:
35's - 12/12/12 (Up 2 reps)
[font color=blue]***Back felt really tight this morning. I was kind of worried about doing SLDS's but everything felt fine doing them.[/font]

Bulgarian Split Squat:
70# - 12/12/12
superset w/
Hamstring Curls:
50# - 12; 55# - 12/12
[font color=blue]***BSS's always make me feel like to puke. I hate that exercise. And each time I get done with one leg and then go to do the other I get really dizzy. Not sure why?[/font]

Leg Extensions:
100# - 12/12/12 (Up 10#)
superset w/
Dumbbell Calf Raise:
40's - 30/30/30
[font color=blue]***With the calf raises I did 10 with toes pointing forward, 10 with the turned out and 10 with them turned in.[/font]

It's cuz they are a secret torture exercise!! They totally whipe me out too. How high is your back leg? I rest mine on my bench and that is about 7 risers high if I used the high step...PURE TORTURE! But, yet I love them at the same time. I don't get it? LOL!

Just seen a video on these cuz I didn't know what the bulgarian squats were. Now I can understand! lol. With 70# bb no wonder. The man I seen doing these had small db's in each hand, girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p }( :*

I did LIS with shoulders,calves and core, another great one:) My chest and back are so sore from yesterday! Once I get all these done I'm going to start doing the premixes!! Tomorrow is bootcamp plus bi's and tris }(

Ok, i did LIS. My shoulders are gonna ache..

Was fumble footed on the step today.. She does alot of crosses and turns. And me , miss coordinated here.. LOL..
I am liking the weight work.. Alot of supersetting..
Saves time, but is harder..

Deb. you will like these.. Much heavier weights..Alot of reps. Fries ya..

I finished my workout. Used 10# dumbbells for some of the moves on Core Conditioning. Stretch was Amy's Stretch and abs str#1. I wanted to do yoga but my workout was taking to long. I kept hoping UPS would come.
So far I have had
Iced coffee with light soy milk and splenda and protein powder1/2 scoop
Just finished a microwave baked apple with cinnamon and splenda and 1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein powder mixed into fat free sour cream

I need to go to the grocery store. I am out of fruit now.


Charlotte, there is nothing old about you. You look so young and you can do way more than most teenagers. Those shows can be depressing but that is because people do not take care of themselves.

Debbie, great workout. I like Super Setting.

Anne, no dvd's yet. I looked at my tracking and they are on the truck:)

Lora, I heard that on the Get Ripped website some places are shipping out the Ripped and Chiseled workouts. I ordered mine from Amazon and it still says November 22nd. Did you order that one?

Alright, almost done with weight work. Shoulders and abs next and then elliptical. I will post stats tonight or tomorrow. My microwave broke and I don't have time to bake my sweet potato in the oven. Suggestions???
 
Hello Ladies!

I'm a big workout sloth! I woke up with another stinkin' migraine. It's my first day back to work after almost a week and a half off, so I took Imitrex and went back to sleep. I didn't want to start my day off with a migraine b/c I knew I'd be really busy - which I AM! I can't believe I'm going to say this, but it's good to be back. They want me to start writing weekly press releases for our division and I miss writing (HA! Don't I get enough here? :p), so that was fun news to come back to. And nice that my boss thinks enough of my writing ability.

My eating for today...I'm not tellin'. I think I'll have to wait a few weeks before I fess up. I want to drop those few pounds that I gained while I was on vacation, so I KNOW I'm not eating enough calories and I will get the tsk, tsk, tsk finger I'm pretty sure. :) I'll be good in a few weeks, I promise. But I will eat fruit and stuff, so no worries.

Oh, but I DID eat a bunch of bread at the Macaroni Sin Palace on Saturday. We went with some other friends of ours (not the same ones we went down with for breakfast a couple of weeks ago). My friend and I sat in the back seat of our pickup and knit. She's the one I took knitting lessons with about 9 years ago. She's an amazing knitter. Anyway, I sure love their bread!

Diane Sue - I meant to ask you - when you meantioned about heating the 5th wheel - can you heat a small portion of it while you're pulling it? That was our concern with the birds. DH doesn't want them in the cab of the pickup with the dogs b/c it would be too crowded. :(

Suz, I have never put a pet in the fifth wheel when we traveled. I do know that the refrigerator stays cold because when we unplug the trailer it switches to LP Gas. Heat would run off of the gas but I am not sure about leaving it on while traveling. Why don't you check out the forums at this site. Scroll down the left hand column to the community/forums. There is loads of information here. I have read many articles that have been helpful.

Diane Sue - Thanks, I'll check that out when I'm home. We wouldn't leave the dogs in there when we're moving. I do feel funny about leaving the birds in there, but DH doesn't. Makes me kinda sad. But I guess if it's that or leaving them home, I'd rather have them with us. :)

Hey Maniacs! I got my DVD's and did "High Intensity Step". Might take me a few more tries to get that one down. ROFL! HEllO! I did chest and back and used the same weights as Cathe. Overall I had a good workout. I'm sure it will be better when I get the steps down.

Planned Eats for today:

L-3 chicken Lettuce wraps (from costco)
S-Baked Apple-splenda-cinnamon-lf sour cream-protein powder

Water and a couple of diet Pepsi's.:)

I am really beginning to rock it on this movement.

I usually do this exercise before the rows, but some other girl was on it so I did this after the rows. I tried going up (down?) on weight and really struggled with it (partially because I was halfway fried by the rows ;) ). I went back up to 130 and still kinda struggled ... it was 6 reps, rest, then the last 6 reps.

Boy this one burns at 200 lbs! :eek: I walked very stiffly away from that machine when I was done ;)

[font color=red]Cardio:[/font]30 minutes on the treadmill, ramdom incline levels 0-7, 3.6 mph
Great cardio session! I was definitely fried after I was done with this ;)

I took my mother out to eat at Bob Evans today :) They have a new salad called Spinach Country Salad - it was delicious, very low in carbs, high in protein and not too bad in fat. I had just a little of the salad dressing. I stayed away from the pops and yummy breads and desserts they have there - I'm proud of myself! :)
