Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Barry's Boot Camp - Fat Blast - Upper Body Emphasis - Mission Lower Body Advanced, Mission Abs Advanced & Mission Upper Advanced. Workout was 73" and I burned 546 calories.

My mission this week is to get used to these workouts and learn how to increase the intensity. He uses bands for these...so I'll try using some DBs in places, adding ankle weights and add weight to the ab and leg work.

Dallys - I asked you questions on yesterdays thread. Can't understand some of the exercises you posted with the Valslides.

Diane Sue - I ordered some of that finishing powder to try yesterday. Hope I like it. I also had to order a few of my staple cosmetics from Bourjois. They make a few colors that are very complimentary on my skin tone. They are very expensive though. Have you ever tried any of their makeup?
 
This morning I did Cardio Coach #6 with Candace. Had a great workout. I really pushed myself and again, it was really hard getting my HR up. My legs are so sore from yesterday's workout, it's a wonder I was able to run at all. My quads especially. They are really tight and sore.

Good morning:)

I'm just getting back from a 1.5 hour walk it wasn't on my schedule for today. Yesterday on my way to the zoo I kept hearing noise from my front end, too make a long story short :D my brakes went out so I walked to get pads. Now am waiting for mechanic to come to put my pads on, in the mean time while waiting going to do S&H back. I will be back shortly with stats. I got a double workout in yesterday lot of walking around zoo.:eek:

Debbie: meant to ask you were you and your hubby riding on Saturday. There were zillions of bikes on rockside they looked to cool. BTW nice workout, surprise you pull that workout off this morn, Nice Job!

Teddygirl - No, unfortunately we had a picnic thing for where my dh works all day on Saturday. We didn't even ride that day. Hmm, I wonder what that was for? I didn't know you lived so close to me.
 
Debbie I think they were riding on behalf of the Police officer, that was killed not 100% sure:p:D But I waited at Target stop light for 10 minutes as they were riding by.
 
Morning Ladies - I have been doing pyramid workouts. i did pyramid upper body Firday, Lower Body Sunday and upper body again today. I am having fun with this. I will do the total body on Weds. and then we go to Salt Lake City for a long weekend. Hope to get hiking in.

Hey Maniacs!!!

Ran 3 miles this morning. Gonna work legs..plyo's/weights later. Dh home from hospital. Gonna get results on Weds. Doc pretty sure it is some kind of cancer so we wait til then and go from there. He is doing much better though. He doesn't like to sit too much and he opened up his stitches some by moving too much. I am sure everything is gonna be fine, but I am worried about him going thru chemo or radiation, but not that he is isn't going make it. So I am just staying extra busy and making more salsa and some zucchini bread. If you all thought I was passionate before..ya ain't seen nothing yet!!!

Now hubby doesn't want to drink soda at all...use to drink some. This kind of situation may make him one of us now.....he may start documenting all he drinks and eats. hehe.

We did have some fun times in the hospital. Went by a lady that looked like 150 and was wheezing and I said Damn, she doesn't look like she is gonna make it (but I wasn't meaning it in a mean way..just saying for real), but it made my husband laugh so damn much that he almost busted his stitches.

Well off to bathe the dogs, do some laundry and make some salsa and then workout a bit. Later ladies~ Keep working out hard. I will be back with my workout report tomorrow morning.
 
Char - I'm glad your dh is home. I'm sure he's much more comfortable there then in the hospital. I am still praying everything turns out ok. Scary that he may have to do radiation or chemo. Fingers are crossed that he doesn't have to go through that. Nice run, girl! I'm sure you needed it! Hugs!
 
Did you guys notice the green or red things next to your screen name? That is cool! If it's green it means you are online, if its read it means you're not. Too freakin' cool! I love this website.
 
This morning I did Hardcore Extreme # 2 and burned 580 calories, then I did Gymstyle legs just doing the standing leg. I went on and did Body Max 2 back 2 times, biceps 2 times, then the triceps 2 times. I finished with the abs and stretch. My right shoulder hurts so I had a really hard time with those side plank holds.

That's good that your husband is back home, Toasty. I hope all will be well.

My weekend was pretty non-productive workout-wise. Saturday I was sore so that was a rest day and Sunday I had company much longer than expected (which was cool, though), so I didn't workout, but since I felt stiff, I did Amy's second stretch segment from Abs and Stretch before bed.

As for today, a new class starts for me today, so i've been finishing up my syllabus. Blah. I've had a nice break. I'm still not up to my full school year schedule, but I do have more work now than I have had since mid June. The somewhat-break was nice. Workout will have to be when I get home this evening.

Char, not sure if you saw my previous posts, but I'm back to have to you guys whip me into shape. You sure have a great perspective for DH and he remains in my prayers. If I recall correctly, testicular cancer has a pretty good cure/survival rate.

Well, I stuck to the plan and did Amy's ASC on Saturday and again today. Kicked my butt, it's a lot shorter than ASCII and I do believe it is a little tougher than II as well at least as far as some of the moves. With the preview and still rewinding my workout was 47 minutes today and burned 541 calories. I should have stuck to 1 riser this time, but wanted a toughie today!

Debbie, you got a bike...good for you!! saves on gas I'm sure. pretty cool. I was thinking of starting one of your rotations for lower body fat blasting..with one or two days of upper body alternating cardio with a Main focus on lower body to lean out. Any suggestions?

Dallys-you got the Valslides heh? I've been tempted, do they work pretty good on carpet?

It just dawned on me that I missed the power ups again! It must be on the main menu when the workout is over, because it did not follow the step segments. Oh well, maybe Wednesday.

Im so glad to find this thread! I like to see what other heavy lifters are up to and what their pushing themselves to so I can gage my own progress (and decide if im being lazy and need to push harder hee)

Monday is LEG day for me (usually twice every 7-9 days)

Calves & Ab's
Just under and haour and a half. Sometimes I wonder if Im doing things right when I leave and don't feel "tight" in the legs.. but ill feel it around 3am and rest assured lol..
 
Hey Maniacs! Been to busy to check-in...SORRY! Anyhoos, today was a mountain bike ride. I started on my usual paved canyon trail that I do once in awhile, and had to cut that short as they blocked it off because of a fire, meanwhile, a "fire guy" told me where a trail head was, not to far away...like 50 yards! It's a trail head dh has been searching for, but could never find, it's kind of hidden. So, I head out solo on this trail and end up very high in the mountains. I had to call dh (when I got to the top) and tell him I found his trail and was on it and kind of uncomfortable, because I was alone, but, I'd survive. I climbed a fantastic climb of about 45 min. and then I found a dirt road that led me back down to my original paved trail (could have went for hrs. on this trail). Total ride took me about 1 and 1/2 hrs. Went about 16-17 miles. It was really fun, because it had rained the night before, so the smell was wonderful with the wet trees and dirt.

Lora- I saw your post and will get back to you on those exercises...promise!

Char- I know your dh will be fine with the spirit you two have. Count me in for many prayers...((((hugs too!)))

Ally- You'll be so close to me in SLC it's scary! What are you doing there? You aren't from Utah are you? If you are, I had no clue!

Amber- Yes! I have the Valslides. They glide on carpet like butta!;) A must have!

Been pampering myself today with my lush stuff..shhh, just got another order, don't tell! It's been like a spa here today.:cool:
