Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Mon Nov 13

How was cardio fusion. Was it broke down or just into it?
I amy just do it tonite instead.
I like BM2,but the 1 premix was not broken down and i don't know it well enough to hop right in yet.

I am a little sore in the chest today...Good thing. Legs are fine.
GS legs and L&G don't bother me, but B&G sure does.
I don't get it...
I am determined to loose this last weight before Jan. I know i can do it....
Well, gotta go back to work now...

Everyone I have heard from that has tried cardio fushion, so far, has liked it alot. I will try it soon.

Yes, if anyone can do Butts and Guts with heavier weights and still say it is EASY then they should be dang proud! When I did that one last I was hoping someone on there would make a sour face, like Jai, at some point so I know that they were feeling it to, ya know? All the smiling gets on my nerves sometimes.

No workout yet. I'm still headachy so I'll work out when I get home (truth: I was too tired to get up!). I made an appt. with the neurologist to make my DH happy. He's just sure there could be something wrong since I'm getting more migraines. I'm sure it's just getting closer to menopause. Then I have an appointment with the lung doctor in the afternoon to talk about my asthma. Should be interesting since I quit the meds b/c of too many headaches. I wish that was the reason for the most current ones, but I quit that stuff a couple of months ago. Whine, whine, whine! Really, I'm very healthy and so thankful for that.

Lora - you feel like you just left that place b/c you DID just leave that place - yesterday! :) Can you split your workout on doctor day and do half in the am and half in the pm???

Char - you're funny with the cardio. First none and now look at you! You're a cardio queen! And about DD's friend's mom - I hate it when people make "bossy" comments to me.

Meg - it's always great to catch up with friends. You've been working out hard, so give yourself a break (I say this b/c it makes me feel better for skipping this morning - hehehe).

Anne - congrats on the DOMS!!!!!!!

Debbie - good for you being able to do a boring workout for 8-12 weeks! Yikes!!!!

Randi - great workout. I love that you always enjoy your workouts. Have a GREAT day off!!! I hope you figure out how to post pics. I'm of no help. Do you have a digital camera or can you borrow one? That would probably be the first step.

Dallys - sounds like a good workout planned. Tough!

Off to a goodbye lunch. A pizza place. I'll have a salad. The only salad that is healthy tastes like crap, but oh well. :)

Charlotte - I know...Cathe's always so calm and pleasant when she says ...you should be feeling the burn by now.

Randi - I have the Peacock collection and I know Dallys just ordered it. I've actually had mine for a few weeks.....found it one evening when surfing QVC. I love it, but I always mix a bit of Warmth in with the gloss cuz the gloss is very nude/sheer and I need a bit of colour in my face since I'm so fair. I'm a huge BE fan! I posted the other day that my BPAL, MAC, BE and fitness videos are starting to take over my house.
 
Suz - I guess I shouldn't say boring. Its just hard to concentrate on this type of training, at least for me anyways. I really feel it, though. Thats the only reason I'll keep with it.
 
GOod afternoon,
This morning I ran for 60 minutes on the treadmill. I used a built in iFIT program that was hills staying between level 5 and 10. I went 4.25 miles. Then I did TLT strength in movement no str, then did Drill Max Total Body premix no w/up. Loads of functional fitness in both of these. Not sure how I will work the next couple of days because I have a vet appointment tomorrow and a eye appointment Wed.. As well as shoppping, banking and picking up the grandchildren.

Lora,on Friday why don't you do something like Body Max 2 upper and then the bonus lower and floor work from Butts and Guts. I think this comes to 52 minutes if you do Butts & Guts w/up and finish with Body Max 2 Str.. You might even have time to throw in the firewalkers:) I think that would hit everything pretty well. Great sounding workout today. Glad you are cheering up.

I have to go read all of the posts and pick up grandchildren. I will try and get back later. I will dig out some salad dressing recipes as well.

Hey Maniacs! Lunch time for me. I'm having salad with egg whites. Flax-Bluecheese-vinegar dressing. I also ate a few baked potato chips. Not very good. Not worth buying. EekPlatoooeeee!

That's about the count I figured you were doing. I bet it's a real burner. I can see how it might get a little boring. I can handle boring as long as it's working.

I ordered the Peacock bare escentuals collection. I'll let you know how I like it. I loved the eye shawdow colors and I needed a bag. And one can always use mascara and brushes and lip gloss.;)

Toasty - they forgot to include those in my last package......so I'll have to order them when I order more Jacob's Ladder. Now I'm tempted to just buy a bottle but I've got to go home and pay for tons of stuff I've been searching for on the Forum. I guess you got your package!! What else do you like? It's fun getting those in the mail, huh?

Suz - I hear you about the migraines. I get horrid migraines for about 10 days before, during and after my period. My sinus doctor says that I'll continue to get migraines severely unless I have sinus surgery........and that's not going to happen. He also told me how bad Zomig is for you - so I've been trying to limit taking them to only 3-4 days per month....which is hard. (I can't workout after work.....cuz I can't sleep if I exercise that late).

Diane Sue - Thanks for the recommendation. What does the bonus work consist of? Do you know?

I'd like to thank everyone here for motivating me to be better! I guess I'm getting all sappy (darned PMS). I'm really going to try working my legs and butt harder and see what happens........besides the hunger pains I've been experiencing from working them!!

Dallys - she does plank/side plank to crab series followed directly by plank walks to pikes on the gliding discs followed by roll outs with the discs and it's pretty tough and sort of fun cuz you feel like your a kid playing (sort of).
 
Homestyle Turkey Meatloaf-Eating for life cookbook (love this book!)

Servings:6

1 1/2 lbs lean ground turkey
1 onion, chopped
4 egg whites
1 c. salsa
3/4 c. old-fashioned oats, uncooked
1 pkg Knorr Vegetable soup mix
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 c. ketchup

preheat oven to 350 degrees

combine turkey, onion, egg whites, salsa , oats, soup mix and pepper. Press in 9" x 5" loaf pan and spread ketchup over top. Bake until meatloaf is no longer pink in the center and juice is clear. About 60 min. **I had to cook longer I remember**

So, I have this Cardio kickbox video from Jillian Micheals, (Biggest Loser) and I had never done it. SO I threw it in today for something different, and surprisingly I worked up a good sweat, and it was only 25 min. I liked all the moves. BUT, I was irked when we had to stop in the middle so she could pull her hair back. I was like WTF?? She actually made everyone wait! That and I swear her pants keep looking like they will fall off any minute since she wears them so low. But, hey, she can! SO, I like it for a quick cardio WO.
I then threw in Jari's RTTC, and did 9 of the 11 segments. Atleast I think it is 11. I skipped 2, since I was focusing more on UB. I got a real good burn going. Good WO.

Dallys- WTH is up with Ryan now being little Kate's biological dad??? I think that is quite the stretch, but oh well! LOL!

Deb- sounds like some good burners. 8 count negatives? WOW!

DS- I bought rancha and BBQ. I am curious what they taste like togehter. Looking foward to the recipes.

Lora- so glad to see you in a better mood lately! I love it when others are sappy, I can be too!

Suz- hope those headaches go away soon. What a bummer. Doesn't it suck when medicine that is supposed to help makes you feel worse. Good luck with it.

Randi- do you have a camera? Or do you have access to a scanner to copy regular pics?

Hi again,

I just did Plyo X.
It was 58 min. I was in my zone for 38 min. Average heartrate 138, and I burned 299 calories. That's more than I thought.:) I think my highest heartrate was 167. I think I'm getting used to this workout as I know my average heartrate used to be higher.

Dallys- That's pretty high for Plyo X. I rarely can get mine past 63....until lately when I discovered Amy's Hi/Lo!! I also got used to the P90X workouts.....especially Ab Ripper X....cuz you do it over and over. I can't workout without my HR monitor. When the battery dies and it's not replaced yet, I feel lost without it....I'm addicted to it. I have to make sure I'm working hard enough, ya know? Let me know when you get your sponges and BE Kit. Diane Sue - yes, I got the PM with the premix stuff....then today I noticed the tab on the workout descriptions on Cathe's site and it has them listed, duh!! When you use your Systane drops (after you haven't for several hours), do you ever get like a coating on your eyes that makes it hard for you to see?? I do and it drives me crazy.

Megadoo - you sound like you had a good workout!
 
Lora, I had not noticed that with the Systane but I do have that happen with the Genteal Gel drops. I think also sometimes I get some of my makeup or moisturizer in my eyes when using the drops and it can do that.

Dallys, I think it seemed like my hr was much higher when I first started doing plyo x than later. You got a good calorie burn in:)
