Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for June, 2015

Today I did Cardio Coach #3 and did really well with it. Had a great workout. Was supposed to do STS Meso 1 Legs but don't want to push it with my knees.

Workout was 40 minutes, I ran 2,6 miles and burned 275 calories.

I then did the Ab work from KPC. I have always loved that ab work. I did well with it and was able to do all the pykes on the ball. That surprised me since I have't been doing a lot of ab work lately.

I also did Yoga Stretch. Needed that badly.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Today I went for something different for my cardio. This rotation has Low Impact Challenge or Cycle Max every week. I wanted something else. I started with Ripped With Hiit Low Impact Hiit 1 mix 4, first half 2 second half of 1, 37 minutes, 141 calories. I think this may have been off because I was working hard even adding extra to the moves. On the next workout I had zero heart rate. So had to mess with the heart rate monitor. I put in Les Mills Combat Power Hiit, 30 minutes, 215 calories. I was working hard but only got a max HR of 159. I forgot that this had a lot of weight and strength stuff in it. I will see how I feel tomorrow when I get to Athletic Training. I wanted abs so did Z Cut Six Pack Power Abs, with the stretch, workout 2, 28 minutes, 132 calories. I like this because it is a tough workout. She uses weights throughout. I almost stopped here because I try not to go too much beyond 90 minutes but, I wanted more stretching so put in yoga relax. I skipped the warm up and final segment so the workout was 37 minutes and I burned 85 calories. My quads and hips are still sore from STS legs Tuesday. I can feel them when I climb the stairs

Debbie, I need to go check out the abs on KPC. I have not done that workout in years and forgot about the ab workout. Nice workout. Good idea on holding off on the legs if your knees are bothering you. I have been surprised at some of the things that bother mine.

Roselyn,4 Day Split boot camp is a good cardio workout

Today I did Low Impact Series Athletic Training, 56 minutes , 325 calories. This was less than last time and I went back and checked and my HR was higher this time. It makes no sense. I followed this with budokon strength and balance no meditations or spinal warm up, 32 minutes, 115 calories.

Today I did Meso 1, Disc 7 - Chest, Shoulders and Biceps. Again, way too many pushups. I did some dumbbell presses instead. Looking forward to Meso 2 and 3. I may skip next week's Meso 1 and go right to 2. We'll see. Had a good workout even though I kept getting interrupted.

Need to get some steps in today. I was really lazy this weekend.

Diane Sue - The HR monitors make no sense at all. Very frustrating sometimes.

Today I did Low Impact Series Total Body Tri-sets upper split is on shedule twice this week. 56 minutes, 201 calories (last time I didit was 260 calories  I felt I needed more than that so I did Kelly Coffey 30 minutes to Fitness Lean Body Circuits Mix Lean Body Cardio, 33 minutes, 207 calories and max heart ate was 160. Total time was 89 minutes and calories burned 408. Tomorrow is plyo legs . I will probably do it because the option is Turbo Barre and I do not want to do that one.

Debbie I understand on meso 1. I am tired of push ups. I am on week 7 of the rotation I am doing and getting a little bored. Half way there. Next week is all Meso 2 though for weights.

I thought you were on that one I think you posted it before, it looks interesting. Have you been doing this one from the beginning?

Today was cardio I did Hiit Double wave pyramid.

Today I did a Cardio Coach Mix I made up. Had a great workout and did well with it. My knees were sort of sore afterwards, not sure why? I stretched and that helped.

Workout was 50 minutes, I ran 3.21 miles and burned 364 calories.

Diane Sue - That rotation you are doing looks good. I may try that one eventually,

Roselynn - I think I will skip to Meso 2 next week. I cannot stand all the pushups and pullups in Meso 1.

Today I started with a 10 minute warm up on the spin bike, 44 calories. I then did STS Plyo Legs disc 29 mes0 3 week 2, 50 minutes, 257 calories. I then did Les Mills Combat Core Attack, 18 minutes, 56 calories and finished With Piyo Define Lower 21 minutesm, 58 calories. That one is really just a yoga flow. Warrior, crescent, pidgeon, down dog etc.. Total time was 99 minutes and calories burned 415. I lke a bit more ab work than is in this rotation although you do hit core and abs quite a bit . Tomorrow is Slide and Glide and you get bit of upper and abs if you do the entire workout.

Debbie, good job on the workout.

Roselyn, yes I have been doing it from the beginning. I did have a week of some other stuff and much shorter workouts when I had my grandbabies staying. My time was limited and I just called it my recovery week that is in the schedule. I did yoga and that is when I got Kelly Coffey's Lean Body Circuits so I tried those out.

Today I did Meso 1, Disc 8, Back and Triceps. I'm done with Meso 1. Can't take anymore. I will skip to Meso 2 next week. I think I will like that better. I might do the the Meso 1 Legs on Friday, we'll see how my knees are.

Today was Slide and Glide, 52 minutes. 200 calories. It seemed the heart rate monitor was still not right. I adjusted it and did Ripped with Hiit Low Impact 2 mix 3 , 1st half 2, 2nd half 1, 27 minutes, 152 calories. Still not right. When I go back to look at my the last time I did these same workouts it was higher. Let alone, workout manager is almost double what I am getting. I swear I could almost sit on my backside and get the same calorie burn. 79 minutes, 353 calories. When I was finished I took my frustration out with the vacuum cleaner and did upstairs and down. I may try one of my other monitors tomorrow.

Today was supposed to be Cardio Coach but we are having power issues at our house and when I started running on my treadmill the speed kept going up and down. We are having some bad surges and I need to call the electric company to find out what is going on. Looks like the wires coming into our house need replaced. They better not charge us for it. Good thing it's only 69 here today (can yo believe it? In June?) so our AC is not running. I couldn't run it anyways with the power doing what it's been doing. Scary stuff.

So today I ended up doing Meso 1 Legs, Disc 9. Had an ok workout, my right knee was bothering me so I had to go light. At least I was able to get something in.

Diane Sue - I so know what you mean. Even my Fitbit isn't giving me the calorie burn I should be getting. I have to adjust it in Myfitnesspal so I can eat more. I still don't think I'm eating enough. I wish there was something out there a bit more accurate.

Today I did Low Impact Series Total Body Tri sets Upper Split, 56 minutes, 203 calories. I then did Piyo Upper Define which is a lot of core and more push ups , 19 minutes, 51 calories. I finished with Z Cut Power Yoga series 1 Crescent, balance and plyo, warrior, and cool down, 27 minutes, 91 calories. Total time wa a ridiculous 1 hour and 41 minutes, 345 calories. I am so done with this heart rate monitor.

Debbie, I know what you mean. I usually end up adding something extra at the end of the day because if I eat only ories my heart rate monitor says I lose weight. I tried that and dropped to 112 which is not where I want to be. I keep track with My FItness Pal too.

Today I did Cardio Coach #1. Electric fixed thank goodness!!! I had a great workout, love this one.

Workout was 36 minutes, ran 2.48 miles and burned 278 calories.

Roselyn - Yay!!! Can't wait for Meso 2.

Hope you all have great workouts today!!! I will be MIA until Tuesday so see you all then!!!

Today's workout was Low Impact Challenge. I did the Extreme Mix, 71 minutes, 523 calories. I switched to my FT60 Polar and the old transmitter and strap, I had to tie a knot in the strap because it is always sliding down. This was so much better. I was under the workout manager but not a lot which was always pretty normal for me. I then did Kelly Coffey's Home Gym Intervals waistline bonus, 9 minutes, 52 calories, and Turbo Fire Abs 10, 11 minutes, 36 calories. Total time was 91 minutes and calories burned 611
I am wondering how long this will last with this heat rate monitor. I was using it before and it started going haywire. We will see. Maybe they just need a rest  This was my most expensive monitor with a lot of extra features and self battery changeable.

Debbie, nice workout :) It is always good when we enjoy our workouts. Glad your power is back on.

Today I did Low Impact Series Cardio Supersets, 41 minutes, 264 calories, Piyo Strong Legs with the gliding discs, 25 minutes, 110 calories, and Piyo define lower for the stretching, 20 minutes, 48 calories. Total time was 86 minutes and calories burned 422.

Today's workout was STS disc 22 Chest, shoulders, and Triceps, 43 minutes. I also did the extended stretch, 15 minutes. Total time was 58 minutes. Problems with the HR monitor again. By the time I was done with disc 22 I had burned 106 calories. checked My Fitness Pal and I had burned 238 before. I just logged it at 215 to be safe. It was totally irritating. Then I switched straps for the extended stretch and got 17 calories, :( My Fitness Pal is usually between 35 and 40 and Workout manager has it at 65. I am guessing my problem is the watch. It was the one I had just changed to. I think they all 'do not work. Or it is me. If I went with what I got I would have worked near an hour for 122 calories. Oh nd I forgot to mention that I did P90X Cold Start for an extra warm up. 12 minutes.
