Morning Maniacs -

I work early again....hard to get out of bed. Only had 4 hours of sleep, as I worked late last night. I did Val's AHB Build 2. Workout was 60" (did the core circuit an extra time) and I burned 476 calories. Max HR was 130 or 140...can't remember. My core is toast!

Hermia - I think the newsletter is linked to the site ...or you can sign up for it there. I wish I had more time to fit in Kundalini also. My days off have been too busy with doctor appts and this and that.

RE: In The Ring yesterday and calorie burn. Yes, I was surprised also, although my HR hovered at around 150-158 the entire workout....so I guess that seems about right for me, as that's a bit towards the higher end.

Deb - no, I like Maxie as a blonde. Yes, GH is getting good. I love when it gets crazy like this.

Have great workouts everyone. I'm really stressed this week. I swear this sales job is gonna make me have a stroke. It was dead all week and I've had to work with the other girl a lot of days, as we are double scheduled (I guess for the Holidays) and that makes it even harder to make your numbers. I'm also scheduled off this weekend and next weekend....which is normally the time your sales are better. I don't think I'm cut out for the life as a sales person. Oh well....at least I'm working, right?

Yesterday was supersets:

1-bulgarian split squat/pull up
2-sumo squat/push up
3-good morning/bent over reverse fly
4-squat jumps/planks
workout was 25 min and I burned 341 calories.

I'm back down to my original weight before flo' reared her ugly head, and I'll start Oleysa's plan tomorrow after I go to the store and cook. I'm very excited to see some changes in my body especially my stomach :D

Lora-your job does sound very stressful but I think it will start to pick up soon with the holidays
 
Happy Friday Maniacs!!!!!

Worked chest/back yesterday...had a great workout! I write down the weight I lift but for some reason thought last workout I had done 205# on rack pulls so I load the bar to 210# step up and do my reps...it's tough....well, duh cuz it should only be at 205#. One might not think 5# makes a difference but it does. Think I will stay at 205# another week as they were challenging....no reason to risk an injury. Did 2 sets of bench press at 110# and the rest at 105# Today's workout will be shoulders/arms/abs.

Meals:
M1: eggwhites/oatmeal/blueberries
M2: protein shake/power crunch bar
M3: chicken/brown rice/salsa
M4: apple/pre-workout drink
M5: post-workout drink
M6: ???? not sure....probably talapia or salmon w/veggies
M7: eggwhite/spinach/almonds

Tomorow Oregon plays Stanford so we are going to the game to watch my son Dewitt (game is at Stanford) SO excited! I miss him! It will also be my cheat meal....we are tailgaiting with a bunch of friends! :D

I tried to sleep a little later this morning so I split my workout up. I did STS Meso 3 week 2 biceps, shoulders and triceps using the Bowflex and burned 328 calories. When I came home from taking the girls to school I did a walk jog on the treadmill for 30 minutes and went 2.25 miles and burned 236 calories. I finished off with Yoga Shatki shoulder openers, lunge, supine and inversion segments and did some foam rolling and additional stretching for my back and shoulders. Total calories burned today was 653. Max HR was 151.
The grandbaby is on her way over and I have to go pick up the children and run a couple of hopefully quick errands while I am that way.

Sonya, enjoy your son's game and your tailgate party:D When lifting heavy 1# is a lot let alone 5#:)

Theresa, I know it is much easier to follow an eating plan if food is prepped and ready to go. Nice workout.

Lora, have you went through all of the REV Abs workouts yet?
 
Lora - I feel your pain. I tried sales jobs when I was young and I am definitely not cut out for sales. Do you have HipHopAbs?

DianeSue - I slept in like you this morning! It was great!

I think I am getting sick. My throat is a little sore, my nose burns and I am a little headachey. Kids are off today so I stayed in bed, then did not want to workout. Took an hour to talk myself into doing something, so I did Turbo Jam Fat Blaster. Workout was 30 minutes and I burned 200 calories. Going to a Town Dance with DH tonight so I'll burn some more there.:)

Linda, I thought I already sent a response for your post. Somehow I didn't get it posted. I hope you and your dh enjoying dancing tonight. I think that even 1# is a lot when I am lifting really heavy:) Everytime that I start to fell scratch throat and sick I start taking Zicam (without vitamin C) It seems to keep the colds etc gone. I read up on it and the zincs with vitamin C do not work. Really when you think about it it tells you on the package not to eat citrus fruit within so long of taking it. I buy the lozenges. I gather that the nasal one can mess up your sense of smell.
