Morning Maniacs-

This morning was WSFL - Week 3, Day 3. I did heavy supersets of Incline Chest Press/3-point DB Row - 3 sets and then started the metabolic circuits. Circuits were Abs on ball/Deadlift for 12 reps for 10 minutes and then DB Swing/Step Ups sets of 12 for 10 minutes. First circuit is always easier than the 2nd one. Cardio was 3 rounds of 120/120 with w/u and c/d stretch.

This cardio is harder for me than the shorter intervals. Got my HR up to 166. Used the Rebounder for the intervals and tried to run around the house for the recoveries...but DH was in the way! He was doing hanging ab work and using the big ball. I did some stepping on the higher step. Total workout with my own stretch was 61" and I burned 520 calories. Tunes were Papa Roach - Lovehatetragedy! I was rockin! and it helped get me thru that 2nd circuit.

I increased my weight and really concentrated on form. I'm gonna be needing a 35 lb set of DBs and 40 pound KB soon and don't have the money!

That guy at work that's into fitness is starting to diet for a competition he's going to be in. Maybe now that will help somewhat with him bringing cookies in!! He told me that I have an athletic build. I've never been called athletic before. He said my legs and glutes look really muscular! I guess with pants on, you can't see the layer of fat covering them!! LOL

Linda - I sent you a PM. Also, you can try getting NROL off of AMazon used and maybe you can get a cheap copy. I've done that before.

Deb - I love the new Theory of a Deadman Song - Bad Girlfriend. Have you heard it yet? Also a half decent song (would be good for workout song) is Rev Theory - song is Hell Yeah. I will try to get more names. I got the catalogs. Thanks. What would you say is the best mascara? Also, how is that Glazeware Liquid Lipstick? Like gloss?

WSFL Ladies - I wonder if Alwyn will come out with WSFL 2 and in that version have 3 sets of metabolic circuits in the workouts!! I was thinking about trying it for the heck of it....but I don't want to kill myself! LOL.

ETA: Not sure how the phone interview went. Not sure if I want that sort of job at this point in my life any way. It's working for the Executive Director of a Drug Rehab. It's probably really stressful. What do you ladies think?
 
Anyone have the website saved to calculate HR zones for Cardio Coach. For example - how I can figure out what number my HR should be at in each zone .......for example 140 = 80% of max, etc.? I know someone posted this a while back...but I failed to save it.

Today I am just gonna rest. My neck and shoulder area is really bothering me and I need to stay away from weights and other workouts to let it improve..just feels so jammed up in there. I got cleaning to do and I need to mow anyways.

Great workout! My elliptical tells me where I need to be for certain percentages, but not 80%, but I kind of estimate in my head what 80% is for me. It still would be nice to know exact number.
 
Hebrew Nation Doggies, 160 calories; fat 16g; 6g protein; 1g carbs no sugar and no fiber.
Fat free, 45 calories; 6g protien; 2g carbs; fat 1.5g no sugar and no fiber. There’s a huge differences in nutrient. They are expensive that’s why I JUMPED on buying them I got 24 in one pack and I noticed they are a bit bigger than the ff, be back with workout stats:

Tonight, I’m going for a nice long walk, can’t wait! May as well since it’s going to rain the weekend.
 
I finished my workout. I started with Jari Love's Ripped 1000 doing each cardio segment 2 times with no stretch or cooldown phase before going to the next weight segment. I never could figure why Jari has you do all of that stretching during the circuits I burned 579 calories doing this.(not 1000) I skipped the stretch and did BodyMax 2 Power Circuits no w/up and burned 230 more calories, went on to do Body Max 2 upper and stretch and burned 156 calories doing this. Total workout time with the 3 minutes finding my own zone was 2 hr 9 minutes and I burned 969 calories. DD is coming over in a bit so we can work on a project we are doing. Not sure how I am going to fit my workouts in this next week but I know I will. Monday is my colonoscopy and Friday is my dentist. I may get up Sunday and do something before I leave the house. It is usually my rest day. Only thing is I am going to be starving by the end of Monday. No solids all day Sunday and the procedure is in the afternoon on Monday:0 Better go get bathed before dd arrives. BBL

Charlotte, sorry about your shoulder and neck. Rest up. Maybe you could do some light yoga or something.

Let us know about the iron dilemna with you too when you find out why it is so high. Need to make appt for the colonoscopy too and think it is almost time for dentist as well. Time goes by so very fast.

Can't eat hotdogs anymore myself..make me feel sick. I was eating the turkey ones awhile back, but can't even muster that anymore. I think I am too use to tunafish. LMAO! Down 116 today and sporting a nice tan. hehe.
 
Charlotte, I rarely will touch a hot dog myself but I might once in awhile if I thought they weren't the leftovers off of the meat packing house floor. LOL I remember someone telling me horror stories about working in a plant that made hot dogs and lunch meats.
Last weigh in at the doctors I was at 110. I have it up to 112 right now. Have not had much of an appetite for anything lately. Usually love my salads and tuna etc.. I go for my yearly checks but I alway dread those things. Found myself telling the girl that drew my blood "thanks" thinking now why did I thank her for that??? LOL

Diane: Nice workout yourself;-) I can only give you the sodium count for the FF these are the ones I keep in frig at work, 370. I glanced at the other before I put in freezer at home and I think it was 420 or 460 not sure, is that high?
 
Today I had an excellent workout again. I am really enjoying my cardio workouts lately. Kind of weird.

I did one of my Cardio Coach mixes that was an hour long. I love this one because it gives me a great calorie burn.

Then I did Low Impact Circuit abs. That ab work is awesome. I haven't done that one in a long time. I actually forgot all about it.

Lora - I have Hell Yeah and I like it a lot. I'll check out the other one you mentioned. Glazewear is ok lip gloss, very thick if you like them that way. But for some strange reason they dry my lips out bad. But I have many customers that order it and love it.

Teddygirl - Thanks for the info on the hot dogs! They sound yummy! And I'm not even a big fan of hotdogs but lately that is what I'm craving. Weird.

Char - Hope you feel better soon. I have trouble with my neck/shoulder area too. I wonder why?

Hi Everyone,

Today is gonna be my rest day. I'm needing it. I'm feeling really tired and I believe it's due to TTOM. Hubby is taking me out to dinner tonight so looking forward to that!

Debbie - I'm starting your rotation tomorrow but will prob do some cardio just to tap it off. We'll see how I do. Great workout, doesn't it feel good when you enjoy and look forward to doing your workout?!

Lora - Nice workout. About your situation- I think if you're happy where you're at and you can do without the insurance, then I would stay where you're at. In the end you know what you need and the pay and gas prices, but happiness is a huge thing with me these days, don't need all the stress, when we're here for only a short time ya know. Just my opinion. Good luck with your decision. You do seem really happy where you're at, and the people you are working with seem to be a nice crowd to work with too! Hope that helps some.

Charlotte - I hear ya, let your body rest! Don't get too hot mowing the grass though. Where did you get your tan??!!

Diane Sue - I hope everything is okay. Is this just a regular check up/routine for you that you're having? Nice workout!

Teddygirl - How do you like Gym Styles? Nice workout by the way!

Sandy: I like GS upper body :) it reminds me of S&H almost the same exercises. Tomorrow, I’m doing legs going to do GS legs with Lowmax cycle 1 thru 7 OUCH! It's a great routine, I got this one from the lovely Pinky. Basically, a lower body interval workout. Enjoy din….din with hubby tonight:7 By the way, what rotation are you doing?
 
Teddygirl - Right now I've just finished up a 4 weeks of cardio doing mostly TJ's. I love those as a fun factor. I borrowed them from a friend, and every now and then I would throw in a Cathe kickbox and do that on a day I didn't do TJ, they don't compare to Cathe, but I sure do enjoy Chalene and all her positive talking and chipperness!

I'm starting the rotation that Debbie's doing starting tomorrow. I'm gonna start incorporating weights back into my workouts. I got burnt out from doing them there for a while, due to I was trying to lift heavy, although it felt good and made me feel very strong it took a toll on my arthritis in my back and neck. So, I just took a break from heavy lifting. I'm not gonna lift very heavy on this new rotation of Debbie's but I'm gonna try to follow it as best I can. Looking forward to it!

How long have you been working out? Is Pinky still around? I may be thinking of someone different.

Sandy: It is VERY easy to get burnt out, good that you are listening too your body. I like to see your rotation if you don’t mind :) me email is [email protected]. I have been working out bout 25 years. Pinky, use to hang out a bit here, don't hear from her anymore, miss her too.

Today, was going fast, now it’s going soooooooooo slow, maybe I need to do some work, huh! Have a wonderful weekend. :)

Just got back from the beach! What a beautiful day! Here this morning's workout:

Incline Chest Press
8/7/6 - 40's *I think one the hardest things is getting into position w/ those DBs LOL!
One Arm Row
8/8/8 - 47#

Circuit for 10 minutes in sets of six
Pushups with Jackknife *used perfect pushup handles**
Reverse Lunges using two purple bands doubled as resistance
Completed 7 rounds

Circuit for 10 minutes in sets of six
Squat & Press - 21's
Lat Pulldowns - used two purple bands wrapped several times around chin bar.
Completed 10 rounds.

then interval work of 120 high/ 120 recovery. Used Amy's A team bootcamp drills 1,2 & 4 and walk around for recovery.


Lora - I got your PM and many thanks! Also regarding a WSFL 2, I don't know if I could do a third set of circuits, especially after the one you did today. That one just kills me!

Lora - Meant to respond about the job interview. Yes, it does sound like it cold be stressful, but guess it really depends on the organization and the boss. Without any first hand knowledge, I can only offer that you know what you can handle and what you need. So you are going to have to weigh those things out. Personally, I hate being a secretary, but that's just my preference.
 
Re: the job thing.......I don't need the insurance now...as I have it thru my DH. I would only need it if something happened to his job. Should I just worry about that if it ever were to happen? I'm really liking my new environment and don't want to leave.

Dallys - I think you're the person that hooked me up with that website to calculate HR and percentages. Are you around?

Deb - I mean the song is called Hell Yeah.....it's not the band Hell Yeah. Just wanted to make sure you understood.
